  • The analysis of distribution line faults is essential to the proper protections in the power system. A high impedance fault does not make enough current to cause conventional protective devices. In this paper, Fractal dimensions are estimated for distinction between normal status and fault status in the power system. Application of the concepts of the fractal geometry to analyze chaotic properties of high impedance fault current was described. In addition, to analyze variation of fault current and normal current on phase plane, embedding state variables are reconstructed from 1 dimensional time series.

  • To realize the above concepts of underground space, several underground facilities are concentrated upon and around subway stations in harmony with underground pedestrian walkways. As a result, the reduction of transit time and pedestrian distance make it easy to get to an object. In this study, underground space is considered not just as pedestrian walkways, but as space for various activities and as a positive element in connection with its circumstances. The purpose of the study is to understand underground space's elements and develop more aesthetic and efficient design of the space to give mental composure and familiarity to users. The development of underground connection space is one of the methods to improve the quality of the whole downtown area. This paper studied the general characteristics of connection space and space improvements after spot inspections and suggested several aspects useful for substantial design as essential data for development of underground connection space.

  • Since the late 19th Century, modern architecture of definite figure and form shared similar concepts on space and from with the abstract art, pursuing the geometric purity and the abstraction. So the reductive approach had been taken in modern architecture as well as on modern art. The 1960 minimal art had experimented an extreme reduction with the cubic forms and the plane canvases, embodying so called minimal-art content, it was just another version of modernism art interpreted by the extreme reduction. The reduction is a characteristics of modernism adopted in every art field, including architecture. Not from the apparent, but from the essential quality of architectural form, figure and space resulting from the reductive approach, a building in this trend schould be judged and appreciated. In many aspects, Korean traditional architecture has been shown the characteristics of Minimal Architecture. With these points of view, this study analyzes characteristics of Korean traditional architecture with above contents through the form and space.

  • We establish an efficient strategy for construction and operation of data consolidation center for multi-organization in public sector. First, we introduce important concepts on data consolidation center in public sector, and draw some success factors by analyzing several foreign and domestic cases. Second, we construct all the possible logical operational models of the center and investigate the properties and feasibility of the models. Third, we suggest a virtual operational environment for the two representative models selected by feasibility criteria among the possible logical models, and compare the two models in terms of operational cost. We also utilize AHP methodology to evaluate qualitative opinions on the two models from several experts in public information systems. As a result, we find the best alternative is the case in which all infrastructure and facilities for the center are provided by government, and common essential IT operations are integrated, associated data are consolidated and the whole operational work are outsourced to specialized IT operations service providers.

  • The Government's investment for rural issues and continues to increase in the rural village developed and emerging. Among these development plans in the amenity characteristics analysis is an essential element of working. In this study, Chungbuk Yeongdong sihanggol in sub-analysis of the resources and amenities to the regional characteristics you want to animate a plan was developed. Analysis of city attractions as well as through seeking to gain a competitive edge and to reflect the resident physicians conducted a SWOT analysis. Major strategic include utilizing the strengths sihanggol opportunities for the many ways to leverage the resources and sub-concepts derived from detailed planning to detailed business information presented.

  • Configuration management (CM) is the process of identifying and documenting characteristics of plant structures, systems and components (SSCs), and of ensuring that changes to these characteristics are properly assessed, approved, implemented, verified and recorded. The purpose of this study is to examine regulation and technical standards developed under different concepts and level of depth for classification of nuclear SSCs as an essential prerequisite of the CM. In this context, main contents of currently adopted NSSC Notice 2016-10 are reviewed and compared with those in recently published ANSI/ANS 58.14 and IAEA SSG-30. The technical standards were prototypically used for classification of O-rings in two nuclear systems. It is found that ANSI/ANS 58.14 results in different categories taking into account specific features while IAEA SSG-30 leads to same categorization of the O-rings. Key findings will be summarized for Korean regulatory amendment in the future.

  • The 21th century is rapidly turning to the era of supernational competition aimed at global customers. Under these circumstances, applying the value innovation to space which will be in charge of value creation is recognized as being essential to life. This study aims to newly define the conception, the viewpoint, and types on applying the value innovation to space, which has not been established logically yet. The purpose of analyzing cases where the innovation was applied at home and abroad is to provide basic logic to establish these concepts in real space design. This study is prospected to be the core strategy of growth cause for maintaining our industrial development, so it is suggested that accepting, widening, and developing it may enable us to prepare for the continued innovation to space.

  • The deeping interests and research toward Entrepreneurship, which is considered as an potential alternative for solving the continuing economic recession in the $21^{st}$ century, have grown. The process and methodology of the research could not be systematically arranged and the results of the research lack in efforts on the application of increasing suceess ratio in starting new business. This study adopted corpus methodology, through which we try to analyzes the knowledge structure in entrepreneurship research, derive essential concepts and the consisting domains in venture research. Based on the results of analysis, this study constructs the knowledge structure of venture research in a form of knowledge ontology. The results of the study could be a ground for entrepreneurship research and utilized as implication for a creation of construction for the entrepreneurship knowledge ontology.

  • Vascularization is essential for success in regenerative medicine. We have developed in vitro models to study how human microvascular endothelial cells (EC) and endothelial progenitor cells (EPC) colonize polymer scaffolds and express the endothelial phenotype, including angiogenesis. Examples are given of supportive growth and differeniation of EC on microfibre meshes of the silk protein fibroin and blends of starch with poly(epsilon-caprolactone), phenotypic markers being studied at both protein and mRNA level. Experimental models are also shown and concepts discussed to investigate how the stem cell niche, including that responsible for vascularization could be targeted, for example, by using engineered biodegradable polymer nanoparticles.

  • This paper presents the development of a simulator for an industrial robot. The simulator is characterized by a fully integrated dynamic model and a hardware oriented control scheme. The dynamic model includes the actuator dynamics as well as the manipulator dynamics to integrate the entire dynamics of the robot system. On the other hand, the control scheme is oriented as a hardware structure which is usually implemented in the industrial robot. That is to say, a conventional PI control law is used to regulate the position, the speed, and the current. A Pulse Wave Modulation (PWM)generator modulates the supplied voltage to the actuator. Since the simulator is consistent with the industrial robot system, it provides the essential design concepts for the development process of the robot. In practice, the simulator is applied to the SCARA robot which has been developed in GSIS. Here, it investigates the characteristics and performance of the robot with changing design parameters. Thus, the investigation furnishes criteria for the selection of acfuator, control gain, trajectory planning, etc.
