This study empirically investigated the relationships among external factors (i.e., the imitation, compulsory and normative pressures, and governmental regulation), proactive environmental strategy, the adoption of green-supply chain management (GSCM) techniques, green corporation with suppliers, environmental performance, and organizational performance. To empirically demonstrate the relationships, 78 sample firms' data were collected from Korean manufacturing firms that are listed on the Korean stock market. The results of this study showed that a proactive environmental strategy mainly and positively influences the adoption of GSCM, and the introduction of a proactive environmental strategy is significantly and positively affected by governmental regulation. It was also found that governmental regulation has an indirect impact on the adoption of GSCM through the introduction of a proactive environmental strategy. Thus, it is asserted that governmental regulation, in Korean manufacturing firms, is the unique external factor on the adoption of a proactive environmental strategy, which facilitates the use of GSCM techniques. According to the results, it was observed that GSCM positively influences the levels of green corporation, and both GSCM and green corporation have positive effects on the improvement of environmental performance. Hence, it is suggested that the implementation of GSCM inevitably brings high degrees of green collaboration with suppliers. Finally, it was found that environmental performance has a significant and positive impact on the organizational performance of a firm. This result implies that high degrees of environmental performance, which bring both the efficient usage of materials and energy and the elimination of wastes, can lead to the increase of organizational performance.

The relevance of the study implies the need to explain the main determinants of environmental policy, allowing countries to converge on a common working basis. The purpose of the research is to explore ways in which the environmental aspects of EU regions and territories can be shaped to apply to domestic environmental policy. A total of 997 representatives from the Ukrainian UTCs, who are involved in local environmental policy, participated in the survey. Results of the research. A hierarchy of regional environmental policy objectives has been identified. Three key principles of eco-policy development have been distinguished. The means of the innovative approach strategy implementation have been outlined (formation of the regional market of environmental services; organization of interaction between environmental agencies and market structures; establishment of environmental funds which finance environmental activities; implementation of the "collateral return" system; formation of a system of benefits and loans to enterprises that successfully implement the environmental policy). The means of the prognostic approach implementation strategy to the development of the region's environmental policy have been determined (the use of an orderly and successful long-term strategy of economic development of the region; obligatory consideration in the mechanisms strategy aimed at improvement of environmental management system of the region, interbranch impact of the projects implemented on the region's ecological situation; taking into consideration the economic and geographical peculiarities of the region, the necessary infrastructure, issues of the territorial location of the large enterprises in the region and their impact on the environment). The means of the traditional approach strategy implementation have been outlined (activity programs focused on solution of specific problems, rather than on the implementation of measures for environmental restoration and enhancement; nature conservation problems have interbranch, interdepartmental character due to unity of the region's ecosystem; tracking complexity of changing conditions (water basins, woodlands, air-mass transport), regional boundaries generally do not coincide with natural ecosystems boundaries). The practical significance of the study lies in providing recommendations for the implementation of certain aspects of Ukrainian UTC's environmental policy.

The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between firm's green marketing approach and firm's reputation improvement among customers. To investigate the object of the current study and provides adequate material to fill a gap in the literature, the current author collected abundant textual data from numerous extant literature. Because the author needed to augment about reliability and validity, textual data from trusted peer-reviewed sources was obtained from numerous databases. Based on a large body of literature, this study suggests that companies have to declare their stand based on their positioning to safeguard their reputation as an entity and that of its products and services. The five components of a company adopting a recognized environmental marketing strategy include product strategy, demand strategy, pricing strategy, distribution strategy, and labeling strategy Thus, firms' environmental marketing strategies have to be designed with the complete intent of transformation as a solution to enhance their reputation. The current study concludes that the comparison of environmental marketing strategies does not correctly help in ranking the concern in an effective way, and describe the exact details needed in each of the five categories for a company to carry its operations in a sustainable fashion.
The growing interest in nanotechnology has resulted in increasing concern and a number of published environmental and workplace measurements for assessing occupational exposure to engineered nanomaterials. However, the amount of previous exposure data remains limited. Furthermore the data available was collected with extensive variation in terms of exposure measurement strategy, which limits the ability to pool the data in the future. In response, this paper reviewed several pertinent issues related to exposure measurement strategy to suggest a harmonized measurement strategy which would make exposure data more useful in the future, e.g. correlation between exposure metrics, relationship between activity and exposure, task-based or shift-based assessment, background concentration, limitation of personal exposure monitoring and other determinants of exposure/modeling. An improved sampling strategy for nanomaterial exposure assessment should be considered in order to maximize the use of the data from various real time monitoring instruments.
This paper describes how industry has responded to the environmental challenge. Benefits include compliance with environmental legislation; genuine reductions to environmental impact; sustainable improvements to profitability in the face of increased competitive pressure. National and international Standards for environmental management offer security and direction for a company wishing to improve environmental performance and coupled with a waste minimisation strategy many financial and environmental benefits can be achieved. Introduction of new technical skills, techniques and worker understanding to aid motivation is an essential component of such a strategy. Monitoring and targeting has a key role to play in the establishment of improved environmental performance.
In this research, the target process was a modified type of a conventional aeration tank with four different influent feeding points and alternated aeration to obtain nitrogen removal. For more accurate switching of influent feeding, the process was operated under a designed control strategy based on monitoring of $NH_4-N$ and $NO_X-N$ concentrations in the tank. However, the strategy did have some limitations. For example, it was not sensitive to detecting the end of each reaction when losing the balance between nitrification and denitrification of each opposite part of biological tank. To overcome the limitations of the existing control strategy, a diagnosis-based control strategy was suggested in this research using the diagnosis results classified as normal (N), ammonia accumulation (AA) and nitrate accumulation (NA). Using the pre-designed rules for control actions, the aeration and volume of the aerated part of the reactor could be increased or decreased at a fixed mode time. In simulations of the suggested diagnosis-based control strategy, the $NH_4-N$ and $NO_X-N$ removal rates in the reactor were maintained at higher levels than those of the existing control strategy.
Recently, Kim and Mauborgne [40] has introduced the concept of blue ocean strategy that provides quantum leap in value innovation, thus creating new market space. This study, based on the blue ocean strategy concept, suggests blue ocean new product development strategy (BONPDS), and attempts to examine how much this BONPDS has impact on new product peformance, compared to existing new Product development strategy Perspectives (i.e., competitive strategy-based new product development strategy and resource-based new product development strategy) in an empirical way. The research result shows that the BONPDS has greater impact on new product performance than existing new product development strategies. In addition, it is revealed that such contingency variables as firm size and environmental dynamism have moderating effect on the relationship between the BONPDS and new product performance. The BONPDS is more effective in the small-sized firms than the large-sized ones, and its effect on new product performance is different according to environmental dynamism.
Beginning of the human ecology in 1920s, the efforts for applying the environmental values to a policy have been embodied by the enactments of international agreement and relevant laws. The government has been struggling to adopt the environmental values for the policy by enacting the relevant laws and establishing the environmental value evaluation information (environmental conservation value assessment map, eco-natural map, biotope map). In spite of the efforts to apply the environmental value assessment information for the habitat potential of wildlife, the application is being challenged by the discrepancy in methods and criteria. Thus this study intends to measure the potential of wildlife habitat and apply it to the spatial value classification for the application plan of wildlife habitat potential in policy. Maxent was used for the habitat potential and the land types were classified depending on the surface and land use pattern of cadastral map. As a result, the policy matrix including conservation strategy(CS), restoration strategy(RS), practical use strategy(PS) and development strategy(DS) has been deduced as CS $13.05km^2$(2.38%), RS $1.64km^2$(0.30%), PS $162.42km^2$(29.57%) and DS $8.56km^2$(1.56%). CS was emerged mostly on forest valleys and farmlands, and RS was appeared in the road area near the conservation strategy areas. Boryung downtown and Daecheon Beach were the center of DS, while the forest and farmlands were presented as PS. It is significant that this study suggest the new approaching method by comparing the wildlife habitat potential with the land type. Since this study evaluated the environmental value by one species of leopard cat (Prionailurusbengalensis) with Maxent model, it is necessary to apply the habitat potential measuring method for various target species as further research.
Today, as a globalization continues and international trading blocks are formed, world markets are intensely competitive and abound in product variety, volume, complexity and environment. An environmental management system comprises the environmental elements of the overall management system. The basic input to a management system is information from stake holders, the operational system and the environment, the outputs are decisions and informations. Specifically, green comsumer's needs and expectations are changing and diversifying, resulting in a changed global environment for industry. Due to these changes, many companies are striving to achieve the ISO 14000 environmental management system certification. In this paper, I will present the strategy of environmental management, system strategy and continue to build a unique environmental management system by analyzing companies that will be achieved the ISO 14000 certification. After companies establish an ISO 9000 quality system these companies should focus on improve toward their own quality systems and continue to build ISO 14000.
In this paper, we propose a method of cooperative control(T-cell modeling) and selection of group behavior strategy(B-cell modeling) based on immune system in distributed autonomous robotic system(DARS). Immune system is living body's self-protection and self-maintenance system. Thus these features can be applied to decision making of optimal swarm behavior in dynamically changing environment. For the purpose of applying immune system to DARS, a robot is regarded as a B cell, each environmental condition as an antigen, a behavior strategy as an antibody and control parameter as a T-call respectively. The executing process of proposed method is as follows. When the environmental condition changes, a robot selects an appropriate behavior strategy. And its behavior strategy is stimulated and suppressed by other robot using communication. Finally much stimulated strategy is adopted as a swarm behavior strategy. This control scheme is based of clonal selection and idiotopic network hypothesis. And it is used for decision making of optimal swarm strategy. By T-cell modeling, adaptation ability of robot is enhanced in dynamic environments.
