MSC as a payload of KOMPSAT-2 is an optical telescope for earth imaging on a sun-synchronous orbit. The MSC is a Ritchey-Chretien type telescope composed of hyperbolic primary and secondary mirrors with focal correcting lenses. Their relative positions should be kept aligned during imaging operation. However, the MSC is exposed to adverse thermal environment on orbit which can have some impacts on optical performance as well as structural endurance. Solar incidence can cause non-uniform temperature rise on the tube which entails unfavorable thermal distortion. Three options were proposed, which were internal shield, external mechanical shield and spacecraft maneuvering. After the trade-off studies, internal sun shield was selected as a realistic and optimal solution to minimize the effect of the solar radiation. In this paper, pros and cons are explained for the three possible choices and a design of the internal shield is discussed.

With respect to this change, Korea Power Industry needs to find new technology solutions for the smarter operation, higher efficiency and lower carbon consuming power system based on mid-long term plan.

In this paper, we propose an optimal thresholding method for the voxel coloring in the reconstruction of a 3D shape. Our purposed method is a new approach to resolve the trade-off error of the threshold value on determining the photo-consistency in the conventional method. Optimal thresholding value is decided to compare the surface voxel of photo-consistency with inside voxel on the optic ray of the center camera. As iterating the process of the voxels, the threshold value is approached to the optimal value for the individual surface voxel. And also, graph cut method is reduced to the surface noise on eliminating neighboring voxel. To verify the proposed algorithm, we simulated in the virtual and real environment. It is advantaged to speed up and accuracy of a 3D face reconstruction by applying the methods of optimal threshold and graph cut as compare with conventional algorithms.

Electronic commerce has already existed for over 20 years. In sectors such as retail and automotive, electronic data interchange(EDI) for application-to-application interaction is being used regularly. For defence and heavy manufacturing, electronic commerce life-cycle management concepts have been developed that aim to integrate information across larger parts of the value chain, from design to maintenance, such as CALS(Computer Assisted Life-cycle Support or Computer Aided Logistics Support). Bolero's mission is to provide guaranteed and secure delivery, in electronic form, of trade documentation, globally, based on a binding legal environment and common procedures. Bolero will also provide a platform for provision of neutral cross-industry services.

An efficient technique to trade off speed for resolution is the sigma-delta modulation (SDM). This paper proposes a new SDM architecture to improve conversion rates and SNR(Signal-to Noise Ratio) by using master clock and four divided clock. The charateristics of the proposed SDM are simulated in MATLAB environment. and optimizing the capacitor sizes is done by iterative processing. other analog characteristics are simulated using 0.65${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ n-well CMOS process, double poly and single metal. The result of simulation shows that more increasing the effective bits of internal ADC/DAC, bigger the improvement of SNR.

Under the competitive environment of shipping industry, the improvement of the quality of shipping service could be one of the most important factors to be considered in the recent shipping industry. However, there has been little study on the clear concept of the service quality in the shipping so far. The subject of this study is to define the concept of the service quality in the shipping by way of making investigation into the related precedent literatures studied. The quality of service is recognized in general as a degree of gap between the customer's expectation and the perception. Therefore the service quality of shipping could be measured by evaluating the gaps between shipper's expectation and performance of shipping service. If the determinants of the service quality in the shipping are proved, and the discrepancies of expectations and perception between the shipping company and the shipper could be clarified, such a result would be an useful help to establish marketing strategy.

This study deals sith some problems of foreign direct investment and seeks for the ways of activating foreign direct investment (hereafter F.D.I.) by analyzing the Korean economic structure that is faced with the neo-protectivism and nationalism of the advanced or foreign countries currently. During a transformational process in the transitional period of world trade environment, it is necessary for Korea not only to learn the higher technology for advanced countries, but also to apply techonology to their economic structure in order to enter into competition with the advanced countries. Based on the experiences and accomplishments from their investments, Korean enterprises should turn their business into F.D.I. and act appropriately in order to keep the balance between indoor and outdoor investment. In this paper, a newsynchronization technique applied to burst-mode communication is proposed. A synchronization technique is to estimate carrier frequency and phase offsets in a noisy channel environment. A fundamental problem for estimating the parameters(carrier phase and frequency offsets) in burst-mode transmission is that the ways of pursuing estimation accuracy and transmission efficiency are always trade-off. To solve this problem, a new carrier recovery technique is proposed to improve the transmission efficiency with reliable performance especially at low S/N. In the proposed technique, the synchronization parameters are first estimated based on a data-aided feed-forward estimation scheme. Then, a phase tracker using decision-directed DPLL estimates the phase offset for the data portion of the burst data. From simulation results, it shows fast synchronization with shorter preamble maintaining reasonable BER performance at low S/N.

Component-based software reuse has been generally regarded as a promising approach to improving software productivity and quality within software development. However, progress in component-based software reuse has been slower than expected. Much of the software reuse literature points to the lack of software components that can maximize users' benefits as the most important source of the slow progress. Considering that the underlying processes behind component-based software reuse are strikingly similar to commercial software marketing, this paper attempts to identify the aspects of software components that consumers value and to establish relationships between the identified aspects and consumer behavior in the software component market. More specifically, this paper focuses on the perceived subjective features of software components. This study was conducted in a web-based artificial market environment called "SofTrade."
