  • The private security has been one of the fastest growing parts of the law enforcement industry, confronted with mutual coincidence or complementarity. Therefore, the primary factor in order to straighten it up should be bringing op a person, because he or she arranges the private security, based on the society in the end. In addition, it is suggested that further study of technical learning and its practice should be arranged. Because the education for agents undertaking the social security is comprehensive in space and limited in time, it may accompany hardship in arranging its content and curriculum Although this article leaves much to be desired, it has been analyzed end observed if a greater emphasis is placed on ample human resources supply for increased demand on social security in private law enforcement industry through institutional education system. A scientific advancement is expected to be attained in the majors related to the private security, with validity that the continuous studies should be implemented, and a social role of colleges as a specialized institute should be erected.

  • Rupture of the main bronchus due to blunt chest trauma is very rare, especially In childhood although the incidence is increasing. Early diagnosis and primary repair not. only restore normal lung function but also avoid the difficulties and complications associated with delayed diagnosis and repair. We experienced 2 cases of right main bronchial rupture caused by traffic accidents. Patients suffered from progressively developing dyspnea and subcutaneous emphysema on the neck, anteriorchest, andanteriorabdominalwall. Emergency operations were performed through right posterolateral thoracotomy incision at the 4th intercostal space. Intraoperatively, the right main bronchus completely transsected and separated. Corrective bronchoplasty was performed with end-to-end anastomosis using interrupted suture with 3-0 Vicryle and the suture line was reinforced with azygos vein and parietal pleural flap. Postoperative courses were uneventful and patients discharged without any specific pro lems.

  • Toshiba has developed a laser peening system for PWRs(pressurized water reactors) as well after the one for BWRs(boiling water reactors), and applied it for BMI(bottom-mounted instrumentation) nozzles, core deluge line nozzles and primary water inlet nozzles of Ikata Unit 1 and 2 of Shikoku Electric Power Company since 2004, which are Japanese operating PWR power plants. Laser pulses were delivered through twin optical fibers and irradiated on two portions in parallel to reduce operation time. For BMI nozzles, we developed a tiny irradiation head for small tubes and we peened the inner surface around J-groove welds after laser ultrasonic testing (LUT) as the remote inspection, and we peened the outer surface and the weld for Ikata Unit 2 supplementary. For core deluge line nozzles and primary water inlet nozzles, we peened the inner surface of the dissimilar metal welding, which is of nickel base alloy, joining a safe end and a low alloy metal nozzle. In this paper, the development and the actual application of the laser peening system for PWR power plants will be described.

  • In this driving simulation study, the impairing effects of various types of electronic devices usage(i. e., destination search by using in-vehicle navigation system, TV watching and dialing cellular phone) during driving on front-to-rear-end collision avoidance were investigated. Percentage of collisions, driving speeds when the drivers collided, and initial reaction time for collision avoidance were analyzed and compared as the dependent measures. The results indicated that (1) any types of electronic devices usage during driving induced more serious collision-related impairment than control condition where no additional task was required, and (2) in general, destination search task appeared to impair drivers collision avoidance performance more than the other task requirements in terms of percentage of collisions and initial reaction time for collision avoidance, but TV watching induced most serious collision impact. These results suggested that any types of electronic device usage could distract drivers attention from the primary task of driving, and be resulted in serious outcome in potentially risky situation of front-to-rear-end collision. In particular, mandatory use of eye-hand coordination and receiving feedback seemed to one of essential factor leading the drivers visual attentional distraction.

  • Purpose: To retrieve the retracted flexor tendon, additional incision and wide dissection are conventionally required. We introduce minimal - incision tenorrhaphy using 1 cm - length incision and minimal dissection. Methods: Transverse incision about 1 cm - length is made over the level of retracted tendon. Nelaton's catheter is advanced into tendon sheath from distal primary laceration wound to emerge proximally through the incisional wound. Catheter is sutured to proximal tendon in end - to - end fashion. By gently pulling the catheter, retracted tendon is delivered to distal wound. Tenorrhaphy with core suture and epitendinous suture is then carried out. Results: This retrieving technique provides minimal incision, minimal dissection, minimal bleeding, minimal injury to tendon end, and shorter operation time with preservation of vincula tendinum and pulley system. Conclusion: In case of flexor tendon rupture with retraction, this operative method is believed to allow reliable and effective tenorrhaphy and excellent postoperative outcomes.

  • Objectives: This review aims to report the efficacy and safety of electroacupuncture in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. Methods: We searched for randomized controlled studies (RCTs) using electroacupuncture on primary dysmenorrhea up to Dec 2016. The following databases were searched : OASIS, PubMED, EMBASE, CENTRAL. The results of the studies were analyzed and the risk of bias was assessed. Results: Five studies were included in this review. In most studies, the effect of electroacupuncture at Sameumgyo (SP6) was better than that of electroacupuncture at Hyeonjong (GB39), nonacupoint and no intervention about Visual analog scale (VAS), Verbal rating scale (VRS) and Retrospective symptom scale (RSS). But there were no significant effects on Resistance Index (RI) and S/D ratio (the ratio between peak systolic to end-diastolic flow velocity in uterine arteries). Serous adverse events were not reported. Conclusions: This review shows that electroacupuncture is effective on primary dysmenorrhea with no serious adverse events.

  • A total and consecutive 291 patients of isolated single mitral valve replacement using the Ionescu-Shiley bovine pericardial xenograft valve operated on between October 1978 and June 1983 were retrospectively studied for the durability of the substitute valves based on the structural degeneration of primary tissue failure which had been proved on their re-replacement surgery. The mean age at the initial surgery was 32.4*12.5 years, and the operative mortality rate was 5.2 %. The early survivors of 276 patients were followed up for a total 1148.3 patient-years[mean\ulcornerD, 4.16*2.57 years]at the follow-up end of June 1988. They experienced 4 major late complications: 1.045 % thromboembolism/patient-year [pt-yr]; 0.871 % bleeding/pt-yr; 0.610% endocarditis/pt-yr; and 3.309% overall valve failure/pt-yr or 1.655% primary tissue failure/pt-yr. The actuarial survival rates were 89.4*2.2% and 87.7*2.5% at 5 and 10 years after initial surgery respectively. The probabilities of freedom from thromboembolism were 95.1*1.6% and 93.2*2.0% at 5 and 10 years after surgery. Nineteen patients underwent re-replacement of the Ionescu-Shiley valve because of primary tissue failure, and there was no operative mortality. The incidence of primary tissue failure was highest for the patients less than 15 years of age occurring in 9 out of 27 patients [33.3 %] or 8.68 %/pt-yr, while it was 4.0 % or 0.96 %/pt-yr for the rest of patients older than this age. The probabilities of freedom from primary tissue failure were 96.7*1.4 % and 84.2*3.8% at 5 and 9 years after surgery. The freedom from tissue failure increased as the age limits of cumulative younger patients were increased while it decreased as the age limits of cumulative older patients were decreased. Although it is clear that the Ionescu-Shiley valve would degenerate prematurely in young patients, the definite age limit could not be identified when the risk of early failure was significantly high.

  • Esophageal atresia is a rare congenital anomaly and it usually associated with tracheo-esophgeal fistula and other congenital anomalies. The first report of esophageal atresia with tracheo-esophageal fistula was done by Thomas Gibson in 1696. In 1941, Haight performed the first successful primary anastomosis for esophageal atresia. These accomplishments opened the gateway for clinical studies that have resulted in reinforcements and improvement in the care of infants born with this anomaly. From January 1986 to April 1994, 14 cases of esophgeal atresia with tracheo-esophgeal fistula were diagnosed in Kyung Hee Uinv. Hospital. There were 9 male and 5 female infants. 12 infants were Gross classification type C and 2 infants were type A. The average body weight was 2.7$\pm$0.4kg and Waterson Category A contained 4 infants, B contained 3 infants and C contained 7 infants. Among these infants, 9 infants were underwent anastomosis procedures. We performed retropleural approach in 6 infants, transpleural approach in 2 infants and 1 infant was performed colon interposition through substernal space.By the method of anastomosis, end-to-side anastomosis was performed in 5 infants, end-to-end anastomosis in 3 infants and esophagocologastrostomy in 1 infant. The former 8 infants were Gross classification type C and the latter was type A. Among the type C infants, 6 infants were anastomosed with one layer interrupted suture and 2 infants with 2 layer interrupted suture. Post- operative death was in 1 infant and 8 infants were discharged with good result and have been in good condition.

  • Cognitive radios are typically known to exploit vacant spectrum resources in order not to interfere with primary communication systems. However, cognitive radios may not be able to secure a clear spectrum band in a bustling spectrum band. Underlay spectrum sharing provides a way to cope with such a spectrum sharing problem. Cognitive radios share the same spectrum band with the spectrum licensees, i.e., primary users, by adjusting signal transmission power so as not to severely deteriorate the performance of the primary users. We propose an underlay spectrum sharing policy leveraging uplink spectrum resource to be used in a cellular network. A pair of end terminals attempts to establish a direct point-to-point link, and perform as cognitive radios in the sense that they share the uplink radio resource of other primary users. We formulate the transmit power constraints of the cognitive radios and propose a practical uplink band sharing framework. Our simulation results demonstrate that such an uplink sharing underlay direct link can enhance the throughput performance of point-to-point link with low overhead.
