산업용 안전 릴리프밸브 유동특성에 관한 수치연구 (A Numerical Study on the Flow Characteristics through an Industrial Safety Relief Valve)

  • In this paper, the flow characteristics through an industrial safety relief valve used to protect the crankcase room in a large-sized marine engine have been numerically investigated using the moving-mesh strategy. With the room pressure higher than the cracking one, the spring-loaded disc becomes open and then the air in the room blows off into the atmosphere, resulting in the reduction of the room pressure and then the shutoff of the disc. Numerical simulations are performed on the compressible air flow through the relief valve (${\phi}160mm$) with the initial room pressure (0.11 bar or 0.12bar) higher than the cracking one (0.1 bar). The numerical method has been validated by comparing the results with the empirical ones. Results show that the disc motion and flow characteristics can be successfully simulated using the moving-mesh strategy and depend strongly on the spring stiffness and the flow passage shape. With increasing spring stiffness, the maximum disc displacement decreases and thus the total disc-opening time also decreases. In addition, the flow passage shape makes a significant effect on the velocity and direction of the flow.

VEHICLE LONGITUDINAL AND LATERAL STABILITY ENHANCEMENT USING A TCS AND YAW MOTION CONTROLLER

  • This paper proposes a traction control system (TCS) that uses a sliding mode wheel slip controller and a PID throttle valve controller. In addition, a yaw motion controller (YMC) is also developed to improve lateral stability using a PID rear wheel steering angle controller. The dynamics of a vehicle and characteristics of the controllers are validated using a proposed full-car model. A driver model is also designed to steer the vehicle during maneuvers on a split ${\mu}$ road and double lane change maneuver. The simulation results show that the proposed full-car model is sufficient to predict vehicle responses accurately. The developed TCS provides improved acceleration performances on uniform slippery roads and split ${\mu}$ roads. When the vehicle is cornering and accelerating with the brake or engine TCS, understeer occurs. An integrated TCS eliminates these problems. The YMC with the integrated TCS improved the lateral stability and controllability of the vehicle.

  • 큰 에디 모사(LES)는 복잡한 연소실 유동에서 RANS 모델과 비교해 난류 유동장에 대해 모델의 보편성과 더 정확한 결과를 제공하기 때문에 점차적으로 사용이 증대되고 있다. 내연 기관의 연소실 내 난류 유동장 해석을 큰 에디 모사를 사용하여 수행하였다. 이산화 방식, 초기 조건, 시간 간격과 SGS 모델과 같은 모델과 수치 인자에 따른 영향을 평가하였다. SGS 모델을 사용한 LES 모사는 실험치와 유사한 결과를 보여주었다.

  • In companion paper, the composition and structure of the traffic environment is derived. Rules to regulate agent behaviors and the frameworks to communicate between the agents are proposed. In this paper, the model of a driver agent which controls a vehicle agent is constructed. The driver agent is capable of having different driving styles. That is, each driver agent has individual behavior settings of the yielding index and the passing index. The yielding index can be defined as how often the agent yields in case of lane changes, and the passing index can be defined as how often the agent passes ahead. According to these indices, the agents overtake or make their lanes for other vehicles. Similarly, the vehicle agents can have various vehicle dynamic models. According to their dynamic characteristics, the vehicle agent shows its own behavior. The vehicle model of the vehicle agent contains the nonlinear subcomponents of engine, torque converter, automatic transmission, and wheels. The simulation has proceeded for an interrupted flow model. The result has shown that it is possible to express the characteristics of each vehicle and its driver in a traffic flow, and that the change of the traffic state is closely related with the distance and the signal delay between intersections. The system developed in this paper shows the effectiveness and the practical usefulness of the traffic simulation.

GHP 운전시 COV에 의한 정상상태 판별 및 이상검출 방법 연구 (A Study on Steady-State Criterion based on COV and a Fault Detection Method during GHP Operation)

  • Fault detection has to be proceeded by steady state filtering to get rid of transient effect associated with thermal capacity. Coefficient of variance (COV), ratio of standard deviation devided by moving average, was employed as steady-state filter. Engine speed and refrigerant pressures were selected as parameters representing system dynamics. The filtered values were registered as members of steady-state DB. They were found to show good functional relationship with ambient temperature. The relationship was fitted with a second order polynomial and the distribution bounds of the data around the fitted curve were expressed by visual inspection because of varying average and random data interval. Fault data were compared with the steady-state data obtained during normal operation. The fault data were easily isolated from the fault-free one. To make such isolation reliable, tests to construct good DB should be designed in a systematic way.

  • 본 논문은 SURF(Speeded Up Robust Features)를 기반으로 한 대상 물체 인식 알고리즘과 GP(Genetic Programming)를 기반으로 한 직진, 회전, 정지, 후진 걸음새(gait) 자동 생성을 각각 구현한다. 그리고 이를 결합 하여, 대상을 인식하고 자율적으로 접근 및 추종할 수 있는 인식 기반 지능적인 보행 기법을 제안한다. 4족 보행 로봇의 걸음새는 GP를 사용하여 각 관절의 궤적에 대한 회귀분석으로 생성한다. 고속의 특징점 검출에 적합한 SURF를 사용해서 물체의 위치와 크기를 인식하고, 물체까지의 거리를 계산한다. 4족 보행로봇의 물체 인식 및 이를 통한 자율접근 보행 실험은 ODE(Open Dynamics Engine) 기반의 Webots 시뮬레이션과 실제 로봇에 대해서 수행된다.

고속직분식 디젤엔진에서의 분무충돌과 연료액막형성 모델링 (Modeling of Spray Impingement and Fuel Film Formation in HSDI Diesel Engines)

  • Spray impingement and fuel film formation models were developed and incorporated into the computational fluid dynamics code. STAR-CD. The spray/wall interaction process was modeled by considering the change of behaviour with surface temperature conditions and the fuel film formation. We divided the behaviour of fuel droplets after impingement into rebound, spread and splash using the Weber number and the parameter K. The Spray impingement model accounts for mass conservation, energy conservation and heat transfer to the impinging droplets. The fuel film formation model was developed by integrating the continuity, Navier-Stokes and energy equations along the direction of fuel film thickness. Validation of the models was conducted using previous diesel spray experimental data and the present experimental results for the gasoline spray impingement. In all the cases, the prediction compared reasonably well with the experimental results. The spray impingement and fuel film formation models have been applied to the spray/wall impingement in high speed direct injection diesel engines.

휠로더 주행 및 작업시스템의 동력흐름 분석 (Energy Flow Analysis of Working and Driving System of a Wheel Loader)

  • This paper presents simulation-based analysis of energy flow of a wheel loader. The objective of this study is to analyze the energy flow of a wheel loader during driving and working. Because the wheel loader powertrain consists of a mechanical and hydraulic powertrain, the generated power from the engine is divided into 2 powertrains. Further, a virtual prediction of energy flow in the powertrains is a key factor in terms of optimal design. Accordingly, the simulation model that is able to predict the virtual energy flow is developed and analyzed in this study. The proposed wheel loader simulation model has been constructed in the Matlab/Simulink environment. It is expected that the developed simulation model will analyze the energy flow and efficiency in the design stage.

  • 스크램젯 비행체에서 극초음속 순항미사일의 추진 특성을 향상시키고 항력을 적게 발생하면서 전력을 생산하는 장치로써 MHD 장치가 최근 들어 큰 관심을 받아왔다. 이전에 보였던 것보다 보다 완전한 물리적 모델을 바탕으로 하면, 경계층 박리 억제나 파워 바이패스를 통해 극초음속 추진 시스템의 성능 향상을 하는 MHD의 쓰임새를 논의하는 것은 불필요한 일이 된다. MHD 유동 제어를 하게 되면 엔진 성능에 상당한 역효과를 미치는 불가피한 Joule 가열이 크게 발생한다. 하지만, 예비 조사에 따르면 MHD는 약간의 항력만을 더 발생하면서 스크램젯 엔진을 장착한 무기에 메가와트 단위의 큰 전력을 생산해 낼 수 있을 것으로 여겨진다.

  • 초임계환경에서 작동하는 케로신/액체산소 동축와류형 분사기의 혼합특성을 수치적으로 연구하였다. 케로신 물성치를 계산하기 위하여 써로게이트 모델이 적용되었다. 난류모델은 LES를 기반으로 하였고, 초임계영역의 상태량을 계산하기위해 SRK 상태방정식, 점성계수와 열전도도에 대하여 Chung이 제안한 고압상태 혼합물에 대한 방정식, 확산계수에 대하여 Fuller 이론에 Takahashi가 제안한 고압상태의 특징을 고려한 식을 적용하였다. 연소실 압력변화에 따른 분사기와 연소실에서의 열역학적 물성치와 혼합특성을 관찰하였다. 또한 분사기의 압력섭동 스펙트럼밀도를 분석하였다.
