  • This study attempts to examine and to analyze the characteristics of transparent materials and its methods to apply in space. the ability to see through a physical element, whether it is clear glass, sandblasted acrylic, or a delicate fabric, can have a dramatic and sensory effect on the overall perception of a space. The various range of Transparent materials and product in glass, plastic, fabric, and grid now gives us the potential to maximize the flow of light in our enclosed space. This research will explore how transparent, translucent, and semi-opaque elements can be used within the interior with full range of see-through materials. The transparent materials can be divided in two level - as structural elements and as stylish accessories. A glass partition or floor, metal mesh stairs can create divisions or link one space to another while maintaining effective levels of natural light. there is also various level of products from glass chair to basin. With the enthusiasm for using transparent materials, transparent materials will be more decorative and powerful application while still maximize the highest possible flow of light.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the component factors on images of good elementary teacher. 579 elementary teachers in Busan were sampled to be surveyed. The subjects answered open-ended questionnaire related to characteristics of good teacher. The number of items obtained from the questionnaire is 79. The exploratory factor analysis was applied to the data. As a result of exploratory factor analysis, the components of good teacher are classified into five factors : fairness, enthusiasm, commitment, warmth, self-management. All such factors might be related to the personality in common. It shows that teachers think the personality important as a characteristic of good teacher. On the basis of this result we offer a suggestion to the teacher education.

  • This paper describes the restructuring of power electronics and electric drives courses, sponsored by NSF, EPRI, NASA and the local utilities, which has significantly increased student enthusiasm, and the undergraduate enrollment in these courses at the University of Minnesota has tripled since 1997. The developed leaching approaches have been the subject of NSF-sponsored faculty workshops in 1994, 1997, 1998,2002, and 2003. In power electronics, the power-pole based building-block approach unifies analysis and control aspects of all converters. PSpice-based simulations aid in analysis and design, supported by a hardware laboratory. For electric drives, an integrative approach addressing all three aspects of electric drives - machines, power converters and control is being. used. Space vectors, introduced on a physical basis rather than purely mathematical ions, are used fur analysis of ac machines. This leads to a more physical understanding of machine operation and also makes it easier to address control aspects in the advanced course. The lecture materials are supported by a DSP-based laboratory.

  • At a time when mathematics is becoming more important in our everyday lives and more relevant in applications in industry and the emerging technologies, there are signs of a decrease in numbers of students and their interest in the subject. Teachers must be encouraged to take a new approach to generating enthusiasm amongst students by showing them that mathematics is an integral part of the future. To achieve this, opportunities for renewal of teachers' knowledge and updating of skills should be made available. In this paper, emphasis is placed on mathematics in the real world and how it can be used to develop the more general skills such as self-teaching and communication which are an essential part of preparation for entry into higher education or the workplace.

  • This paper develops the research model for the understanding of learner's usage intention in web based collaborative learning(WBCL) system. This model is based on the Davis' Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) and Social Interactivity Theory. Data is collected 225 University students from two different institutions. They were divided into 46 groups and asked to complete an online TOEIC preparation module using WBCL systems over 4 weeks. Data were collected at three points for each participant-before, 3 weeks after, and at the end of the online module. The result show that TAM based Belief factors(Usefulness, Ease of use, Playfulenss) are important determinants of usage intention in WBCL systems. The study also found the external factors of the extended TAM to be subjective norm, leader's enthusiasm in WBCL context.

  • Purpose: This descriptive study aimed to identify the relationships among grit, job satisfaction, and the intention to stay of clinical nurses in Korea. Method: Data collected from a total of 239 experienced nurses in four general hospitals of the Jeolla province. The t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's Correlation Coefficient were performed using the IBM SPSS/WIN 21. Results: There were positive correlations between the grit and job satisfaction of the nurses (r=.31, p<.001), between their grit and intention to stay (r=.25, p<.001), and between their job satisfaction and intention to stay (r=.49, p<.001). Conclusion: Developing and adapting educational programs to enhance the grit enthusiasm, and patience can contribute to increasing the intention to stay of nurses in hospitals.

  • The study is an analysis of the responses to a questionare by members of various fishing communities in Korea regarding their opinion about the vocational value of the fishing industry and factors which are acting as obstacles to entrance into the Fisheries High Schools, etc. Subjects were 2,000 : fishermen, members of the fishermen's cooperative society, and teachers and students of the Fisheries High Schools. Results indicated as follows: (a) It would be desirable to have fisheries courses incorperated in middle schools on islands and in fishing villages to improve enthusiasm of middle school students for entrance into Fisheries High Schools. (b) It is desirable that the principal or the administrator of middle schools in fishing villages and on islands should be a person who has majored in fisheries field, and so would support fisheries courses in the middle schools. (c) The level of peoples' appreciation of the fishing industry should be enhanced.

  • The Korean Geriatrics Society was founded on October 3, 1968. Over the 50 years since then, the Society has incessantly strived to stay attuned to the aging society and to achieve an increasingly greater research impact in the field of gerontology and geriatric medicine. The Society has passed through periods of preparation for a leap forward, followed by rapid growth, expansion, and maturity. As a result, the Society has gained a firm foothold at home and abroad as a leading research society for both qualitative and quantitative achievements in geriatric medicine. At this juncture, with an ultra-aging society being just around the corner, we are celebrating its 50th anniversary and anticipating our second half-century with great enthusiasm about our mission and role as a leading geriatric research organization.

  • The article is a critical examination of the political developments in Armenia since the 'Velvet Revolution' of April-May 2018, when, on the wave of massive protests against the ruling regime, new young forces came to power raising amongst broad segments of population enormous enthusiasm and hopes about radical reforms that would lead to profound transformations in the political and socio-economic spheres. It contains a thorough analysis of underlying political processes in the country in an attempt to answer a number of topical questions, so important to get a deeper understanding of the situation in Armenia and in the South Caucasus region. Based on the analysis of the new authorities' performance against the acknowledged benchmarks and standards of democracy consolidation, such as: separation of powers, independence of the judiciary, good governance, transitional justice the author comes to the conclusion that they failed to achieve any breakthrough in the above-mentioned fields. On the contrary, as demonstrated by concrete examples, what occurred in Armenia was not a revolution but a mere regime change under the leadership of Prime Minister Pashinyan, who gradually has concentrated in his hands executive, legislative, and quasi-totality of the judicial branch of power.

  • RFID enabled credit cards are becoming increasingly popular as contactless credit cards. We envision a future where RFID credit cards will be used for online shopping. RFID system has tremendous potential to render electronic payments more secure than normal credit cards. The word RFID enabled credit cards may bring in mixed passion, enthusiasm and perhaps even rage! This is partly paranoia and partly reality. The reality is that an intruder can read RFID cards without the user even noticing it. This brings in a zone of discomfort and leads to paranoia. Certain interactivity should exist to bring back this comfort to the user. This paper tries to make an effort in that direction. In this paper we propose mobile phone based architecture for secured electronic payments using RFID credit cards.
