The Centimeter Level Augmentation Service (CLAS) is the Precise Point Positioning (PPP) - Real Time Kinematic (RTK) correction service utilizing the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) L6 (1278.65 MHz) signal to broadcast the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) error corrections. Compact State-Space Representation (CSSR) corrections for mitigating GNSS measurement error sources such as satellite orbit, clock, code and phase biases, tropospheric error, ionospheric error are estimated from the ground segment of QZSS CLAS using the code and carrier-phase measurements collected in the Japan's GNSS Earth Observation Network (GEONET). Since the CLAS service begun on November 1, 2018, users with dedicated receivers can perform cm-level precise positioning using CSSR corrections. In this paper, CLAS-based VRS-RTK performance evaluation was performed using Global Positioning System (GPS) observables collected from the refence station, TSK2, located in Japan. As a result of performing GPS-only RTK positioning using the open-source software CLASLIB and RTKLIB, it took about 15 minutes to resolve the carrier-phase ambiguities, and the RTK fix rate was only about 41%. Also, the Root Mean Squares (RMS) values of position errors (fixed only) are about 4cm horizontally and 7 cm vertically.
Line source model is commonly used in analyzing the data obtained from thermal response test to estimate the effective soil formation thermal conductivity. In the application of line source model some part of initial data must be ignored in order to achieve more accurate result. The period of time for this initial data is called initial ignoring time(IIT) in this paper. However there has been no definite rule in determining this initial ignoring time. Therefore line source model requires experienced analyzer to select the useful data, which is somewhat subjective. One method often suggested is the calculation of IIT with non dimensional time $\tau=5$. However, this is a very theoretical result derived from a system of perfect line source model, which is somewhat different from the real system. A new method to determine IIT is presented in this study. This method requires error estimation first and IIT can be decided from the results of error estimation. This method is applied in the analysis of field test data and shows better result than the one obtained from the method using non dimensional time mentioned above as shown in Table 2.

The MPEG-2 source coding algorithm is very sensitive to transmission errors due to using of variable-length coding. When the compressed data are transmitted, transmission errors are generated and error correction scheme is not able to be corrected well them. In the decoder error concealment (EC) techniques must be used to conceal errors and it is able to minimize degradation of video quality. The proposed algorithm is method to conceal successive macroblock errors of I-frame and utilize temporal information of B-frame and spatial information of P-frame In the previous GOP which is temporally the nearest location to I-frame. This method can improve motion distortion and blurring by temporal and spatial errors which cause at existing error concealment techniques. In network where the violent transmission errors occur, we can conceal more efficiently severe slice errors. This algorithm is Peformed in MPEG-2 video codec and Prove that we can conceal efficiently slice errors of I-frame compared with other approaches by simulations.

In this paper, we propose and analyze a novel interference cancellation scheme in cooperation communication environment in which a large number of users exist. In cooperative communication system consisting a source, destination, and relay, ad-hoc groups undergo a rapid degradation because of interference data form adjacent ad-hoc groups. To solve these problems, we propose Zero Forcing (FC) and Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) and make a dent in the magnitude of interference. Finally, we can obtain orignal data using Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC). The performance of proposed scheme is analyzed in terms of a bit error probability. The results of the paper can be applied to design of various ad-hoc networks for cooperation communication systems.

In this paper, WiMedia Distributed-MAC protocol is adopted for development of an OSMU (One Source Multi Use) N-screen wireless multicast service. But, when considering wireless communication environment where channel error rate is time-variant, N-screen high-speed data is vulnerable to be lost. For this problem, a multicast relay scheme is proposed by analyzing Distributed-MAC protocol. In proposed multicast relay scheme, Multicast-free DRP Availability IE is combined and the relay node suitable for N-screen multicast transmissions is selected. Through this operation, it can avoid wireless channel with high errors and can transmit N-screen high-speed data. In simulation results, the proposed multicast relay scheme is compared with conventional Distributed-MAC multicast scheme in view points of throughput and energy consumption according to various numbers of multicast nodes and BER (Bit Error Rate) values in wireless channel. Through simulation results, it is explained that proposed multicast relay scheme should be adopted in WiMedia Distributed-MAC protocol to realize OSMU N-screen wireless multicast services.

In this paper, we propose the high efficiency data compression capable of error control using block-sorting, move to front(MTF) and arithmetic code with variable length in to fixed out. First, the substring with is parsed into length N is shifted one by one symbol. The cyclic shifted rows are sorted in lexicographical order. Second, the MTF technique is applied to get the reference of locality in the sorted substring. Then the preprocessed sequence is coded using VF(variable to fixed) arithmetic code which can be limited the error propagation in one codeword. The key point is how to split the fixed length codeword in proportion to symbol probabilities in VF arithmetic code. We develop the new VF arithmetic coding that split completely the codeword set for arbitrary source alphabet. In addition to, an extended representation for symbol probability is designed by using recursive Gray conversion. The performance of proposed method is compared with other well-known source coding methods with respect to entropy, compression ratio and coding times.

This paper considers the analysis of the flight performance reserve, which is required propellant to compensate various launch vehicle performance deviations, to inject the payload of a 3-staged launch vehicle to a circular sun synchronous orbit at a height of 700 km. The various error sources, which affect the orbit injection accuracy, and their uncertainty are defined first. Then the sensitivity analysis, which has the advantage that each error source effect can be investigated independently, is performed for the extreme ${\pm}3{\sigma}$ conditions of the launch vehicle performance errors. Monte carlo simulations are also conducted to compute the propellant reserve, which can consider the combined effects of each error source. Finally the obtained flight performance reserves by the two approaches are compared and it is confirmed that they show similar results.

Although crack on concrete exists from its early formation, crack requires attention as it affects stiffness of structure and can lead demolition of structure as it grows. Detecting cracks on concrete is needed to take action prior to performance degradation of structure, and deep learning can be utilized for it. In this study, transfer learning, one of the deep learning techniques, was used to detect the crack, as the amount of crack's image data was limited. Pre-trained Inception-v3 was applied as a base model for the transfer learning. Web scrapping was utilized to fetch images of concrete wall with or without crack from web. In the recognition of crack, image post-process including changing size or removing color were applied. In the visualization of crack, source images divided into 30px, 50px or 100px size were used as input data, and different numbers of input data per category were applied for each case. With the results of visualized crack image, false positive and false negative errors were examined. Highest accuracy for the recognizing crack was achieved when the source images were adjusted into 224px size under gray-scale. In visualization, the result using 50 data per category under 100px interval size showed the smallest error. With regard to the false positive error, the best result was obtained using 400 data per category, and regarding to the false negative error, the case using 50 data per category showed the best result.
The importance of emotional quality of car is getting higher in these days. Noise takes great portion in emotional quality because it is detectable problem with just a few rides. The sources of car noise during operation are various and the related technical issues are vast. Sometimes weldments of auto body are referred as the source of noise and the suspicious weldment shows unsatisfactory welding quality in most cases. In this research, cases of noise making weldments are investigated to figure out the solution for welding quality improvement. They are categorized into several groups in according to the inferred types of the error source then appropriate solutions are suggested. Auto body has weldments of resistance spot welding and gas metal arc welding in general. Therefore the solutions are suggested as adjustment of welding process variables and related machineries. Inevitable error source is also referred which is originated from thermal expansion rate difference between ultra high strength steel and mild steel. This new approach is validated through simple calculation then more concrete investigation with numerical analysis is remained as further works to be done.
In this paper, matched field processing algorithm robust to environmental mismatches in an ocean waveguide based on feature extraction is summarized. However, in applying this processor to localize a source there are two preliminary issues to be resolved. One is the number of eigenvectors to be extracted and the other is the number of environmental samples to be used. To determine these issues, the relation between the number of dominant modes propagating in a given ocean waveguide and that of eigenvectors to be extracted is analyzed. Then, the analysis results are confirmed by the subspace analysis. This analysis quantifies the similarity between the subspace spanned by the signal vectors and that spanned by the eigenvectors to be extracted. The error index is defined as a relative difference between the location estimated by the current processor and the real source location. It is identified that in the case of extracting the largest eigenvectors equal to the number of dominant modes in a given environment, the processor localizes the source successfully. From the numerical simulations, it is shown that use of at least 30 environmental samples guarantee stable performance of the proposed processor.
