기계학습 기법을 사용한 캐릭터 제어 엔진의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Engine to Control Characters By Using Machine Learning Techniques)

  • 본 논문은 기계학습 기법을 이용한 게임 캐릭터를 제어하는 엔진을 설계하고 구현하는 것을 제안한다. 제안된 엔진은 실제 게임에서 상황 데이터를 추출하여 지식 데이터로 사용하므로 지능 캐릭터의 행동 패턴을 게이머들이 쉽게 인식하지 못하는 장점이 있다. 이를 위하여 상황 데이터를 추출하여 학습하는 모듈과 임의의 상황 데이터에 대하여 최적의 상황 제어를 판단하는 시험 모듈을 개발하는 것을 제안하였다. 구현된 엔진은 FEAR에 이식되고 Quake2 게임에 적용되었다. 또한 개발된 엔진의 올바른 동작과 효율성을 위하여 다양한 실험을 하였다. 실험으로부터 개발된 엔진이 올바르게 동작할 뿐만 아니라 제한된 시간 내에 효율적으로 동작함을 알 수 있었다.

  • This study was carried out to develop a microcomputer-based data acquisition and control system which was able to collect the data of engine performance test automatically and control the speed and load of the engine. The results of the study are summarized as follows: 1. The signal processing devices, which were able to measure cylinder pressure, coolant temperature, compositions of exhaust gas, fuel consumption, engine rpm and torque etc., were developed. The results of calibration showed that all of devices had high accuracy ranging from 0.3% to 0.69% respectively. 2. The PIA (peripheral interface adapter) for interfacing digital signal and PTM (programmable timer module) for displaying real time every 0.0408 sec were designed and developed. 3. An engine-speed control system using a stepping motor and driver was developed. The control system had the stability, and faster settling time than the manual control system. 4. The automatic control system of electrical dynamometer, which was able to control the speed and load of dynamometer, was developed with a SSD (shackleton system driver) and D/A converter. 5. The computer programs, which were able to collect and process the data of engine tests, were developed using both the machine language and BASIC.

  • Intelligent Wearable Module is intelligent system that arises when a human is part of the feedback loop of a computational process like a certain control system. Applied system is mobile robot. This paper represents the mobile robot control system remote controlled by Intelligent Wearable Module. So far, owing to the development of internet technologies, lots of remote control methods through internet have been proposed. To control a mobile robot through internet and guide it under unknown environment, We propose a control method activated by Intelligent Wearable Module. In a proposed system, PDA acts as a user interface to communicate with notebook as a controller of the mobile robot system using TCP/IP protocol, and the notebook controls the mobile robot system. Tlle information about the direction and velocity of the mobile robot feedbacks to the PDA and the PDA send new control method produced from the fuzzy inference engine.

  • This paper investigates the failure of a car with a 2.5-liter CRDi engine of the Hyundai Company. The failure is caused by intermittent poor acceleration while driving. To analyze the cause, we investigated the air intake volume, the fuel injection, and the air-fuel ratio, which were determined to be normal. The brake switch signal error was discovered while analyzing the function that limits the output of the engine. While investigating the cause, we discovered the corrosion of the pins on the connector of the brake switch. We determined that it was generated by soapy water flowing in the solar film. Therefore, the cause of the failure was the brake switch signal errors. Additionally, we determined that ECM was the normal fail-safe mode that implemented the override device for safety during normal acceleration. Based on these results, further solar film experiments must be conducted to fully elucidate the causes.

  • In this study, the cause of the acceleration failure of Hyundai Motor's 2.0-liter CRDi engine was analyzed. We tried to find problems through MDA (Measuring Data Analyzer) based on data such as vehicle speed, air intake, and air-fuel ratio obtained during the actual driving process. As a result, it was analyzed that the failure of the EGR valve exceeded the NOx emission standard and caused a decrease in engine output. Through this study, it is possible to reduce the time and cost of unnecessary maintenance and repair, and it is expected that a rapid cause analysis will be possible in the case of new failure diagnosis in the future.

  • 자동차 산업의 발전에 따라 보다 편리한 기능의 자동차 부품 기술 개발이 꾸준히 진행되어 왔으나, 운송 수단 발명 초기에 개발되었던 수동 클러치 방식은 수많은 연구와 개발자들의 노력에도 불구하고 아직 오토미션 수준의 초기 단계에 머물러 있다고 볼 수 있다. 종래의 오토 미션은 클러치 디스크의 슬립을 기초로 한 소형차량 및 개인용 RV 차량 위주로 사용되고 있으나, 본 연구 기술은 대형 차량부터 소형 승용차 및 농기계, 선박 등 클러치를 조작하는 모든 수송 기계에 적용이 가능한 혁신적인 기술이다. 차량의 운전 조건에 따라 달라지는 엔진의 출력 값에 따라, 클러치 디스크의 접속 시점을 정확히 결정하고 수동 변속기의 경우 빈번히 나타나는 반 클러치 상태를 적용하기 위하여, 클러치 디스크의 접속 시점을 결정하는 기준이 되는 데이터로 엔진(Engine)의 회전수(rpm)를 적용한다. 상승하는 엔진 회전수에 해당하는 값 만큼만 클러치 디스크를 이동, 접속시켜 차량의 동력을 원활하게 전달할 수 있는 자동차용 전자식 클러치 모듈을 연구하였다.

  • In this study, a wire/wireless communication system transmitting the operation data of engine from the ER (Engine Room) to the engine controller of ECR(Engine Control Room) has been developed through the communication of ISM(Industrial Science Medical) Band for the test operation environment improvement of medium speed engine. This wire/wireless communication system is composed of the RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) gathering and transmitting engine data as well as the MCU (Master Control Unit) receiving engine status information from the RTU to be sent to the engine controller (PLC). Through this study, a trial product of RTU and MCU has been manufactured. A test bench that has made temperature, pressure and pick-up sensor into a module for the local test of prototype was produced a test bench. In addition, at the same time save the data to a Web server and the smart phone real-time monitoring system has been developed using Wi-Fi communications. The ultimate objective of this study is to develop a wireless smart phone monitoring system of engine for the operator of engine to be able to monitor and control engine status even from the outside of engine room and control room based on this study.

클라우드컴퓨팅 기반의 NC포스트프로세서 구축을 위한 융합 연구 (Convergence Research for Implementing NC Postprocessor Based Cloud Computing)

  • 본 논문에서는 제조업체의 공장자동화 환경을 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 SaaS 구축기술을 활용하여 전용 NC포스트프로세서를 웹 환경에서 서비스 받을 수 있도록 융합기술을 적용한 사례를 기술하였다. 개발된 WPS시스템은 기존 소프트웨어 개발방법론인 SPLE을 보완한 SCoD 방법론을 활용하여 안정되고 지속적인 시스템 서비스를 제공하도록 구현하였다. WPS는 범용의 NC포스트프로세서를 사용자 인터페이스와 프로세서 엔진으로 분리하여 각각의 사용자 PC와 클라우드 팜에 설치하고, 이 두 모듈을 네트워크로 연결하는 구조로 설계하였다. WPS는 철판절단 및 금형생산 공정 등에 활용할 수 있도록 현업에서 기능상의 테스트를 완료하였고, 사용자의 편의성을 개선하고 과금을 위한 모듈을 추가하는 등의 보완 작업을 거쳐 상용 서비스를 진행 중에 있다.

가솔린 엔진/자동변속기 시스템의 객체지향형 모델 (An Object-Oriented Model for Gasoline Engine and Automatic Transmission Systems)

  • In this paper a simulation model for the powertrain control of gasoline engines with automatic transmission is presented. A modular programming approach has been pursued and the MATLAB/SIMULINK has been utilized as the programming environment. The engine/transmission system is analyzed in the object-oriented fashion whereby easy transferal of the modules, which represent physical parts or analysis subsystems, is guaranteed. Some mathematical models are adopted from the literature to compare the simulation results with the model and the experimental results in the literature. It is expected that the whole program or individual module constructed in this paper are useful for the automotive engineers in designing a new engine/transmission system and/or in modifying parts of existing systems.

높이 축소형 고효율 냉각모듈의 성능 평가에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Performance Evaluation of Downsized High-efficiency Cooling Module)

  • The cooling module needs enough space (or distance) from hood to absorb the energy from any pedestrian collision. Downsized cooling module for pedestrian protection is important to reduce the severity of pedestrian injury. When a vehicle collision happens, the downsized cooling module is required to reduce the risk of injury to the upper legs of adults and the heads of children. In this study, the performance of cooling module to cool the engine was investigated under 25% height reduction. The heat dissipation and pressure drop characteristics have been experimentally studied with the variation of coolant flow rate, air inlet velocity and A/C operation ON/OFF for the downsized cooling module. The results indicated that the cooling performance was about 94% level compared to that of the conventional cooling module. Therefore, we checked that the cooling module had good performance, and expected that the cooling module could meet the same cooling performance as conventional cooling module through optimization of components efficiency.
