초등 및 중학교 수준의 공학교육 내용표준 제안 (Content Standards for K-9 Engineering Education)

  • 이 연구는 공학교육 관련 문헌, 교육과정, 교육표준 등의 분석을 통하여 우리나라의 초등 및 중학교 수준의 공학교육을 정의하고, 공학교육 내용의 유형을 분석하고, 공학교육 내용표준을 개발하여 제안하였다. 공학 및 공학교육의 개념을 과학, 기술학, 공학의 어원적, 학문적, 방법적 차이에 따른 분석 및 조사에 근거하여 규정하였다. 공학교육 내용의 유형은 절차적 과정, 분야별 개념 및 지식, 과정과 지식을 융합 유형의 세 가지로 조사되었다. 공학교육 내용표준은 '공학 및 기술과 사회' '제품과 제조' '공학을 통한 문제해결' '공학기술시스템'의 네 개 대범주와 그에 따른 하위 요소로 개발하였다. 공학교육의 개념적 정의, 교육내용의 유형 및 내용표준은 초등 및 중학교 수준에서 공학교육을 제공하고, 비정규 교과로서 정규 교과와 연결하여 교육내용을 재구성하는 준거로 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 예비교사 교육 및 현직 교사의 공학교육 연수를 위한 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

Robust Real-time Detection of Abandoned Objects using a Dual Background Model

  • Detection of abandoned objects for smart video surveillance should be robust and accurate in various situations with low computational costs. This paper presents a new algorithm for abandoned object detection based on the dual background model. Through the template registration of a candidate stationary object and presence authentication methods presented in this paper, we can handle some complex cases such as occlusions, illumination changes, long-term abandonment, and owner's re-attendance as well as general detection of abandoned objects. The proposed algorithm also analyzes video frames at specific intervals rather than consecutive video frames to reduce the computational overhead. For performance evaluation, we experimented with the algorithm using the well-known PETS2006, ABODA datasets, and our video dataset in a live streaming environment, which shows that the proposed algorithm works well in various situations.

Fuzzy AHP 기법을 이용한 NEIS의 효과적 활용방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effective Use of NEIS using Fuzzy AHP Technique)

  • National Education Information System (NEIS) is an ambitious reform project that can improve the competitiveness and performance of education field and to link administrational work of between schools and their senior administration offices via internet. NEIS is introduced to lighten the teachers' overburden, to standardize the work process and to bring better quality education to each classroom and make it possible for those involved in education to resolve any related educational problem on line. This paper aims to construct a hierarchy model consisting of key factors such as technological and administrative factors for the effective use of NEIS and to evaluate the relative importance among key factors using fuzzy AHP technique included fuzzy concepts. Eventually, the analysis results can be utilized to develop the future improvement strategy of NEIS and to satisfy the users.

  • 저널 논문 투고 및 심사시스템에서의 논문 제출은 상시 이루어진다는 특성 때문에 논문이 제출된 시점에 적절한 심사자들을 찾아 배정하기란 쉽지 않은 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 제출된 논문에 적절한 심사자들을 추천해주는 알고리즘을 제시하고자 한다. 심사자 추천 알고리즘에서는 해당 논문의 전문가를 심사자로써 추천하기 위하여 제출된 논문들의 키워드(Keyword)와 심사자들의 전문지식태그(Expertise Tag) 정보를 활용한다. 또한 심사자들의 기존의 심사 정보를 토대로 심사활동지수를 평가하여 이를 심사자 추천에 활용하고자 한다. 제안하는 알고리즘을 검증하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 실제 저널 논문투고시스템에 추천 알고리즘을 적용해보고 이의 결과를 제시한다.

스마트밴드를 이용한 사용자 모션인식 헬스 케어 시스템 구현 (User Motion Recognition Healthcare System Using Smart-Band)

  • 스마트폰의 발달과 더불어 각종 스마트 디바이스가 발달되고 있는 요즘 사람의 신체에 부착하여 컴퓨팅할 수 있는 웨어러블 디바이스가 각광받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 움직임을 감지할 수 있는 손목시계형 웨어러블 디바이스를 개발하고 더불어 스마트TV, 스마트폰과 연동하여 사용자들이 효과적으로 자신의 신체정보를 저장, 관리를 할 수 있는 시스템을 개발 및 연구를 진행하였다. 기존의 헬스케어 웨어러블 디바이스는 스마트폰과의 연동을 통해 정보를 저장한다. 그리고 스마트 TV 헬스 애플리케이션은 카메라를 이용한 모션인식이 주를 이룬다. 하지만, 스마트폰과의 연동에서는 제조사마다 지원하는 기기에 제한이 있으며 스마트 TV의 경우도 제조사마다 카메라의 장착 여부가 다르기 때문에 사용자가 사용하기에는 한계가 있다. 웨어러블 디바이스와 스마트폰을 이용하여 수집된 사용자 정보를 이용하여 언제, 어디서나 운동하고 관리할 수 있다. 또한 이러한 정보는 스마트TV 애플리케이션을 통해 확인할 수 있다. 이 시스템을 이용하여 향후 사용자의 움직임을 더욱더 정밀하게 측정할 수 있는 인식기술과 타 디바이스와의 연동에 관한 연구에 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

한국의 기업가 특성 성과 예측 모델 비교연구 : 제조업, 건설업 및 기술산업을 중심으로 (A Comparative Study on Forecasting Models of Korean Entrepreneurs' Characteristics and Performances : Case of Manufacturing, Construction and Technological Industries)

  • Entrepreneurship is considered as the main leadership creating enterprises and employment. However, in Korea empirical studies linking Korean entrepreneurial performances with her characteristics are rarely in existence. Current study focuses on Korean entrepreneurs in manufacturing, construction and other technologically intensive (MCOT henceforth) industries compared to entrepreneurs in service and other technologically less intensive (SOT henceforth) industries and to professional/technical wage workers and examines effects of human capital, demographic, and risk-taking characteristics on earnings. Education premium is higher for entrepreneurs in MCOT industries than for professional/technical workers, even though science and engineering diploma pays better in the latter, and that concentration in college causes more selection into the latter occupational family. In terms of education premium and effects of other characteristics SOT industry entrepreneurship and self-employment appear to be lower grade occupational families, even though there appear to be significant comparative advantages working in their selection.

  • Many believe that electronic distance teaming education transform higher education, saving money and improving learning qualify So, the open University, which teaches around 280,000 students at a distance, is examining the adaption of its distance teaching methods for the internet. But, there are only one type of distance learning education of one way direction. To understand all of a student which selected some of e teaming course, teacher must check that how many student to understand and what is the difficult problems. Without checking this condition, It will be a very difficult and boring distance learning course. In this paper, we introduce of intelligent learning contents of full duplex direction that teach understanding student and not understanding student. The computer simulation results confirms that full duplex e learning system has been proven to be much more efficient than one way direction which not considering about understanding problems.

신호체계와 신호수 교육 개선을 통한 양중 작업 중 타워 크레인 사고 저감 대책 (Measures to Reduce Tower Crane Accidents During Operation by Improving Signal System and Education for Signalmen)

  • As the tower crane accident emerged as a social issue in 2017, various government measures were prepared. Most of the measures are focused on erecting, climbing, and dismantling phases. Analyzes of 84 serious accidents related to tower cranes from 2000 to 2018 and 104 near misses accidents from 2016 to 2018 revealed that 50% of the serious accidents occurred during the operating phase. The main occupation influencing operating phase accidents was signalman(81.6% of serious accidents), whose communication and competency were governing causes. This result was the same in 294 questionnaires to signalmen. Signal systems and education policies for tower crane signalman in Korea and foreign countries were analyzed, and standardization of wireless signal system and improvement of education system were propose.

An Energy-Efficient MAC Protocol for Wireless Wearable Computer Systems

  • Wearable computer systems use the wireless universal serial bus (WUSB), which refers to USB technology that is merged with WiMedia physical layer and medium access control layer (PHY/MAC) technical specifications. WUSB can be applied to wireless personal area network (WPAN) applications as well as wired USB applications such as PAN. WUSB specifications have defined high-speed connections between a WUSB host and WUSB devices for compatibility with USB 2.0 specifications. In this paper, we focus on an integrated system with a WUSB over an IEEE 802.15.6 wireless body area network (WBAN) for wireless wearable computer systems. Due to the portable and wearable nature of wearable computer systems, the WUSB over IEEE 802.15.6 hierarchical medium access control (MAC) protocol has to support power saving operations and integrate WUSB transactions with WBAN traffic efficiently. In this paper, we propose a low-power hibernation technique (LHT) for WUSB over IEEE 802.15.6 hierarchical MAC to improve its energy efficiency. Simulation results show that the LHT also integrates WUSB transactions and WBAN traffic efficiently while it achieves high energy efficiency.

초고속 정보 통신망을 이용한 원격 합주 교육 시스템 (The Remote Concert Education System on High-Speed Communication Network)

  • Continuing advance in computers and MIDI devices has accelerated research on the computerized music technology, Realization of high speed computer communication networks facilitated on-line computer music systems, which needs to send a volume of multimedia data. This paper presents the design and implementation of the Remote Concert Education System which helps users practice ensemble without gathering in a room. The system maintains the music database, identifies tones and measures of the melody played with different instruments, check the correctness on-line, and finally provides the analysed results of the ensemble. The developed system can be used as a supporting system for music education if high speed communication network is available.
