APU용 구심터빈의 공력리그시험 (Aerodynamic Rig Test of Radial Turbine for APU)

  • 본 연구는 보조동력장치에 적용되는 구심터빈의 공력성능시험을 한국항공우주연구원의 고온 터빈 시험리그에서 수행한 결과이다. 리그시험을 위하여 터빈의 형상은 동일하되 팽창비, 마하수 및 유량계수는 실제 엔진과 동일한 값이 되도록 상사법칙을 적용하여 시험하였다. 설계 팽창비는 3.096이며, 상사된 설계회전수는 34909 rpm이고 상사된 터빈 입구온도는 $160^{\circ}C$이다. 터빈의 입구에는 익형 형상의 노즐이 설치되었으며 터빈 휠의 직경은 175.74mm이다. 시험을 통하여 터빈의 성능지도가 생성되었으며 터빈 입구에서의 상세 유동이 측정되었다. 노즐의 허브면에서 측정한 압력과 노즐의 쉬라우드 면과 터빈 휠 케이싱에서 측정한 압력 분포를 볼 때 터빈 내부에서의 팽창과정이 적절함을 확인할 수 있었다.

기관의 비정상 배기배출에 의해 생성되는 소음에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Noise Produced by Unsteady Exhaust Efflux of Engine)

  • This paper discusses prediction of the sound pressure level produced by simple engine exhaust systems(plain pipe, plain expansion chamber pipe, plain expansion chamber with internally extended inlet and outlet pipe, perforated pipe enclosed in a plain expansion chamber) and a computer program has been developed which predicts the sound pressure level and the frequency spectrum. The program utilizes unsteady flow gas dynamic theory and acoustic theory to predict the pressure-time history in the exhaust system and the mass flow rate-time history at the open end of the system and the sound pressure levels(1/3 Octave band levels) and the frequency spectrum in semi-anechoic room. The predictions are compared with measured levels and show a high degree of correlation.

공기흡입식 추진기관용 연료조절밸브시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Fuel Metering Unit for Air Breathing Engine)

  • In this paper, we have proposed a fuel metering unit of ai breathing engine. The proposed valve system consists of a constant pressure drop valve and a metering valve, which are controlled by servovalve. We carried out nonlinear and linear analysis, computer simulation and experimentation to find effects of some factors on system performance. Analysis and experimental results show a good agreement. It is also shown that the system stability is affected by pressure drop of metering valve and inlet pressure of injectors.

半圓周形 윤활홈을 갖는 저어널 베어링의 熱效果에 관한 연구 (A Study of Thermal Effects for a Half-Circumferential Grooved Journal Bearing)

  • A parametric study of the thermal effects of a half-circumferential grooved journal bearings under aligned and misaligned conditions has been carried out by solving numerically the coupled Reynolds and energy equation system. Five different sets of boundary conditions for the energy equation have been used which include mixing between recirculating oil and inlet oil and a contraction ratio for the cavitation region. The effects of changes of the inlet oil temperature and pressure, the wall temperature and the L/D ratio have also been examined. For the range of parameters found in internal combustion engines, the mixing effectiveness at the groove and the resulting final mixture temperature have been found to be as important as the wall temperature and the heat transfer rate. The variability of the temperature, though, has been shown to smooth out the peaks of both pressure and friction during misaligned condition Distributions of friction and pressure in the oil are also examined which may be useful in attempts to reduce friction without reducing load. Results for an axial grooved bearing are also presentsed for comparision purpose.

  • Using a cycle simulation program developed by authors, some thermodynamic characteristics of an aircraft ECS under various operating conditions are studied. When the inlet temperature of cockpit and avionics bay, as well as ram air flow, is held fixed, the effect of the change of regulated bleed pressure is examined. When the regulated bleed pressure, and the cockpit and avionics bay inlet temperature are fixed, the effect of the change of ram air flow is also investigated.

  • This study describes a theoretical analysis for the wall temperature of ceramic filter trap and pressures of inlet and outlet channel in the filter trap. In this study, the maximum wall temperature through filter trap length with time during the regeneration period showed a tendency moving from forward to backward. The pressure change of filter trap increased at the initial combustion but decreased with the combustion to be activated. So the pressure difference between initial and end regeneration at the inlet channel showed about 2kPa. The thermal regeneration period of this filter trap in the theoretical analysis showed about 200seconds in which the wall temperature was similar to the case of initial condition and the pressure showed about 1 kPa.

  • In this study, the effects of water vapor in inlet air on combustion efficiency, general performance, knock characteristics and emission gas concentration were investig- ated through the experiments of combustion and vibration analyses, emission gas analysis by changing water vapor quantity in inlet air with temperature and humidity auto control unit. With partial vapor pressure increase, the brake torque at wide open throttle status decreased and the average ignition delay angle increased, IMEP (indicated mean effective pressured using the integral and 3rd derivatives of filtered cylinder pressure as knock intensity, which matched well with the method of frequency power spectrum of block vibration signal. Water vapor in intake air had influence on the spark knock sensitivity. With the increase of water vapor content in intake air NOx emission was decreased and HC emission was increased.

  • 우주 발사체의 성공적인 비행을 위해서는 로켓 엔진의 성능 분산 관리가 필수적이다. 양산되는 엔진의 성능편차를 정량적으로 예측하기 위한 해석을 수행하고 성능영향계수를 이용하여 보정에 필요한 차압을 산출하였다. 별도의 추력제어 시스템을 갖추지 않은 엔진의 진공 추력 분산은 +9.1%, -8.7%로 나타났으며 엔진 혼합비 오차는 +9.7%, -9.6%에 달했다. 보정에 필요한 요구차압은 동일한 혼합비 보정에 대해 연소기 배관 산화제 측에서 더 작게 나타났으나 가스발생기 배관의 요구차압은 더 크게 요구된다.

  • 초음속 흡입구는 설계점에서 안정된 작동을 보이지만 탈설계점에서는 흔히 버즈라고 불리는 공력 불안정성에 직면하게 되고, 결과적으로 현저한 엔진 성능의 저하를 초래하게 된다. 버즈의 일반적인 특성을 파악하기 위해 1단 꺽임각을 갖는 외부 압축식 축대칭 흡입구를 이용하여 실험적, 수치적 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구를 통해, 흡입구 목에서 박리에 의한 흡입구 질식이 버즈의 주요 원인임을 밝힘으로써 버즈 현상의 메커니즘을 파악하였다. 여러 면적비율에 따라 간헐적 버즈와 연속적 버즈가 관찰되었고 그 천이과정이 파악되었다. 면적비율이 감소할수록 버즈 주파수가 증가하였으나, 각 면적비율에서 흡입구 내 모든 위치의 압력 진동 주파수는 동일한 특성을 갖는다.

급유구의 형상에 따른 박용엔진 크랭크 핀 베어링의 윤활특성 해석 (Analysis of Crank Pin Bearing with Various Inlet Groove Shape for Marine Engine)

  • Crank pin bearing in two-stroke marine diesel engine is operated under quite severe conditions since the elements are big and heavy and the sliding speed is very slow. Therefore it is very difficult to form oil film. In this paper, two types of bearings with different groove shape are compared. One has circumferential oil groove at lower position and the other has lengthwise oil groove at upper position. Bearing clearance, oil inlet pressure and length to diameter ratio are selected as design parameters. Locus of journal center and minimum oil film thickness are investigated to compare two cases.
