대학생의 자기존중감, 학업적 자기효능감, 진로성숙도가 대학생활적응과 학업지속의향에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Self-Respect, Academic Self-Efficacy, and Career Maturity on Student Adaptation to College and Learning Persistence)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of self-respect, academic self-efficacy, and career maturity on student adaptation to college and learning persistence. For this study, a web survey was conducted on the students who were in college of engineering at D college in Seoul. A total of 702 samples were analyzed for this research. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, all variables (self-respect, academic self-efficacy, career maturity) had positive effects on student adaptation to college significantly. Secondly, self-respect and academic self-efficacy had positive effects on learning persistence except career maturity. Thridly, the mediation analyses revealed that the relations between learning persistence and self-respect, academic self-efficacy, and career maturity were partially mediated by student adaptation to college. Finally, student adaptation to college had also positive effects on learning persistence. The results indicate a need to enhance student adaptation to college and design programs that support learning persistence for university students.

전공기초교육 프로그램 만족도에 영향을 미치는 변인 분석 (Effect Analysis of Factors on Satisfaction of Fundamental Education for Major Course Learning)

  • This study investigates significant factors regarding college freshman engineering students and analyses each factors influence on student satisfaction in the College of Engineering core curriculum. We carried out a survey targeting 505 students who completed their fundamental education for major course learning in the 2011 academic year while attending one college in Gwangju and ruled out inadequate respondents. A total sample size 437 students were analyzed. The seven independent variables are academic fees, academic term period, academic environment of the classroom, learning material content, time of lecture, student sincerity and student need for the program. The dependent variable is fundamental education satisfaction level. As a result of multiple regression analysis, the following factors were found to be significant in the following order: learning material content, time of lecture, student sincerity, student need for the program, academic fees and academic environment of the classroom. On the other side academic term period was not significant. For improving fundamental education satisfaction, there is a need for prudent consideration regarding learning material development and lecture times. Also further investigation should take place for policies necessary for increasing learner motivation and sincerity, and expand appropriate conditions for learners to become self-aware of the education they need within their major.

Developing Teaching Materials for Practical Work by Student Dismantling and Assembly using an All Terrain Vehicle

  • It is necessary for lower grade students to study the correct usage of tools as a base of the technical education for dismantling and assembling various machines. However, enough understanding has not been obtained though the usage of these tools when training first grade students. So, we started to develop a teaching text and materials within the students' practice curriculum based on the dismantling and assembly of all-terrain vehicle [ATV]'s, which is a very motivating for lower grade students. This practice makes the student learn both how to use the tools and the steering mechanism of cars through the dismantling and assembling of the ATV. It is possible to not only have the student learn about the knowledge obtained through the practice, but also they also acquire wider and deeper knowledge through making the text and teaching materials for the practice. The textbook and secondary educational materials of this practice curriculum were created in cooperation with a fifth grade student as part of their graduation research. As a result, an effective teaching and learning text and secondary educational material regarding manufacturing practice could be developed from the student's point of view. Making a teaching text and materials is effective for promoting the study and experience of engineering.

  • 대학의 학사관리 시스템은 학생이 입학하여 졸업하기까지 수행하는 여러 가지 학사활동 및 과외활동으로부터 발생하는 방대한 데이터를 보유하고 있다. 그러나 이들을 학생들의 전공지도나 진로지도에 효과적으로 활용하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 학사관리 시스템에 축적된 정보를 대상으로 학생들의 전공선택 및 진로지도에 도움을 줄 수 있는 새로운 정보와 지식을 생성하는 방법을 개발, 제시하였다. 특히, 요인분석, 계층분석 (AHP) 기법을 동원하여 데이터 마이닝을 수행함으로써 유용한 지식과 규칙을 생성하였다. 방법론에 사용할 기본 자료는 학생들의 Holland 적성검사 결과이다. 연구의 결과로서 기존의 학생지도 담당자가 수작업으로는 알아낼 수 없었던 학생지도에 관한 유용한 규칙을 도출할 수 있었다.

  • Problem solving by homework assignment is a process of practicing what were discussed in classrooms and thus is considered as an essential part of learning procedure in engineering education. We introduced the concept of cooperative learning, Student Teams-Achievement Division(STAD), to improve the students' learning efficiency by in-class problem solving. The instructor explained fundamental concepts, and lecture materials were handed out to compensate for the time of in-class team activity. Brief tests were given after every chapter, and team-based additional credits were given for the improvement comparing the average of previous tests of each student. This attempt of modified STAD was evaluated to have brought about a significant improvement in students' academic achievement, in addition to activating classroom atmosphere.

SCA Advice System: Ontology Framework for a Computer Curricula Advice System Based on Student Behavior

  • This study proposed an SCA advice system. It is an ontology-based recommender that provides advice on appropriate computer curricula based on the behavior of high school students. The three computer curricula at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University include computer science (CS), information technology (IT), and web programming and security (WEB). This study aims to design the ontology framework for an SCA advice system. The system considers three core ontologies: student, computer-curriculum, and advice. After analyzing student behaviors, the behavior types of CS, IT, and WEB were determined to be SB-2, SB-1, and SB-5, respectively. All subjects in these three curricula were analyzed and grouped into seven groups. Their curricula were synthesized in terms of basic skills, basic knowledge, and characteristics. Finally, advice results can be obtained by consolidating the curriculum nature of the CS, IT, and WEB curricula.

2년제 공학계열 대학생의 학습민첩성과 취업준비행동의 관계: 학습몰입과 교수-학생 간 상호작용 빈도의 조절된 조절효과 (The Relationship between Learning Agility and Job Preparation Behavior of Engineering College Students: Moderated Moderation Effect of Learning Flow and Professor-Student Interaction Frequency)

  • 본 연구는 공학계열 대학생을 대상으로 학습민첩성과 취업준비행동의 관계에서 학습몰입과 교수-학생 간 상호작용의 조절된 조절효과를 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2년제 P대학 2학년 재학생 206명으로부터 수집한 데이터를 바탕으로 Process v3.5.3 for SPSS를 활용하여 연구 모델의 조건부 효과(직접효과 및 조절된 조절효과) 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 공학계열 대학생의 학습민첩성은 취업준비행동에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학습민첩성과 취업준비행동의 관계에서 학습몰입은 유의한 부적 조절효과가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학습민첩성과 취업준비행동 관계에서 학습몰입의 조절효과는 교수-학생 간 상호작용 빈도에 의해 조절되고, 그 영향은 통계적으로 유의하고 정적인 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 학문적·실무적 논의와 시사점을 제시하였다.

공학생의 문제해결력 향상을 위한 질문생성 전략 활용 플립러닝 수업 설계 (Design of Flipped Learning with Strategic Questioning to Improve Student's Problem-Solving Competency in Engineering)

  • 본 연구는 교과지식에 기반하여 공학도의 창의적 문제해결 능력을 증진시킬 수 있는 수업 방법으로 질문생성 전략을 활용한 플립러닝을 제시하고 있다. 설계한 플립러닝 수업을 한 학기 동안 정규학부 공학교육과정과 재직자 계약학과 공학교육과정에 적용하여 그 의미와 효과성을 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 실제 적용사례 연구를 통해 학습자의 플립러닝 수업에 대한 학습자 만족도 및 평가 의견을 조사하고 학습자 문제해결력 변화에 미치는 효과를 분석하여, 이후 수업 설계에서 보다 고려되어야 할 요소들을 도출하였다.
