Resin, Ag를 첨가한 YBCO 초전도체의 기계, 자기적 특성 변화 (Mechanical and Magnetic Properties Variation of YBCO Superconductors with Resin and Ag Impregnation)

  • We studied the mechanical and magnetic properties of Y-Ba-Cu-O superconductor with and without resin and Ag impregnation. Bulk YBCO superconductor was manufactured with the top-seeded melt-growth method. Typical sample of 40mm X 20mm X 3mm was made and then 8 holes with 0.5mm diameter were drilled arbitrally. Epoxy resin and $AgNO_3$ were systematically added into the holes to compare the mechanical and magnetic properties of YBCO superconductor before and after reinforcement of resin and Ag. Based on the result of 3 point bending, bending strength increased with increasing amounts of resin and carbon nano-tube. However, it was found that the levitation force decreased after making hole, compared with virgin sample without hole.

  • The design and construction of a 13 Tesla / 46 mm bore superconducting magnet is presented. The system consists of an 5 Tesla outer NbTi coil with a bore I.D. of 144m, a winding O. D. of 208mm and the length of 200mm which is connected in series with a 200mm long insert coil constructed of multi filamentary $Nb_3Sn$. The insert coil was reacted after winding. Also, epoxy impregnation is accomplished at $Nb_3Sn$ coil using a low viscosity crack resistant epoxy which is forced into the coil with a series of vacuum and over atmosphere pressure cycle.

  • The design of a 16 tesla/ 45mm bore superconducting magnet is presented. The system consists of an 8.2 tesla(at 4.2K) outer NbTi coil with a bore I.D. of 261mm, a winding O.D. of 453mm and the length of 430mm which is connected in series with a 5.6 tesla(at 4.2K) middle and a 4.7 tesla(at 4.2K) inner insert coil constructed of multifilamentary $Nb_{3}Sn$. The middle and inner insert coil will be reacted after winding. Also, epoxy impregnation will be accomplished at $Nb_{3}Sn$ coils using a low viscosity crack resistant epoxy which is forced into the coil with a series of vacuum and over atmosphere pressure cycle.

  • In the manufacturing of large scale composite structures, the cost-effective processing and the enhancement of structural performance are critical. One of the most effective ways for this purpose is to use stitched multiaxial warp knitted (MWK) perform in the resin transfer molding process. This study reports the effect of stitching on the mechanical properties of MWK composites, and the feasibility processing of the thick U-beam structure utilizing the stitched preforms. Permeability of the preform, viscosity and cure property of the epoxy resin have been measured. The results of resin flow analysis has been used in determining the gate/vent locations of the RTM mold. Cross-sectional observation of the channel beam prototype demonstrated that the resin impregnation was almost complete, except for some surrounding area of stitched yarns.

  • This study relates to a method for manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor using a functional polymer composition. The method comprises immersing the rolled aluminum electrolytic capacitor device in polyaniline solution with high electric conductivity to impregnate the device with polyaniline, drying the impregnated device in a drying oven which is maintained at constant temperature to fully remove the solvent, inserting the dried device to a capacitor aluminum can and then sealing with epoxy resin, to manufacture a solid electrolytic capacitor using a conducting polymer. As such, the impregnation can be performed well at not only normal temperature and pressure, but also high temperature and reduced pressure. The solid electrolytic capacitor has the advantages of high capacity, low impedance and low ESR, and also, low manufacturing cost, simple processes and high reliability.

  • The energy storage systems are being widely researched for the electric power. The operations running in a vacuum chamber mainly consists of a composite flywheel rotor, superconductor bearings, a motor/generator and its controller. Among composed the apparatus, the floating magnet bearing consists of the ring-type permanent magnets with epoxy resin impregnation for reinforcement and surface protection. In order to storage as much energy as possible, the flywheel is supposed to be rotated with very high speed. The magnetic field is analyzed by using the Maxwell 2D/3D for the simulations.

  • Processing parameters of filament winding were investigated by using design of experiment. To understand 4 main effects(fiber tension, impregnation pressure, processing rate, and temperature) and 3 interactions, $L_{27}(3^{13})$ orthogonal array table was adopted. The used materials were carbon fiber and epoxy resin. Split disk test and short-beam test, which are the general test methods for filament wound composite material, were selected as evaluation methods for a filament would part. The optimal processing parameters for the filament winding were easily found through the analysis of variance of the experimental results.

  • FREP(Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Panel), the products of our company, was widely made full use of a field of the reinforced concrete. In particular, the FREP used for repair and reinforcement of the subway and tunnel is required flame retardative property. In this study, flame retardative FREP using flame retardant of non-halogen system was fabricated by impregnation method. Flame retardative grade was the third grade. Tensile strength, flexural strength, and compressive strength was 1,384, 1,298, and $1,450kg/cm^2$, respectively.

탄성저장관을 활용한 에폭시 주입공법의 현장 적용성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Field Application of Epoxy Impregnation Method Using Elastic Storage Tube)

  • 본 연구는 기계주입 방식으로 간단히 재충전 할 수 있는 TPS 공법을 사용하여 실제 건설현장에 적용한 후 콘크리트 균열에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였는데, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 초음파 속도의 경우 TPS 공법을 사용하였을 시 주사기 공법에 비해 평균 약 36 mm/sec로 초음파가 빠른 속도로 통과하는 것을 알 수 있었고, 주입깊이의 경우 주사기 공법에서는 부분 충전되는 것을 확인하였으나 TPS 공법의 경우 강한 주입 압력으로 모든 배합에서 보수재가 100% 충전되는 우수한 경향을 나타내었다. 또한, 압축강도의 경우는 TPS 공법 사용 시 평균 16.8 % 증가하는 것으로 나타나 구조적으로 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 이상을 종합하면 주사기 공법에 비해 TPS 공법을 사용하였을 시 균열부위에 주입재가 밀실하게 충전되어 강도 증진으로 인한 품질 향상 및 확인창 설치로 인한 균열보수제의 거동이 확인 가능하다. 또한, TPS 공법 시공구간 532 m에 대하여 약 5일의 공사 기간이 단축됨에 따라 시공성이 우수하여 콘크리트 구조물에 균열 보수공법으로 사용성이 확대될 것으로 기대된다.
