환경영향평가시 도로소음 평가범위 설정에 대한 연구 (A Study for Assessment Scope Set-up of Road Noise in EIA)

  • This paper suggests the set-up plan of the assessment scope in road noise considering road characteristics with the prediction model of road noise. The RLS90 prediction model with some assumptions is used to establish the assessment scope of road noise. The main contents of the applied assumptions are smooth drive of cars, flat region, location of all noise sources in one lane, drive in design speed, and set-up of assessment scope according to traffic volume and car speed. The information of traffic volume to predict road noise is obtained by the distribution of small cars and full-sized cars in road. In this study, the total traffic volume in road is computed by adding the number of small cars to the conversion number of small cars, which means the number of small cars making the same noise as one full-sized car. The prediction result of road noise with the influence factor of traffic volume, car speed, distance between road and receiver is presented. The resultant assessment scope of road noise is obtained by combining road noise prediction data with the set-up standard of road noise assessment scope.

  • The construction noise has been considered as one of environment pollution and complaints about it have been increasing every year. In order to reduce construction machinery noise, the product noise labeling for construction machinery has been recommended since 1 February 1996 and in the near future the government will convert the recommended product noise labeling to the mandatory product noise labeling fir high noise construction machinery. Therefore, we investigated the noise and vibration level of 302 construction machines and the effect of noise reduction for the soundproof facilities in construction work sites to support the policy of the government. Additionally, we present the basic data that will be used for setting the standard of construction machinery noise and predicting the noise level near construction work sites in environmental impact assessment.

함정의 격실 소음도에 관한 통계적 조사 연구 (Statistical Investigation on Airborne Noise Levels of Navy Shipboard Compartments)

  • Airborne noise is one of the considerable environmental factors for navy ship personnel who should accomplish their tasks in restricted ship spaces against adverse health effect of noise. However, it is difficult to find studies on actual condition of airborne noise for navy ships. In this study, we measured airborne noise levels at 379 compartments of 33 Korean navy ships. Using the measured data, we presented mean values and their standard deviations of measured noise levels with factors of ship type, compartment category, and operation mode. Additionally, we evaluated the mean value and cumulative probability of airborne noise levels of compartments with those of the US navy ships. These results can be rationally used in making the proper airborne noise criteria of the navy ship for the future.

  • Vehicles are exhausting various environmental pollutions such as exhaust gas, noise, and so on. This study investigates only noise problems by vehicles, especially the vehicle exhaust noise. It is known that the exhaust noise among those is over 20% of vehicle noise when the vehicle is suddenly accelerated or normally accelerated. In this study, we mainly investigate the exhaust noise of vehicle so that we intend to show the measures to decrease the illegal tuning mufflers and reduce the exhaust noise problems. In the conclusion, we suggest the new appropriate standard to control the tuning mufflers and reduce the exhaust noise induced by vehicles.

Shot Noise Process 기반 강우-유출 모형을 이용한 유출 앙상블 멤버 생성 (Generation of runoff ensemble members using the shot noise process based rainfall-runoff model)

  • 본 연구에서는 shot noise process 기반 강우-유출 모형(이하 강우-유출 모형)을 이용하여 유출 앙상블 멤버를 생성하는 방법을 제안하였다. 아울러 제안된 방법을 적용하여 대림 2, 구로 1, 중동 빗물펌프장 등 3개 배수유역에 대한 유출 앙상블 멤버를 생성하고, 이를 관측 유출량과 비교해 보았다. 강우-유출 모형의 매개변수는 Kerby 공식, Kraven II 공식, Russel 공식 및 수정합리식의 개념을 이용하여 추정하였다. 강우-유출 모형 매개변수의 난수 발생을 위해서는 감마분포와 지수분포를 이용하였다. 특히, 감마분포의 경우에는 평균과 표준편차의 관계를 어떻게 설정하느냐에 따라 다양한 난수 발생이 가능함을 확인하였다. 생성된 유출 앙상블과 관측 유출량과의 비교 결과, 표준편차가 평균의 두 배인 감마 분포를 이용하여 만든 유출 앙상블이 관측 유출량을 가장 적절히 포괄함을 확인하였다.

  • The research is an objective which prevents a construction noise by developing prediction program on utility, helps comprehension of construction noise by case study. The program developed with Visual Basic of the Excel Logic.   • 1960년대 산업화 이후 기계화가 가속되어 산업발달에 많은 기여를 하였으나 고소음 작업장에서 발생하는 소음피해에 대한 대책은 거의 없는 실정이다. 특히 공장 및 작업장에서 발생하는 기계소음은 반복적으로 되풀이되어 충격적이며, 강한 소음으로 대부분의 현장 작업자들은 높은 불쾌감과 청력장애의 위험을 부담하고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 이 연구는 고소음 작업장에서 발생하는 작업기계 소음을 평가하기 위한 적정 평가어휘를 추출하고자 했으며, 이렇게 추출된 어휘는 작업 기계소음을 평가하기 위한 음향심리 실험 및 기계소음 규제기준 설정을 위한 유용한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

학교주변 소음실태 분석에 관한 연구 -원주지역 학교를 중심으로- (A Study of Analysis on the Noise Aspect of School District -A Case Study of Wonju City-)

  • In this study, noise analyses were performed toward ten school and one library-building adjacent to road. In particular, noise levels measured in the case-study city were compared to those from environmental noise standard as well as to encouraged noise level. In the analyses, the following conclusions are emphasized in order to make comfortable educational learning environment. 1) When windows were open, the measured noise level of 9 schools exceeded the encouraged noise level. In order to mitigate the exceeded level, it is necessary to plant trees or lawn and install soundproofing wall. 2) When windows were closed, the measured noise level of the most schools showed lower than that of encouraged level. For sound insulation, installing both double window and casement window are required. 3) Schoolhouse's vertical arrangement from the road in order to minimize the expected noise effect, and provision of green space by which visual hiding as well as psychological comfort are presumably achieved.

  • Prediction models currently being used for road traffic noise in apartment are equation of NIER, HW-NOISE of Korea Expressway Corporation, FHWA of United States, CRTN of United Kingdom, NMPB of France, ASJ RTN-Model 2003 of Japan and ISO 9613-1, 2 as a international standard. ISO 9613 species an engineering method for calculating the attenuation of sound during propagation outdoors in order to predict the levels of environmental noise at a distance from a variety of sources. This study, prior to investigation of every prediction methods listed above, aims to examine the model internationally standardized and to establish a reference for the prediction of road traffic noise in apartment.
