한국 디지털 전통색채이미지를 이용한 배색유형 개발 (A Development of Color Prototypes Based on Digital Color Image Analysis)

  • The purpose of this paper is to produce color harmony code based on color harmony prototype in terms of environmental color design. This paper proposes ways of categorizing more accurate color harmony prototype through digital image processing by the computer program called the Color Syntax. The method of analysis adopted in this paper is pixel based color image processing. The study suggests color harmony prototype which are categorized by a color harmony angles. These angles represented internal relations between colors. This study describes development processes of color harmony prototype which is a basis for creating color harmony codes. Development processes of color harmony schema consists of color analysis, color codes generation and color selection. Also, how to analyze color images and to chose suitable harmony color codes among various codes are main research issues. As a final result, 109 color harmony codes have been obtained. These code numbers are suggested through rotating 2 color pairs in a 360-degree arc in the same color harmony angles, the codes which is applicable to the color harmony schema previously developed. This color harmony codes will produce better color environment in a sense that it will help designers to maximally reduce their time consumption, and the results of their designs will also be related to the use of proper color for regional environments.

Modified harmony search and its application to cost minimization of RC columns

  • This paper presents a variant of the Harmony Search Algorithm (HS) and its application to discrete optimization. The main proposed modifications regarding original HS are related to stopping criterion and reinitialization of population, called Harmony Memory. In order to investigate the efficiency of the algorithm, it was applied for obtaining optimal sections of reinforced concrete columns subjected to uniaxial flexural compression. To minimize the cost of the section, the amount and diameters of the reinforcement bars and the dimensions of the columns cross sections were considered as design variables. The obtained results were compared to those generated by other optimization methods. Since, to the examples, Harmony Search reached the same results achieved by Simulated Annealing, some additional analysis are presented in order to compare these methods regarding success rate and number of iterations to reach the optimum.

경관계획 및 설계 기준에 관한 연구 - 건축물 높이와 산림스카이라인의 조화를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Criteria of Landscape Planning and Design - Focusing on the Harmony of Building-Heights and Mountain-Skyline -)

  • These days, one of the issues well discussed is the obstruction or screen of sight to mountain-skyline by buildings. So question is to which heights buildings should be constructed over mountain-skyline and then harmony can be realized between mountain-skyline and building-outline. Based on the mentioned above, this study intends to find out the proper projection- level of buildings over background mountain-skyline when considering the types of mountain-skyline, building-outline and building-layout. The results of this study are first, the proper projection-ratio of buildings over background mountain-skyline can be 0.1 because assessment values on harmony-level are more than 3.0 in almost cases, second, the building-outline influences on the assessment values of harmony-level when the types of mountain-skyline are formed left-high & right-low and right-high & left-low, third, building-layout doesn't influence on the assessment va lues of harmony-level, finally, statistically difference doesn't exist between expert group and non-expert group in the assessment values of harmony-level.

도시가로 경관에 있어 환경조형물의 시각적 조화성 분석 (An Analysis on the Visual Harmony of the Environmental Sculpture in Urban Streetscapes)

  • 본 연구는 환경조형물을 대상으로 도시환경의 질적 수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 기초 자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 환경조형물의 개념을 정립하고 도시가로경관에서의 환경조형물의 역할을 고찰하였다. 아울러 도시가로경관의 시각적 조화에 영향을 미치는 요소를 추출하여 시각적 만족도와의 관련성을 분석하였는데, 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 20개 경관사진의 시각적 만족도는 우선적으로 환경조형물 자체의 조형성 및 심미성이 높은 작품들이 좋은 평가를 받고 있었다. 주변 환경과의 조화 측면에서는 바닥면, 건물, 주변요소와의 어울림이 뛰어난 환경조형물이 높은 평가를 받았다. 또한, 전체적으로는 명료한 느낌을 주면서 시각적인 안정성을 주는 경관이 만족도가 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 경관의 만족도와 도시경관에 영향을 미치는 5개 변수의 관계 분석결과 형태조화도가 도시가로경관의 만족도에 영향을 주는 중요한 변수로 나타났다.

아파트 환경색채의 배색 조화 방법 -익산시를 중심으로- (The Methods of Harmony in Color Combination of Environmental Color for Apartment -Focused on Iksan City-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 도시경관의 이미지를 개선하기 위한 환경색채의 배색조화 방법을 제공하는 것이다. 연구 대상지역은 익산시 22개 아파트단지이며 이를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 자연색체계에 기초한 하드와 시빅의 배색모델을 준거의 틀로 사용하였다. 그리고 환경색채 지각과 색채미학에서 새롭게 제시된 다양한 이론들을 검토하였으며 환경 색채디자인에 적용될 수 있는 미학적 특성들을 제안하였다. 첫째, 색채조화 원리는 뉘앙스와 톤에 기초한다. 그러므로 뉘앙스와 관계된 명도와 채도의 조절이 배색에 중요하게 작용된다. 둘째, 색채지각에 있어 미적경험은 색채 속성들의 유사성과 차이성의 상호결합에 의한 효과로 정의되었다. 셋째, 색채조화이론은 더욱 통합적인 학제 간 연구를 통해 발전 될 수 있으며 이러한 경험적 자료는 환경색채디자인과 평가를 위한 기초적 정보가 될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Acoustic Species Identification of Korean Myotis Bats (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae)

  • We investigated structure and intensity of 267 echolocation calls that were collected from the five Korean Myotis species (M. nettereri, M. petax, M. ikonnikovi, M. macrodactylus and M. formosus). All the Myotis species produced typical FM call pattern with similar echolocation call shapes and outer shapes, producing steep, downward frequency-modulated calls. A pulse has two harmonies, which consist of the first harmony with wider bandwidth and the second harmony with narrower bandwidth. The PF of the first harmony is higher than that of the second harmony. The typical FM call structure, with two harmonies and wide bandwidth, might be highly related to fast flying and wide screening in the dense forests. In classification of the echolocation calls by DFA, most of calls from the five species could be well correctly classified. All calls of M. nettereri (100% of 17 calls), M. formosus (95.5% of 22 calls) and M. ikonnikovi (85.7% of 70 calls) could be well discriminated from those of the other species, whereas calls of M. petax and M. macrodactylus could be discriminated by 70.4% of 98 calls and 76.7% of 60 calls, respectively. Our results indicate that the five Korean Myotis species can be well identified by the echolocation calls with high correct classification by DFA.

대도시 옥의 환경조형물의 설치기준에 대한 우선순위 분석 (Analysis of the Priority Decision for Establishment Criteria of Environmental Sculptures in Urban Areas)

  • This research focused on the priotity decision for establishment sriteria on the effects which environmental sculptures in urban area. The analysis performed in this study used the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) that is recognized as a useful decision-making tool to select and evaluate alternatives through pairwise comparison in the context of hierarchical decision structure. The results obtained from the analysis drawn by collecting the professional opinions of 5 experts for environmental sculptures are as follows: 1. The orders of establish criteria priorities on environmental sculptures were harmony of environment> symbol> public> function. The harmony of environment was the most important priority because it showed the highest weight of criteria. 2. The alternative priorities of environmental sculptures were the meaning of work>setting place> social contribution> physical quality .The meaning of work showed the highest change in the weight of alternative. 3.The sensitivity analysis of environmental sculptures demonstrated that the rate of change in the alternative priorities of the public was stabilized although the criteria importance varied, while the harmony of environment, the symbol intimated and function of priorities has their rates of weight changed if the criteria priorities were high.

Echolocation Call Structure and Intensity of the Malaysian Myotis muricola (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae)

  • Echolocation call structure and intensity were measured from the Malaysian Myotis muricola, which were recorded from the hand-released bat. The Malaysian M. muricola produced typical FM call pattern of the genus Myotis, producing steep, downward frequency-modulated calls. The average PF of calls is $64.39{\pm}1.33(kHz)$. Discrete PF patterns of two types are found, which consist of 63.39 kHz and 66.15 kHz. The averages of SF and D are $126.07{\pm}3.37kHz$ and $2.14{\pm}0.29ms$, respectively. There are various IPI lengths with average of $42.97{\pm}12.68ms$. A pulse consists of two harmonies which consist of the first harmony with wider bandwidth and the second harmony with narrower bandwidth. The PF of the first harmony is higher than that of the second harmony. The typical FM call structure, with two harmonies and wide bandwidth, would be highly related to fast flying and wide screening in the dense forests.

최적화 기법 효율성 개선을 위한 Multi-layered Harmony Search Algorithm의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Applications of Multi-layered Harmony Search Algorithm for Improving Optimization Efficiency)

  • 최적화 분야에서 Harmony Search Algorithm (HSA)은 근래에 개발된 메타휴리스틱 최적화 알고리즘의 하나로, HSA가 개발된 이래 공학, 자연과학, 의약학 등 다양한 분야에서 많은 연구자들에 의해 활용되어왔다. 현재 최적화 대상 문제들의 복잡성이 날로 증가하고 있으며 이에 따라 기존 최적화 기법에 대한 효율을 개선하는 방법론 개발에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 HSA의 구조적 특성에 초점을 맞추어 해탐색 능력을 향상시키는 것을 목표로 하여 새로운 메타휴리스틱 최적화 알고리즘인 Multi-layered Harmony Search Algorithm (MLHSA)을 제안하였다. 개발된 MLHSA는 기존 HSA에 추가적으로 구조적인 특성을 부여하여 전역 탐색 및 지역 탐색 성능을 개선하였다. 또한, 제안된 기법의 효율성과 적용성을 검증하기 위해 이전 최적화 알고리즘 관련 문헌에서 다양한 알고리즘이 적용된 바 있는 수학적 최적해 탐색 문제와 상수도 관망의 최적 관경 설계에 MLHSA를 통한 최적화를 수행하였다. 적용 결과 본 연구에서 개발된 MLHSA는 기존 알고리즘을 효과적으로 대체할 수 있는 최적화 기법임을 확인할 수 있었다.
