  • 3D Modeling Solution can reduce projecting error and also make possible to design visually, so that it can minimize human resources. On the other hand, it has defects of operating difficulties caused by too much complex function, thus it consequently prevent user from prompt handling. According to this paper, the developed party S/W will help that user can construct the parts easily, can let everybody use 3D modeling solution readily, and make fast development of new product. This software will carry out prompt development of new product and derive satisfaction of customers from high quality. Also, saving time and expense naturally raise competitive power in consequence.

  • In this paper, a robot automation technology for chemical tank lorry unloading is presented. Handling chemical coupler between tank lorry and ACQC system may be hazardous or toxic to human operators, therefore robot automation is essential. Due to tight tolerance between couplers, even small pose error may result in very large internal force. In order to resolve the problem, compliance between male and female couplers should be introduced with 6-axis compliance device with F/T sensing. The proposed robot automation system consists of a collaborative robot, 6-ax is compliance device with F/T sensing, linear gripper, and robot vision. The position/force control algorithm and experimental results for assembling chemical couplers are presented.

  • This study demonstrates that certain personal and task factors can be modelled to predict slip potential as well as back loadings durings dynamic pushing and pulling tasks. Such tasks are com- mon to many manual material handling jobs in industry and the results of this work will hopefully be of use in improved job design. The objective of this research is to formulate and validate a dynamic biomechanical model of pushing and pulling a cart. For pushing and pulling tasks, the model can : (1) estimate foot forces for given hand forces, and (2) estimate tors muscle and vertabral column loadings. In order to formulate and validate the model, experiments involving pushing and pulling of a cart were performed. These experiments produced data of the following type : (1) dynamic forces on the feet, (2) hand forces required to move the cart, (3) body motions as functions of various cart motion and (4) back muscle actions. The model was validated using three different methods; precision was tested using correlation between predicted and measured results, accuracy using standard error between of predicted and measured results, and intuitive comparison of predicted results using sensitivity analyses.

Design and experimentation of remote driving system for robotic speed sprayer operating in orchard environment

  • The automation of agricultural machines is an irreversible trend considering the demand for improved productivity and lack of labor in handling agricultural tasks. Unstructured working environments and weather often inhibit a seemingly simple task from being fully autonomously performed. In this context, we propose a remote driving system (RDS) to aid agricultural machines designed to operate autonomously. Particularly, we modify a commercial speed sprayer for orchard environments into a robotic speed sprayer to evaluate the proposed RDS's usability and test three sensor configurations in terms of human performance. Furthermore, we propose a confidence error ellipsebased task performance measure to evaluate human performance. In addition, we present field experimental results describing how the sensor configurations affect human performance. We find that a combination of a semiautonomous line tracking device and a wide-angle camera is the most effective for spraying. Finally, we discuss how to improve the proposed RDS in terms of usability and obtain a more accurate measure of human performance.

  • 최근 해난사고가 난로 증가되고 있으며, 특히, 인적과실로 인한 충돌사고의 비중은 $70\%$에 이르고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실시간 충돌위험도 표시 시스템을 개발함으로써, 충돌위험도를 사전에 인지함으로써 비상상황에 효과적으로 대처하고, 인적과실로 인한 충돌위험도를 줄이고자 하였다. 이를 위해 충돌위험도 추정에 있어, 2가지 방법을 비교 검토하였는데, 선박들 간에 충돌위험도를 평가하는 퍼지 알고리즘을 이용한 방법과 항해사가 느끼는 환경스트레스를 이용하여 충돌위험도를 평가하는 방법이다. 개발된 실시간 충돌위험도 표시 시스템을 검증하기 위해 선박운항 시뮬레이터에 설치하고 다양한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

FNN 및 PNN에 기초한 FPNN의 합성 다층 추론 구조와 알고리즘 (The Hybrid Multi-layer Inference Architectures and Algorithms of FPNN Based on FNN and PNN)

  • In this paper, we propose Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(FPNN) based on Polynomial Neural Networks(PNN) and Fuzzy Neural Networks(FNN) for model identification of complex and nonlinear systems. The proposed FPNN is generated from the mutually combined structure of both FNN and PNN. The one and the other are considered as the premise part and consequence part of FPNN structure respectively. As the consequence part of FPNN, PNN is based on Group Method of Data Handling(GMDH) method and its structure is similar to Neural Networks. But the structure of PNN is not fixed like in conventional Neural Networks and self-organizing networks that can be generated. FPNN is available effectively for multi-input variables and high-order polynomial according to the combination of FNN with PNN. Accordingly it is possible to consider the nonlinearity characteristics of process and to get better output performance with superb predictive ability. As the premise part of FPNN, FNN uses both the simplified fuzzy inference as fuzzy inference method and error back-propagation algorithm as learning rule. The parameters such as parameters of membership functions, learning rates and momentum coefficients are adjusted using genetic algorithms. And we use two kinds of FNN structure according to the division method of fuzzy space of input variables. One is basic FNN structure and uses fuzzy input space divided by each separated input variable, the other is modified FNN structure and uses fuzzy input space divided by mutually combined input variables. In order to evaluate the performance of proposed models, we use the nonlinear function and traffic route choice process. The results show that the proposed FPNN can produce the model with higher accuracy and more robustness than any other method presented previously. And also performance index related to the approximation and prediction capabilities of model is evaluated and discussed.

GMDH를 이용한 전력 수요 예측 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Power Demand Forecasting Algorithm Using GMDH)

  • 본 논문에서는 데이터의 효율적인 활용과 정확성에서 보다 우수한 특성을 보이는 GMDH(Croup Method of Data Handling) 알고리즘을 전력수요예측에 적용함으로써 입력 데이터의 선정을 용이하게 하였고, 다양한 데이터를 기반으로 보다 정확한 예측을 할 수 있게 하였다. 그리고, 예측 시에 경제적인 요인(GDP, 수출, 수입, 취업자 수, 경제활동인구, 석유소비량)과 기후적인 요인(평균기온)을 모두 고려하였다. 또한 목표 예측 기간을 1999년 1/4분기에서 2001년 1/4분기까지 9개의 분기로 가정하고, 가정한 목표 기간의 예측 정확도를 높이기 위해 3단계의 시뮬레이션 과정(최적 입력 분기 수를 결정하는 과정, 입력 데이터와 예측값의 시간적 연관성을 분석하는 과정, 입력 데이터의 최적화 과정)을 이용함으로써 더 정확한 전력수요예측 방법을 제시하였고, 제안된 기법으로 목표한 예측 기간에서 0.96%의 평균 에러율을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 조선기술과 항해장비 기술이 발전하고 있지만 여전히 해양사고는 80%이상이 인적과실에서 비롯되고 있다. 인적과실을 저감시켜 해양사고를 절감시키려는 노력은 항해사를 대상으로 면담이나 설문을 시행하는 등 정성적인 연구방식에 많이 의존하고 있어서 객관적인 인적과실의 실체를 규명하는데 제한이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이 같은 단점을 극복하기 위하여 항해사의 항해 업무 수행을 방해하지 않으며 공간적 제한을 극복할 수 있도록 웨어러블 센서를 활용하여 항해사의 동작을 실측하고 상황인지 여부가 항해 수행 동작에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 구분하고자 한다. Full mission ship handling simulator를 활용하여 항해사가 특정한 시나리오를 수행하는 중에 위험성을 가진 장애물을 발견하기 전과 후의 어떤 행동패턴 변화를 보이는지 측정하였다. 구분된 항해 동작 패턴은 항해 위험 상황에서 적절한 조치를 취하고 있는지 여부를 객관적으로 구분하여 인적과실을 절감하는데 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

Comparing Inhaler Use Technique Based on Inhaler Type in Elderly Patients with Respiratory Disease

  • Background: The aim of this study was to investigate inhaler device handling in elderly patients. Inhaler devices with respect to misuse and error correction were also compared. Methods: Inhaler use technique was assessed using standardized checklists at the first visit and 3-month follow-up visit after retraining. The primary outcome was difference in the acceptable use ratio among inhaler devices. Secondary outcomes included differences in error correction, the most common step of misuse, and factors affecting the accuracy of inhaler use. Results: A total of 251 patients (mean age, 76.4 years) were included. The handling of 320 devices was assessed in the study. All patients had been trained before. However, only 24.7% of them used inhalers correctly. Proportions of acceptable use for Evohaler, Respimat, Turbuhaler, Ellipta, and Breezhaler/Handihaler were 38.7%, 50.0%, 61.4%, 60.8%, and 43.2%, respectively (p=0.026). At the second visit, the acceptable use ratio had increased. There were no significant differences among inhaler types (Evohaler, 63.9%; Respimat, 86.1%; Turbuhaler, 74.3%; Ellipta, 64.6%; and Breezhaler/Handihaler, 65.3% [p=0.129]). In multivariate analysis, body mass index, Turbuhaler, and Ellipta showed positive correlations with acceptable use of inhalers, whereas Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Assessment Test score showed a negative correlation. Conclusion: Although new inhalers have been developed, the accuracy of inhaler use remains low. Elderly patients showed more errors when using pressurized metered-dose inhalers than using dry powder inhalers and soft-mist inhalers. However, there were no significant differences in misuse among inhaler devices after individual training. Results of this study suggests that repeat training is more important than inhaler type.
