친환경 자전거도로를 위한 롤러 다짐 콘크리트 포장의 기초물성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Properties of Roller Compacted Concrete Pavement for Environmental Friendly Bike Road)

  • 에너지 절약과 $CO_2$발생량의 절감을 위해 자전거의 이용을 적극 장려하고 있다. 이를 위해 다량의 신설 자전거 도로 건설 계획을 추진 중에 있다. 현재 국내에서 신설 자전거도로 건설을 위해 아스팔트포장 및 콘크리트 포장을 비롯하여, 반강성포장, 유색포장, 흙포장 등이 적용되고 있다. 하지만 이들 포장형식은 자전거도로의 요구 성능에 비하여 시공비용이 높다. 본 연구에서는 경제적이고 친환경적이며 내구성을 확보한 자전거도로포장으로써 롤러 다짐 콘크리트의 최적 다짐율과 배합비를 기초물성시험을 통해 검토하였다. 도출된 배합비에 대한 동결융해와 제설제 저항성 시험을 통해 환경저항성을 검토하였다. 추가적으로 경제성 및 $CO_2$발생량을 일반콘크리트포장과 비교를 통해 평가했다.

Thermo-mechanical analysis of road structures used in the on-line electric vehicle system

  • On-line electric vehicle (OLEV) is a new eco-friendly transportation system that collects electricity from a power cable buried beneath the road surface, allowing the system to resolve various problems associated with batteries in electric vehicles. This paper presents a finite element (FE) based thermo-mechanical analysis of precast concrete structures that are utilized in the OLEV system. An experimental study is also conducted to identify materials used for a joint filler, and the observed experimental results are applied to the FE analysis. Traffic loading and boundary conditions are modeled in accordance with the related standards and environmental characteristics of a road system. A series of structural analyses concerning various test scenarios are conducted to investigate the sensitivity of design parameters and to evaluate the structural performance of the road system.

국도건설공사 도로분야의 공종별 환경부하량 특성분석 (Analysis of Environment Emission Characteristics Each Construction Type for Road Field)

  • 최근 기후변화에 대응하기 위해 새롭게 체결된 파리협정에 따라 우리나라는 2030년까지 기준대비 37%의 탄소배출량 감축목표를 제시하였다. 이를 위해 28개 산업분류에서 3번째로 많은 이산화탄소를 배출하는 건설산업에서 보다 적극적인 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 완공된 국도건설사례들 중 터널과 교량을 제외한 도로분야만을 이용하여 전과정평가(LCA)를 실시하여 환경부하량을 산출 하였다. 산출된 환경부 하량을 기반으로 대공종의 대표공종을 선정한 결과 토공, 배수공, 포장공이 전체의 84%를 차지하였으며, 세부공종별 대표공종을 선정하여 각 세부공종별 환경부하량 특성을 분석하였다. 국도건설공사 시 환경부하량 공종별 배출특성을 이용한다면 환경부하량을 기반으로 하는 친환경적인 국도건설공사 의사결정에 도움이 될 것이다.

  • Global warming has become one of the most important social responsibilities. After Kyoto protocol for greenhouse gas reduction by climatic change convention came into effect, developed countries are presenting various policies to reduce greenhouse gas that is produced in transport field. One of those policies is modal shift that change from road freight to sea, inland waterway and railway transportation that is eco-friendly. Because increase of road freight brings about road congestion and accident, logistics cost, air pollution and green house gases. Railways are superior to all other modes of transport in mass transportability, high speed, timeliness, safety and environmental-friendliness, but the railway industry has been pushed behind in competition. In developed country's government actively promoted relevant legislation, policies, and countermeasures known as modal shift policies to shift freight transport from road to large volume mode such as railway and ship. In this paper, we discuss the current situation in modal shift, compare it with cases in other countries EU and Japan, identify problems in Korea, and propose the following ways to enhance competitiveness of rail freight.

친환경 제설제인 CMO의 성능평가 분석 (Deicing Performance of Environment-friendly Deicing Agents)

  • 겨울철 원활한 제설작업은 겨울철 도로운영 및 관리에 중요한 공정이다. 현재 우리나라에서는 염화칼슘을 제설제로 가장 많이 쓰고 있고, 성능은 우수하지만 환경문제와 부식으로 인한 도로주변의 콘크리트 구조물의 내구성을 저하시키는 원인이 되고 있어 심각한 문제가 되고 있다. 한편 유기성 폐기물을 이용하여 환경친화 제설제인 Ca, Mg와 유기산(초산, 프로피온산)의 반응물인 유기산염 (CMO, Calcium magnesium salt of organic acids)으로 구성된 제설제의 경우 자원 재활용으로 인한 생산 단가를 낮출 수 있고 환경문제와 구조물의 내구성저하를 해결할 수 있다는 연구들이 수행된 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 실험실에서 화학조성에 의해 샘플로 제조된 환경친화 제설제인 유기산염(CMO의 일종)과 미국에서 개발한 CMA, 기존 제설제에 대해 제설에 필요한 기초물성에 대한 실험과 성능 실험을 통해 융빙성능을 비교 분석하였고 콘크리트 표면의 중량 손실량 실험을 통하여 구조물의 내구성에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 결과 분석을 통해 CMO의 융빙성능은 기존 제설제인 염화칼슘에 비해 60$\sim$90% 정도의 효과를 보였다. 중량손실효과는 미미하여 구조물의 내구성에 영향을 거의 미치지 않음을 알 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study on the construction of roadbed with environmental friendly soil amendment agent. The special amendment agent used in this study is mainly composed of inorganic metal salts such as sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride,, thus is friendly to the environment, and has a function of soil-cement-agent solidification. Various components of this agent weaken the negative function of humic acid and decompose humic acid itself. Then, the calcium cation of the cement can now be made contact directly to the soil surface. The project of local road demonstration of roadbed construction with special soil treatment agent was peformed in Northeast Thailand on August 1999 by the sponsor of Highway Department of Thailand. A series of field experiments including unconfined compressive strength were carried out to investigate the physical and mechanical characteristics of solidified roadbed treated by this solidifying agent. The results of this research showed that the roadbed using poor soil could be efficiently constructed by treatment of this amendment agent.

주민참여를 통한 도시복개하천의 환경친화적 복원방향설정에 관한 연구 - 과천 양재천 복개하천 복원사업을 사례로 - (A Study on Establishment of the Directions for Environmentally-friendly Restoration of Underground Stream by Citizen Participation - In the Case of the Yangjae Underground Stream Restoration Project -)

  • The purpose of this study is to establish future directions of environmentally-friendly restoration of Yangjae underground stream and reflect various opinions of inhabitant in the plan and design process. The opinions from the citizens include the economic and environmental suitability of the restoration projects and preference for the future directions of restoration. The citizens are favorable to removing the existing parking lot and want to have jogging course, walking path and bike road in the stream. Different opinions and resulted in preferred facilities and diminishing existing park along the stream depending on the restoration influencing zone. As a result, citizens agree in restoration but they have different opinions about the feasibility of new facilities, streams restoration and central park reduction locally. It is desirable to reflect the opinions of citizens in the process of plan and design of restoration project.

  • IPCC reported that 17% of the global GHGs emission is from transport sector. Road transport sector contributes to 70% of transport sector's GHGs emission. Nowadays, Climate change is a global issue and railway transport is marked as an environmental friendly transport mode. For decreasing the GHGs emission of road transport sector which occupies almost of transport sector's GHGs emission, railway transport is emphasized as a environment friendly alternative transport. In this paper, For the promotion of railway transport's role about climate change, I indicated the direction of South Korea's railway transport policy by analyzing some countries' modal shifts and railway transport's climate change policy.

교통시설 상호연관성 분석방법론 개발 (Development of the Analysis Methodology for Interrelationship between Transportation Facilities)

  • PURPOSES : Lots of criticism such as over/duplication investment, inconsistency of the policies among local governments and national plans etc. has been aroused due to the policy of supply-driven construction for transportation facilities. Recently, according to the environmental-friendly transportation policy, the investment of railroad has been expanded gradually, however the duplication with existing road facility makes it difficult to construct railroad. Thus it is necessary to evaluate the interrelationship between new project and existing facilities in the planning stage. However the method and the criteria for analyzing the duplication and over-investment of projects are not established in the manual, thus the feasibility of these projects are carried out from the economic point of view. METHODS: First, It reviewed about interrelationship criteria(domestic, overseas) and proposed implications and this study directions. Next, It developed the methods of evaluating independency, competitiveness and complementarity. RESULTS : In this study, the methods of evaluating independency, competitiveness and complementarity etc. are suggested to analyze the interrelationship between transportation facilities. The case study was carried out to examine the applicability of the methods. CONCLUSIONS: The methods raise rationality of decision-making compared to existing one. In the future, these methods are introduced into the manual of pre-feasibility study and feasibility study, more efficient decision-making and investment are expected.

GIS를 활용한 행정동별 천식환자 분포특성의 시각화: 대구시의 사례 연구 (Visualization of Asthmatic Distribution Patterns in accordance with Administrative Dong Using GIS: a Case Study of Daegu)

  • The authors argue that the current Government Information System for asthmatics appears to be non-user friendly due to lack of the cartographic representation for the text based statistical data. Acknowledging these constraints, an operational, user-friendly map for asthmatic prevalence has been generated by combining existing statistical data with the administrative Dong boundary map under GIS environment. The Geographical User Interface, in particular, were ideally suited to deriving the major distribution patterns that more asthmatic prevalence tends to be occurred on conventional commercial district and industrial complex. A visual map using spatial modelling technology were generated to show the fact that some degree of increasing or decreasing trends of asthmatic prevalence already exists in the experimental sites. It could be used as an evidence to restrict initiation of development activities causing negative influence to asthma such as road construction. The result of this study would play a crucial role in improving the quality of environmental health information service if it is operationally introduced into the Government since the highly user-friendly interface provides a completely new means for disseminating information for asthmatics in a visual and interactive manner to the general public.
