고속철도 터널 입구후드에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Study on High-Speed railway Tunnel Entrance Hood)

  • High-speed railway trains entering and leaving tunnels generate finite amplitude pressure wave which propagate back and forth along the tunnels, reflecting at the open ends of the tunnels and at other discontinuities such as ventilation shafts and the train themselves. In present day railways, the magnitudes of the pressure waves are much too small to cause structual damage, but they are a serious potential source of aural discomport for passengers on unsealed trains. Almost always do the pressure waves propagating along the tunnels lead to a hazardous impulse noise near the exit portal of the tunnel. In order to alleviate such undesirable phenomena, some control strategies have been applied to the compression wave propagating inside the tunnel. The objective of the current work is to investigate the effect of tunnel entrance hoods on the entry compression wave at the vicinity of the tunnel entrance. Three types of entrance hoods were tested by the numerical method using the characteristics of method for a wide range of train speeds. The results show that the maximum pressure gradient of compression wave can be considerably reduced by the tunnel entrance hood. Desirable hood shape for reduction of the pressure transients and impulse noise was found to be of abrupt type hood with its cross-sectional area 2.5times the tunnel area.

Experimental Results of Ship's Maneuvering Test Using GPS

  • The Kinematic GPS is well known to provide a quite good accuracy of positioning within an level. Although kinematic GPS assures high precision measurement on the basis of an appreciable distance between a reference station and an observational point, it has measurable distance restriction within 20 km from a reference station on land. Therefore, it is necessary to make out a simple and low-cost method to obtain accurate positioning information without distance restriction In this paper, the velocity integration method to get the precise velocity information of a ship is explained. The experimental results of Zig-zag maneuver and Williamson turn as the ship's maneuvering test, and other experimental results of ship's movement during leaving and entering the port with low speed were shown. From the experimental results, ship's course, speed and position are compared with those obtained by kinematic-GPS, velocity integration method and dead reckoning position using Gyro-compass and Doppler-log.

  • Kinematic GPS provides quite good accuracy of position in cm level. 해상풍력발전단지의 해상변전소 변압기 적정 용량에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Adequate Capacity of Substation Transformer for Offshore Wind Farm)

  • This study suggests the methodology to decide the number and adequate capacity of substation transformer in a large-scale offshore wind farm (OWF). The recent trend in transformer capacity of offshore substation is analyzed in many European offshore wind farm sites prior to entering the studies. In order to carry out the economic evaluation for the transformer capacity we present the cost models which consist of investment, operation, and expected energy not supplied (EENS) cost as well as the probabilistic wind power model of wind energy that combines the wind speed with wind turbine output characteristics for a exact calculation of energy loss cost. Economic assessment includes sensitivity analysis of parameters which could impact the 400-MW OWF: average wind speed, availability, discount rate, energy cost, and life-cycle.

XGBoost를 이용한 교통노드 및 교통링크 기반의 교통사고 예측모델 개발 (Development of Traffic Accident Prediction Model Based on Traffic Node and Link Using XGBoost)

  • This study intends to present a traffic node-based and link-based accident prediction models using XGBoost which is very excellent in performance among machine learning models, and to develop those models with sustainability and scalability. Also, we intend to present those models which predict the number of annual traffic accidents based on road types, weather conditions, and traffic information using XGBoost. To this end, data sets were constructed by collecting and preprocessing traffic accident information, road information, weather information, and traffic information. The SHAP method was used to identify the variables affecting the number of traffic accidents. The five main variables of the traffic node-based accident prediction model were snow cover, precipitation, the number of entering lanes and connected links, and slow speed. Otherwise, those of the traffic link-based accident prediction model were snow cover, precipitation, the number of lanes, road length, and slow speed. As the evaluation results of those models, the RMSE values of those models were each 0.2035 and 0.2107. In this study, only data from Sejong City were used to our models, but ours can be applied to all regions where traffic nodes and links are constructed. Therefore, our prediction models can be extended to a wider range.

  • 철도에서 신호 장치는 지상신호 장치에서 차상신호 장치로 전환되고 있다. 기관사들은 현재까지의 지상신호 장치나 과거의 차상신호 장치의 경우 차내 신호에 현재속도보다 낮은 속도가 현시되거나 운행선로의 속도가 낮아질 경우 선로변 표지를 기준으로 제동제어 시점을 결정하였다. 그러나 최근 도입된 차상신호 시스템에서는 선로변 표지를 참고하지 못하고 차상신호 현시 값에 의해, 적정 제동시점을 찾기 어려웠다. 본 논문에서는 최근에 철도에서 사용되어지는 차상신호 시스템에서 기관사들의 제동제어 시점 및 방법을 연구하여 신호 system의 제동제어 감속도를 simulation하여 최적 제동제어 시점을 설정하고 그 점을 중심으로 가우시안 분포(Gaussian Distribution)를 이용하여 제동거리의 오차 범위가 안전거리 내에 있음을 증명하고 평가하였다.

부산 북항에서의 선박 배출물질 현황과 선속제한에 의한 배출량 감소 연구 (Current Status of Ship Emissions and Reduction of Emissions According to RSZ in the Busan North Port)

  • 최근 지구 환경문제에 대한 논의가 활발해지면서 국제 운송의 큰 부분을 차지하고 있는 해상운송에서도 배출물질 규제를 위한 정책이 시행되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 선속 제한에 의한 배출량의 감축 효과를 검토하기 위하여 기관 부하율을 적용하여 선박의 배출물질을 수치계산하였다. 2017년 1월 1일부터 12월 31일까지 부산 북항의 입출항 선박을 대상으로 선속제한구역 20마일권역을 설정하고 해당 구간에서의 선종별, 선속별로 배출량을 계산하고 분석하였다. 항행, 접 이안, 정박 중일 때를 모두 포함하여 가장 많은 배출물질을 발생시키는 선박은 컨테이너선 76.1 %, 일반화물선 7.2 %, 여객선 6.8 %의 순으로 계산되었다. 항행 및 접 이안 모드일 때는 일반화물선이 여객선보다 배출물질이 적었지만 정박 모드일 때는 여객선보다 많았다. 총 배출물질은 질소산화물, 황산화물, 입자상물질, 휘발성유기화합물의 순으로 각각 49.4 %, 45 %, 4 % 1.6 %로 구성되었다. 선속 제한이 없는 경우와 선박 속도를 12노트, 10노트, 8노트로 제한시킬 때 배출물질을 비교하면 속도 12노트 제한의 경우 질소산화물 39 %, 휘발성유기화합물 40 %, 입자상물질 42 %, 황산화물 38 %의 감소효과가 있고, 10노트 제한일 때 질소산화물 52 %, 휘발성유기화합물 54 %, 황산화물 56 %, SOx 50 %의 감소효과가 있으며, 8노트 제한일 때 질소산화물 62 %, 휘발성유기화합물 64 %, 입자상물질 67%, 황산화물 59 %의 감소효과가 있었다. 이처럼 선박의 속도 감소에 따라 배출물질 역시 크게 감소되는 연구결과를 확인할 수 있었으며, 향후 항만 배출물질 감소를 위해 선박의 속도를 제한하는 방안을 적극적으로 고려할 필요가 있다.

성별에 따른 주·야간 원형교차로 사고모형 (Circular Intersection Accident Models of Day and Nighttime by Gender)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to develop models of accidents occurring at circular intersections related to the time of day and night and driver gender, and to provide countermeasures for safer circular intersections. METHODS : Seventy intersections built before 2008 were surveyed for inclusion in the modeling. Traffic accident data from 2008 to 2014 were collected from the TAAS data set of the Road Traffic Authority. Sixteen variables explaining the accidents including geometry and traffic volume were selected from the literature and seven multiple linear regression models were developed using SPSS 20.0. RESULTS : First, the null hypotheses, that the number of traffic accidents are not related to driver gender or time of day, were rejected at a 5% level of significance. Second, seven statistically significant accident models with $R^2$ value of 0.643-0.890 were developed. Third, in daytime models by gender, when the right-turn-only lane was selected as the common variable, the number of lanes, presence of driveways and speed humps, diagrammatic exit destination sign, and total entering traffic volume were evaluated as specific variables. Finally, in nighttime models by gender, when the diagrammatic exit destination sign was selected as the common variable, total entering traffic volume, presence of right-turn-only lanes, number of circulatory road way lanes, and presence of splitter islands and driveways were identified as specific variables. CONCLUSIONS:This study developed seven accident models and analyzed the common and specific variables by time of day and gender. The results suggest approaches to providing countermeasures for safer circular intersections.

Cam의 CAD/CAM (CAD/CAM system for Cam)

  • Cam plays very important roles due to continuous requirement for the high-speed and automation of the machinery. A large number of studies of cam curve were carried out by many researchers, and CNC milling and machining center for manufacturing cam have been widely used recently. The purpose of this study was to develop a CAD/CAM system for cam using QuickBasic language in 16-bit PC for application of cam design and manufacturing. Results obtained were as follows : 1. It was possible to input data by entering cam angle and its corresponding R, from 0 to 360 deg. of cam angle. The tediousness at entering data was minimized because of the same data format for both cylindrical cam and disc cam, and free format used for data file. 2. It was possible to design cam by choosing only the number of cam curve because of developing the CAD/CAM program with dimensionless method of cam curves including widely used 19 kinds. After selecting the number of the cam curve, the CAD/CAM system automatically shows the characteristics of cam motion enough to help a designer to decide : displacement, velocity, acceleration and jerk. 3. It was possible to execute, in an efficient way, both the cam profile synthesis and the generation of NC program for CNC machining center by using the input data. 4. This NC program generated by the CAD/CAM system developed here, was evaluated as positive in relation with actual manufacturing experiments and thought to be useful in its application without any modification. It can be said that this CAD/CAM system could be used by the beginners to design and manufacture the cam automatically as the system consists of very simple dialogue methods. In addition, self-developed QuickBasic would be would used as a basic tool for further stuides in this area of research, together with application.

레이스터 인서션 Backbone 링 네트워크에 관한 연구 (A Design of a Register Insertion Backbone Ring Network)

  • 본 논문은 레지스터 인서션 링 구조를 사용한 Backbone 네트워크의 디자인에 관하여 연구하였다. 고속의 레지스터 인서션 Backbone 링 네트워크는 적은 비용으로 간단한 모듈라 구조와 Concurrent Communication을 통하여 네트워크간의 빠른 속도의 데이타 통신을 가능케하여 준다. 큰 네트워크를 형성하기 위하여 국부 지역 통신망(근거리 통신망, Local Area Network:LAN)들과 접속되어 있는 브릿지 노드들이 Pint-to-Point로 연결되어 레지스터 인서선 Backbone링을 형성한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 브릿지 노드는 불필요하게 데이타 메시지가 링으로 유입되는 것을 막기 위하여 Local Address Filtering을 하여 Backbone링의 통신량을 현저하게 줄이며, Remote Adress Filtering을 하여 LAN 세그먼트내의 통신량을 감소시키므로 그 성능 특성을 극대화 시킨다. 또한 본 논ㅁ누에서는 네트워크의 Reconfiguration을 쉽게 하기 위하여 자동 학습 기능이 고안되었다. 그리고 Throushput 분석에 의해서 Backbone 링에 사용되는 전송매체의 Bandwidth를 예측하여 설계하는 방법이 연구되었다.
