  • Manufacturing Message Specification(MMS) was sewed as an International Standard by International Standardization Organization(ISO). MMS is being accepted throughout the world as a solution to communications among multi vendor factory floor environments. This paper describes an implementation of MMS which operates on Application Layer of Open Systems Interconnection(OSI) 7 layer model. MMS was implemented on MSDOS in apersonal computer environment.

  • This study suggests a trial system for facility monitoring technology on ubiquitous environment. The trial system can be used for integrated various collection and sending data by bluetooth and wireless network from bridge. We used smart sensor and wireless network for it. Especially, we analyzed out all appliable technologies at monitoring part on ubiquitous environment and gave a standard spec to build the system. We wanted it as a guideline to apply ubiquitous in smart facility monitoring part.

  • In this paper, a model of cost evaluatino for computer software development is proposed . This model is designed to cope with various development environment since the development cost is directly dependent on the development environments. The model that satisfies the users request is turned out to be a function point model. For the future research , a model that contain new technique and new development environment and an imaginative model are desired . Also, in order to effective cost estimation a systematic research on structure of software development , establishment of standard development methodology, project management and technique are desired.

  • In a large scale parallel computation, failures of some nodes or communication links end up with waste of computing resources, Several fault-tolerant MPI libraries have been proposed so far, but the programs written by using such libraries have a portability problem since fault-tolerant features are not supported by the MPI standard yet, In this paper, we propose an application-level fault-tolerant linear system solver that uses the asynchronous iteration algorithm and the standard MPI functions only, which does not have a portability problem and is more efficient by adopting a simplified recovery mechanism.

  • This paper presents the system interface standard that are associated with additional devices like sensor nodes as well as fire monitoring panel, panic button and emergency call in city railroad environment. Existing fire monitoring panel, panic button and emergency call system is responsible for fire detection and alarm, emergency alarm and communication with the manager. Recently, researches that are associated with NVR-based intelligent integrated surveillance systems and existing alarm system are activated but most of the system is dedicated to it existing. In order to expand devices that is supported other monitoring function, separate device configuration or modification of integrated surveillance system are inevitable. In this study, interface standard between standard controller, integrated command center and each device that facilitate additional expansion of integrated surveillance system and avoid the extra cost is presented.

  • The train control system is a facility to ensure safe train operation, and its safety is the most important factor for system introduction. Therefore, in order to improve practical usability in the business, safety analysis and evaluation of train control system and train control related core technologies are needed. Korea Railroad Research Institute has carried out standard development of radio-based train control system as a government research and development project. In this paper, we present a system specification of ATP, a core part of train control system, for standard system of Korean radio-based train control system(KRTCS). The paper present a operation environment and primary ATP functions, and functional requirement specifications.

A Study on the Effect and Improvement Directions of KGBCC based on the Comparison of Green Residents Satisfaction (친환경 주거단지의 거주자 만족도 비교를 통한 친환경 건축물 인증제도 효과 및 개선방향 연구)

  • The KGBCC(Korean Green Building Certification Criteria), which is the assessment standard of green buildings, is not enough to reflect all the current demands of residents. Therefore, the comparative analysis between the certification score and the residents' satisfaction of a promotional green apartment, a awarded green apartment, and a certified green building apartment was carried out to derive improvements of the KGBCC. The residents of selected three apartments were surveyed through the assessment items of the KGBCC. According to the research, the certified green building apartment shows the highest certification score and residents' satisfaction overall, compared with other two apartments. Finally, the improvements of KGBCC were determined through the reason of the residents' dissatisfaction. The KGBCC that is improved by this study can be used for the new assessment standard of green buildings.

  • Wireless LANs based on the IEEE 802.11 standard are widely spread for use nowadays. Traffic which are conveyed over the WLANs change rapidly from normal data such as Email and Web pages, to multimedia data of high resolution video and voice. To meet QoS (Quality of Service) required by these multimedia traffic, the IEEE 802 committee recently has developed a new standard, IEEE 802.11e. Current IEEE 802.11e, however, is not sufficient to support service differentiations and network performance enhancements, under a varying network environment experiencing as varying channel characteristics and high network loads. Recently, there have been much research to complement this deficiency of 802.11e standard. This paper surveys these research efforts.

  • In the situation where there should be a gap between the design environments of 2D drawing and 3D BIM modeling, it is unavoidable aspect to face confusion caused by parallel usage of both technologies unless the project delivery systems are entirely upgraded to 3D. Therefore, it is critical to make efforts to minimize this confusion. Meanwhile, detailed drawings have very important roles in the construction process because they do not only concretely express construction methods for a given design plan but also provide basis for quantity takeoff and construction cost estimation etc. This paper suggests a plan to standardize detailed information based on BIM standard framework in order to make BIM realize the information. In the short term, this plan provides improved environment where both BIM and CAD technologies can be applied and, in the long term, it provides bases for BIM to replace CAD technology.
