The purpose of this study is to propose the basic guideline of the environmental sculptures to improve the quality level of the urban surroundings. The concept of the environmental sculptures was established and their roles in urban street scenary were investigated. And then, the relationships between the visual satisfaction and the elements which affect the visual harmony of Urban street scenary were analysed. The result of this study can be summarized as follows; The visual satisfaction was shown high at the sculptures itself with good shape and esthetic sense, and the harmony among the surroundings was estimated highly at the sculptures of good harmony with the floor surface, building and the elements surrounded it. And the highest satisfaction was shown at the scenary with the dean images and visual stability. The correlation of the degree of satisfaction with 5 variables which effect the satisfaction of urban streetscape shows that the harmony of shape is the most important variable for urban street scenary.

This paper aims at solving the bending problem by the applied force due to the configuration of the neck part of guitar. At reinforcing and using the existing guitar, the method to understand the area vulnerable to the load was studied. In this study, the material property of wood applied to the practical guitar was applied and the finite element analysis was carried out after the modelling. By using the result through the study of this paper, it is thought that the foundation of material about bending and damage which has been recognized as the problem of existed guitar can be obtained. This study aims at improving the guitar as the design to reinforce it is studied. The bending and the damage are prevented and the durability can be improved by applying to the practical design on the basis of the result of the improved study model. And it is possible to be grafted onto the convergence technique at design and show the esthetic sense.

Digital TV broadcasting technology is recognized as a very encouraging technological development by koreans because of high-definition, multi-channel and interactive services which would broaden the viewers choice and promote people's prosperity. The technological development of digital TV service is a drastic change for people's convenience and would be a major media of‘e-government’in Korea. Digital TV Program UI will affect to people's esthetic sense and information efficiency. The information search pattern in TV is different from it of computer which has lead interactive media so far This research verifies the reasonable information display method through the usability test based on former related researches. For the case study, Interactive EPG design of SkyLife is selected and reviewed. This research includes the design development of interactive EPG of DVB-MHP.

In cold winter season, the apparatuses of heating and heater which warm up the interior of a room are necessary element and the used amount of these apparatuses from the year 2000 has been increased abruptly. But, the fire accident and the danger of fire are also increased. Therefore, 3D modelling is done by referring three kinds of the electric heaters as the heaters of ceramic, carbon and near infrared ray sold in the city for the design of more safe heating apparatuses in this study. The thermal analyses with these models are carried out and the durabilities due to the thermal deformation and stress are studied. By the background of the study results derived in this study ultimately, the durabilities of electric heater models due to each shape can be anticipated and contributed to the development of new heating apparatus with more safe resistance to fire. And it is possible to be grafted onto the convergence technique at design and show the esthetic sense.

In this study, CFRP and metal or nonmetal were bonded with adhesive and the fracture study on this material was carried out. CFRP at the upper side of specimen and metal or nonmetal were assigned at the lower side of specimen by using DCB specimen as the analysis condition. And it was desribed that the structural adhesive were bonded between both upper and lower sides. As this analysis result, the least equivalent stress was shown at the specimen bonded with aluminium. The maximum shear stress was shown to become lowest at the de-bonded CFRP specimen when titanium was used. In conclusion, it was shown that the deformation of specimen became lowest when titanium was used. On the basis of this study result, the esthetic sense can be shown as the fracture data of bonded interface using adhesive are grafted onto the real life.

Side bolster is a part of the vehicle seat that holds the passenger's body from the side to make it more stable when the passenger is seated in the seat. In this study, the structural and fatigue analyses of the side bolsters at a car seat were carried out with two models of A and B. The heavily loaded parts, the damage by fatigue at driving a car and the difference of durability due to the structure were examined and the distributions of stress and deformation, and the fatigue lives were seen. Also, the strength and durability were examined. This study result is thought to be devoted to decrease the fatigue damage and increase the fatigue life and durability according to the design of bolster. This result is able to improve the product by applying the design of automotive side bolster practically. And it is thought to be the advantage to apply this study result to the convergence research with esthetic sense.

Jewelry has recognized as a part of independent formative arts of fashion with the change modern man's cognition for the fashion. It is a great important section to express fashion image. So, many corporations design and develop the jewelry by themselves to maxmize their fashion image. Among the so many kinds of jewelry, especially the necklace is located beneath the face and linked as a part of fashion, so it frequently has showed in Fashion Collection. Like this Fashion and jewelry enact each other and share their esthetic features but, it is insufficient the study of fashion linked with the jewelry. In this study, we defined the words which is using confusedly according to jewelry forms what researched by others. In addition, we tend to study the effect of that the form, hue and character of materials of necklace that is expressed in fashion collection influence fashion image. The method of this study is comprised with precedent studies and analysis of necklace photos in fashion collection. For the analysis of data, we implement content analysis and statistical analysis using SPAW Statistics 18(frequency analysis, percentage, cross-tabulations, $X^2$-test). Because the hue and the form of necklace take a great role to make fashion image with the sense of its eyesight, its effective coordination go up the delicate feelings with the form, hue and quality of the fashion. Especially, the hue is the essential element of formative characteristics to express visual image. The necklace had coordinated more frequently in S/S than F/W, it means that more light and simple fashion let ornamental beauty could express by the necklace. So, it is very effective things that we predict the trend of fashion, then, coordinate with well-matched necklace.

The Chinese nation is not a one-fold race; each dynasty absorbs the culture of the outside race. It is Tang Dynasty blends mutually however yield unusually brilliant results. The Tang Dynasty's national strength is forceful and the economy is prosperous. Above all, social custom and current of thought both break the constraint of previous dynasties' conservative thinking and keep positive and aggressive. While in the contact with extraterritorial culture, not only changes the feminine social status, but also produces unprecedented innovation and reform on the feminine dress. The Tang Dynasty's varied feminine suit is affected by the western regions of China culture, such as expose of chest, low collar, short top garment and skirt with narrow sleeves or wide sleeves, sleeve gown with plate collar or turndown collar, man's wear, and military dress, etc. An epoch can be known by Tang Dynasty feminine dress's special features, for example, the make-up of Tang-Shien-lon's Uan-Ho period presents dress style of late Tang days. However, the Chinese people compete mutually pursuing the strange costume, and accepting different cultural incitement This reveals that the changes of popular culture would result in the big transform of the Tang's dress style. This paper studies inherit of Tang Dynasty's culture and east-spread of the western regions of China culture. While understanding the Tang's favor in the western regions of China customs, all follow the western regions of China without exception, such as dance music, painting, dress, food, amusement, etc. Because of emperor's progressive race policy and forgiveness attitude to the foreign tribe that makes Tang Dynasty's feminine dress much easier to accept and blend the special features of the foreign tribe culture. While joined with west culture, and pick the dress's essence of the western regions of China, the original possessed of culture consciousness and esthetic sense improve and create their own dress, as well as enrich more inner part of dress art and the spirit.

Stage costumes perform not only the instrumental but also the expressive functions. The major goal of this study is to develop the functional and aesthetic costume designs for musical players considering the characteristics of instruments. players’ postures. The scope of this study is restricted to the musical costumes for female adult soloists playing the wind and string instruments. This study is composed of theory research, empiricalresearch and manufacturing a real costume. First, theory research contains theory of musical costumes and that of pure musical areas. Concept, characteristics and wearing effects are analysed in theory of musical costumes. Second, designs of instruments and playing postures are analysed in the theory of pure musical areas. Proper and improper designs are compared based on the survey asking the favorite designs of 56 wind and string players. Third, I manufacture a stage costume for a harpist. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, wind and string players think the functionality of costumes more importantly than the esthetic sense. And there are differences in design preferences for different playing postures. Second, string Players basically use arms, fingers and the upper body. Wind players use fingers more than string players and do abdominal breathing. Third, string players think the design of arms and sleeves because of frequent usage of bow and prefer the design without sleeves. On the contrary, wind players think the silhouette importantly because of standing playing posture. Fourth, players don't think that the accessory is not important and want it so long as it doesn't hinder playing. Fifth, shoes plays more important role than costume in case of playing posture with using pedals and moving legs frequently. Lastly, both wind and string players prefer the design with simplicity and comfort most.

In this study, the life evaluation due to the structural configuration of bumper attached at the front side of ATV vehicle is studied on the basis of fatigue analysis. As the purpose of this study, the characteristic of bumper exposed on the repetitive loading condition like the vibration is understood. The position of crack happened at the fatigue situation is grasped in advance and complemented in advance. It is considered that the multipurpose vehicle is designed to not be driven on the paved general road but the rough road like the unpaved load. And the weak part of bumper is understood through the study of life evaluation on this driving environment. The durability can be improved by doing the safe design of automotive bumper on the basis of the analysis result. And it is possible to be grafted onto the convergence technique at design and show the esthetic sense.
