This research investigates several essential topics of m-business by conducting a questionnaire to the professional experts. The topics include the market structure and business, the demand for available m-business service and its development, the market size and market growth factors, the service fee, the core technologies and technology development prediction. This paper contributes to the development of m-business in that it provides criteria and policies for more active and efficient treatment of m-business market under IMT2000 environment and also offers guides and plans of m-business activation for both government and enterprise.

Presented is a Genetic Algorithm(GA) for dynamic partitioning an ATM LANE(LAN Emulation) network. LANE proves to be one of the best solutions to provide guaranteed Quality of Service(QoS) for mid-size campus or enterprise networks with a little modification of legacy LAN facilities. However, there are few researches on the efficient LANE network operations to deal with scalability issues arising from broadcast traffic delivery. To cope with this scalability issue, proposed is a decision model named LANE Partitioning Problem(LPP) which aims at partitioning the entire LANE network into multiple Emulated LANs(ELANs), each of which works as an independent virtual LAN.

SOAP(Simple Object Access Protocol) that is a late protocol for exchange of information with Web Services that is useful for implementing common functions in especially a large size business area, is a protocol that is a lightweight, XML-based protocol over HTTP for exchange to information in decentralized, distributed environments. In this paper, we implement SOAP-based Web Services that can use with a slip database, for common slip processing functions in enterprise accounts in order to enhance the transparency of transactions by slip processing system. The result of this paper will contribute to increasing the productivity of enterprises through enhancing the standardization of slip data, reusability of functions, convenience of access, and efficiency of implementing applications.

As the technology has improved and demands of customers have varied, a lot of products are getting diverse and intricate. Consequently, the enterprise that produce products have to simultaneously consider the various variables for the very products. There are some scheme, such as Multivariate control chart and Demerit control chart, designed to simultaneously monitor the variables in the process. In this paper, we present an effective method for process control using the Demerit-CUSUM control chart in the process where nonconforming units or nonconformities are occured by various types. In addition, we show interpretation method for abnormal signal in order to quickly detect the assignable causes as Demerit-CUSUM control chart signals abnormality. we compare performance of Demerit control chart and Demerit-CUSUM control chart using example again used in the existing studies, and present result of performance accoriding to changing sample size and parameter.

This paper proposes an object-oriented software development guidance and an evaluation index for the productivity related to EJB(Enterprise JavaBeans). EJB is a known successful standard model for LSDO(Large Size Distributed Object). However, there is no comparison research about the performance of EJB 2.0 and 3.0 with same identical platform. Quantitative analysis is supported as a part of LOC(Line Of Code) analysis. There is a limit to develop the updated software with no the specific evaluating index for the productivity of software. This work proposes an specific index for evaluating the productivity of new version EJB on a platform. Base on the result, the specific guidance of the developing software is obtained.

The rapid expansion of regionalism has resulted in the creation of blocs of the global economy, so that those countries not belonging to one or more blocs can be discriminated. The purpose of this paper is to examine the competition policy theoretically, international background with issues, and discussion trend of global enterprise. By doing them, this paper suggests the responsive plan, future prospects, and policy directions for the competition policy by distribution service. There is not a statistically significant relationship between international diversification strategy and firm performance. However, we observed some tendency that the larger the firm size, the higher the firm performance, assuming the degree of international diversification or multinationality to be constant. However, the export productivity increase after 1~2 years, and there exits a clear evidence that the innovation investment increases a firm's export competitiveness as time goes on.

In this paper, we wish to develop suitable TPM Model (C-TPM) in Korea's medium and small enterprises. TPM technique was informed well and there are a lot of success instances but there was problem that is not fitness in medium and small enterprises. In this study, we propose C-TPM model in medium and small enterprises by examining TPM success example variously. In this paper, we study the relationship between factors influencing the strategic use of IT and business performance by conducting a survey of small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs). From the results of our survey we came to several conclusions which are presented here. First, IT investment has a significant impact on the strategic use of IT, and the strategic use of IT has a significant impact on business performance. Second, SME investment in IT and strategic use of IT are influenced by both the intensity of competition in the market environment and partnership with other organizations. Third, the support from the management group in SMEs is a core factor for IT investment and strategic use of IT. Finally, for SMEs to use IT strategically and successfully, it is necessary to combine members' participation with a flexible organizational structure and culture.

In this paper, we report a case study of applying puzzle solving as a programming practice. There are many students, who have attended computer programming language courses, have had difficulties in accomplishing the course assignments. It is because just following and citing the programming language course materials is not sufficient for constructing computer programs. Many professional developers have stated that computer programming for small problems is an art of puzzle solving, where developing enterprise-size computer programming projects involves architectural insights which are already dealt in software engineering literatures. Following those backgrounds, we have explored the applicability of puzzle solving in a C++ object oriented programming course and have reported the results. The experimental results show that puzzle solving is effective to the students who are interested in computer programming and have at least beginner-level knowledge and expertise, but it turned out that puzzle solving assignments still does not draw much attention of the students who are not seriously interested in computer programming.
