  • Additional neutral particle analyzer has been installed to investigate the variation of fast ion tails with regard to the line of sight during 2012 KSTAR campaign. The system has the same photo-diode particle detector as previous system [1]. Both newly installed system and previous system modifield for 2012 campaign have two channels. One has a particle stopper transparent to hard X-ray, the other has no one. It will be used to separate the hard X-ray component from total hard X-ray and fast neutral counts. It is expected to measure fast ion tails more clearly through this extended system. A detailed system and calibration result will be presented in the conference.

  • Purpose: This study was performed to find correlations between Edema Index and Pulse Energy in early postpartum period. Methods: Fiftynine postpartum women were participated in this study which was conducted with Inbody 720 (Biospace Co. Ltd) and 3D Blood Pressure Pulse Analyzer (3D-MAC). Edema Index (Extra Cellular Water/Total Body Water) calculated after body composition analysis and 3D-MAC result (Pulse Energy) were analysed within a week after delivery. Results: The results were as follows 1. Edema Indexes of the upper, lower limbs, trunk and whole body were associated with each other respectively. 2. Edema Indexes and Right Kwan pulse energy had significant positive correlation. 3. Right Kwan pulse energy showed positive correlations with Left Kwan, Right Chon, Right Cheok. Conclusions: Viscera associated with Postpartum Edema are Spleen, Lung, Liver and Vital Gate. The most important thing is thought to be Spleen.

  • An electron energy analyzer for Angle Resolved Ultraviolet Photoelectron Spectroscopy (ARUPS) has been constructed and tested. This analyzer consists of tandem 3 element electron lenses and two concentric hemispherical capacitors. Electronic structure of clean Cu(100) surface has been studied to test the feature of the analyzer. The ultimate energy resolution is 40 me V and angle resolution is $0.2^{\circ}$.

  • We developed the low energy electron detector (LEED) for KITSAT-B which was launched on September 26, 1998. The sensor head is mounted on the top of the satellite so that it can measure the precipitating electron flux along the Magnetic field line in the auroral zone at 820 km altitude. The detector system is composed of 4 parts : the electrostatic analyzer, the spira10on detector, the discriminator / Preamplifier, and the interface to the spacecraft. The analyzer limits the access to the spiraltron only to the electrons of certain energies which are determined by the electrostatic field across the two coaxial cylindrical analyzer plates. The energy spectrum of the detector in consideration is about 100 eV to 6.7 KeV, which is swept in 1.6 seconds and divided into 16 bins. It 81so is 1.6 second reset period after each swept, We will discuss the technical features of the system as well as the future observational schedule.

  • In this paper, the study of analysis of uranium isotopes in environmental samples with a kinetic phosphorescence analyzer (KPA) was described. After leaching uranium fraction from soil and glass material with microwave acid digestion technology, uranium isotopes were purified with UTEVA column, and then measured using KPA. Linearity and repeatability tests for measurement of uranium isotopes were carried out in the uranium standard solution with KPA. The reliability for analytical method of uranium with KPA was validated by its application to uranium standard solution, ground water, IAEA and NIST reference samples.

  • As chip multiprocessors have been widely adopted in embedded systems, achieving both high performance and low power consumptions of parallel applications becomes challenging. In order to meet these requirements, it is crucial for developers to analyze the performance and energy consumption of parallel applications. In this paper, we propose a tool for profiling and optimizing the performance and energy consumption of OpenMP applications (energy PROfiler and analyzer for OpenMP: ePRO-OMP). The main advantage of ePRO-OMP is that it can analyze both the performance and energy consumption of each parallel region of an OpenMP application, which can help developers find the bottleneck of parallel applications in detail.

  • A visual environment for system analysis codes (hereinafter called "ViSA") has been developed to support code users in their input preparations, code executions, and output interpretations. ViSA provides a more convenient way for base input data generation and modification on a user-friendly basis. It also provides on-line graphical displays to give an in-depth understanding of transient thermal-hydraulic behaviors in nuclear power plants. This paper presents the main features of ViSA.

  • A non-invasive method for ion energy distribution measurement at a RF biased surface is proposed for monitoring the property of ion bombardments in capacitively coupled plasma sources. To obtain the ion energy distribution, the measured electrode voltage is analyzed based on the circuit model which is developed with the linearized sheath capacitance on the assumption that the RF driven sheath behaves like a simple diode for a bias power whose frequency is much lower than the ion plasma frequency. The method is verified by comparing the ion energy distribution function obtained from the proposed model with the experimental result taken from the ion energy analyzer in a dual cathode capacitively coupled plasma source driven by a 100 MHz source power and a 400 kHz bias power.

  • The silver nanofluids were synthesized by the pulsed wire evaporation (PWE) method in a liquid-gas mixture. The size and microstructure of nanoparticles in the deionized water were investigated by a particle size analyzer (PSA), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Also, the synthesized nanofluids were investigated in order to assess the stability of dispersion of nanofluid by the zetapotential analyzer and dispersion stability analyzer. The results showed that the spherical silver nanoparticle formed in the deionized water and mean particle size was about 50 nm. Also, when explosion times were in the range of 20$\sim$200 times, the absolute value of zeta potential was less than -27 mV and the dispersion stability characteristic of low concentration silver nanofluid was better than the high concentration silver nanofluid by turbiscan.
