재설계 기능을 갖는 냉간단조 공정설계용 전문가시스템 개발 (Expert System for Process Design of Cold Forging with Redesigning Scheme)

  • In this study, an expert system for multi-stage cold forging process design of axisymmetric parts is developed. The available geometries are axisymmetric shape and cylinder with a hold in one end. The overall system is composed of knowledge-based system for process sequence design, output module interfaced with CAD system and material data-base. In the developed system, designed process can be modified in order to reduce the number of processes and make the distribution of forming load be almost equal at various deforming stages within the machine capacity. After process sequence design is completed, results can be stored as a text file or a commercial CAD system file. The capabilities of the developed system are illustrated through various examples of process design.

원통셸의 근사이론에 관한 연구 (Study on the approximate theory of cylindrical shells)

  • An approximate theory of circular chlindrical shells under arbitrary load is derived on the basis of Vlasov's semimembrane theory. With this approximate theory concrete cylindrical shells subjected to wind loading is analized and its accuracy is investigated with the results of Donnell's equation. In this study the foollowing results are abtained : (1) The expression of .kappa.$\_$2/=.part.$\^$2/.omega./.part. s$\^$2/ for the change of curvature gives much simplicated closed form colution. (2) This approximate theory is to be applicable with sufficient accuracy in the stress analysis of concrete cylindreical shells which the ratio L/D is equal or greater than three.

  • MRAS observer, which is based on adaptive control theory, estimates speed and position by using optimal observer gains on the basis of Lyapunov stability theory. However, in case of MRAS theory, position estimation error is in existence because of non-linearity for inductance variation and limit cycles for position estimation. The adaptive sliding observer based on the variable structure control theory estimates the speed and position for zero of estimation error by using the sliding surface equal to the error between speed and position estimation. The binary observer estimates the rotor speed and rotor flux with alleviation of the high-frequency chattering, and retains the benefits achieved in the conventional sliding observer, such as robustness to parameter and disturbance variations. The speed and position sensorless control of SRM under the load and inductance variation is verified by the experimental results.

  • 24V DC power system of commercial vehicle includes 28V alternator and 24V battery bank (two 12V battery bank in series). BEQ(Battery Equalizer) provides efficient and reliable 12V DC power to 12V electrical load in 24V DC power system. In addition to providing 12V DC power, BEQ ensures that battery voltages remain equal which extends battery life. It is the most cost effective and efficient solution for dual voltage systems. BEQ made by Hyundai MOBIS is specifically designed to provide reliable 12V DC power for 12V ABS(Anti-lock Brake system).

Parallel Connected High Frequency AC Link Inverters Based on Full Digital Control

  • This paper presents a full digital control strategy for parallel connected modular inverter systems. Each modular inverter is a high frequency (HF) AC link inverter which is composed of a HF inverter and a HF transformer followed by a cycloconverter. To achieve equal sharing of the load current and to suppress the circulating currents among the modules, a three-loop control strategy, consisting of a common output voltage regulation (OVR) loop, individual circulating current suppression (CCS) loops and individual inner current tracking (ICT) loops, is proposed. The ICT loops are implemented with predictive current control from which high precision current tracking can be obtained. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by simulation and experimental results from parallel connected two full-bridge HF AC link inverter modules.

  • In the high rotational speed and pressure state, the leakage flow rate of the axial piston pump is one of the serious problems and make great reasons to decrease the volume efficiency. In this study, tribology characteristics is clarified for the hydrostatic slipper bearing in the swash plate type axial piston pump, by means of theoretical analysis for the different shape of the hydrostatic slipper bearing. It was analyzed by Mathcad software and used equal conditions at $0^{\circ}$ swash plate angle in each model. The results show that performance characteristics of the swash plate type axial piston pump are significantly influenced by the shape of the hydrostatic slipper bearing.

  • In this paper, we propose two types of WDMA protocol for multi-wavelength optical networks that have a dedicated control channel. Protocol type I is designed for the case that the number of nimislots is less than the number of nodes (La${\ge}$M). Proposed protocols employ the aging scheme to guarantee a fairness in the process of channel allocation. The perfomrance of proposed protocols are evaluated in terms of throughput and delay with variations in offered load. Simulation results show that the proposed protocols have superior performance to conventional protocols.

  • This paper presents the theoretical analysis method to determine the stress concentrations around the circular cutouts with various geometrical parameters. The purposes of this study are to investigate on the stress distribution around the circular cutouts due to interaction between two circular cutouts and to develop the design method in composite plates. The composite laminated plate with 2 equal collinear circular cutouts under inplane loads is treated as an quasi-isotropic, symmetric, finite, square, multiply connected and thin plate. The effects of cutout sizes, distances between two circular cutouts and inplane load conditions on stress distribution are studied in detail.

  • The purpose of this paper is to provide technical background, techniques and actual diesel engine signature analysis evaluation result. Engine signature analysis(ESA) is a process for monitoring the material condition of diesel engine using external sensors, eliminating the need to periodically disassemble the engine. ESA is also used to balanced the engine. Engine balancing is the process of tuning the engine so that all cylinders carry equal load. ESA is a useful tool to non-intrusively determine the operability and performance and assessment of the material condition of internal component of a diesel engine.

  • The effect of refrigerant R-134a and R-430a on the performance of refrigeration equipment for R-134a is investigated. Refrigeration effect, compression work and coefficient of performance of refrigeration equpment for both R-134a and R-430a are obtained by experimentation. These performances comparison between R-134a and R-430a is made in case of the maximum load. Refrigeration effect for R-134a and that for R-430a is almost equal while compression work for R-134a is less than that for R-430a. Consequently it shows that coefficient of performance for R-134a is relatively 11% higher than that for R-430a.
