  • A public information system is being expanded, along with the advance of information technology, to strengthen national competitiveness and provide people with better services. And there also is a growin need for the better performance of that system, as a tremendous amount of public financial resources is invested in that. To address that need, it's required to make an evaluation of its efficiency on a regular basis to identify its problems and make it work better. The purpose of this study was, accordinglu, to examine the quality of data and services provided by the Work-Net, a Web-based public employment information system. The subjects in this study were 102 users of it, and the system was evaluated in terms of content, accuracy, timeliness, display format, ease of use and customer support. For data analysis, t-test and one-way ANOVA were implemented to find out the general characteristics of the users, and to see Whether or not their view was different according to the type of information they searched for. The findings of this study are expected to lay some foundation for intensifying the efficiency of the public and private employment information systems.

  • The importance of the NCS(National Competitiveness Standards) is growing as the job market shrinks and more institutions require hiring based on NCS. Of the ten domains of NCS', the most relevant one with the performance of all tasks is basic capability group. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of college students' basic capability group(communication capability, mathematical capability) on their career preparation behavior. In this study, we set up a process model to comprehend the effect of college students' basic capability group on career preparation behavior based on social cognitive career theory. For research model testing, 561 questionnaires were used for empirical analysis through structural equations modeling. Empirical analysis showed that communication capability positively influenced college students' career preparation behaviors for employment. But, mathematical capability don't influenced college students' career preparation behaviors for employment. Next, career self-efficacy and career outcome expectation each positively influenced college students' career preparation behaviors for employment. Also, interest in the major positively influenced college students' career preparation behaviors for employment. The academic implications are as follows: Career self-efficacy and interest in the major were important factors in the communication capability. The process of communication capability affecting career preparation behavior and interest in the major was explained through social cognitive career theory and self-efficacy. The practical implications are as follows: Administrative assistance should be provided to improve the career self-efficacy of college students.

  • Background/Aims: With improvements in the survival of liver transplantation (LT) recipients, the focus is shifting to patient quality of life (QOL), and employment is an important factor in aiding the social reintegration of LT patients. This study aims to evaluate the current employment status of liver graft recipients and various factors that may hinder reemployment. Methods: Fifty patients above age 18 who underwent either living or deceased donor LT at a single center from March 2009 to July 2016 were interviewed during their visit to the outpatient clinic. The internally developed questionnaire consisted of 10 items. The Karnofsky Performance Scale and EQ-5D were used to evaluate patient function and QOL. Results: A total of 25 (50%) patients returned to work after transplantation (the working group), and 21 (84%) patients in the working group returned to work within the first year after transplantation. In the non-working group (n=25), 17 (68%) answered that their health was the reason for unemployment. Fatigue and weakness were the most frequent symptoms. Conclusions: The data shows that as many as 50% of total patients returned to work after receiving LT. Fatigue and weakness were the most common complaints of the unemployed group, and resolving the causes of these symptoms may help to increase the employment rate.

  • Korea has a high proportion of self-employment. Many of them start the food business since it does not require high-techs and it is possible to start the business relatively easily compared to many others in business categories. However, the closure rate of the business is also high due to excessive competition and market saturation. Cafés and restaurants are examples of food business where the business analysis is highly important. However, for most of the people who want to start their own business, it is difficult to conduct systematic business analysis such as trade area analysis or to find information for business analysis. Therefore, in this paper, we predicted business status with simple information using Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio program. Experimental results showed higher performance than the number of attributes, and it is expected that this artificial intelligence model will be helpful to those who are self-employed because it can easily predict the business status. The results showed that the overall accuracy was over 60 % and the performance was high compared to the number of attributes. If this model is used, those who prepare for self-employment who are not experts in the business analysis will be able to predict the business status of stores in Seoul with simple attributes.

For these purposes the data are collected by using questionnaire distributed to 450 housewives living in Seoul. The data are analyzed using frequency, percentile, one way anova, pearson's correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, multiple regression analysis. The results of this research are as follow : 1. There are significant differences in the socialization of household task service area according to housewives's education and employment family income, the type of housing the number of household equipment sex role attitude, attitude about household task, and task performance competency. 2. The factors showing significant relation to the satisfaction about socialization of household task service areas are found to be housewife's education and employment family income sex role attitude and task performance competancy. 3. In the result of the independent contribution of the factors, the most influencial factor is the socialization of household task service area and the next is sex role attitude. 4. Housewives are generally satisfacted on the socialization of household task because of the overweight of household task and because they are unable to those household tasks, and on the other hand they are generally dissatisfacted on the socialization of household tasks because of economic weight, because they couldn't know the ability of service export before employing and because the housework practiced by service expert is different from their expects.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship of fatigue and functional status in patients with cancer. Method: The data were collected from August, 15 to October, 10, 2005. The subjects were recruited from three university hospitals and two general hospitals in B, U, and S cities in Korea. Fatigue was measured using the Fatigue Scale for Cancer Patients, and Functional Status was measured using the Karnofsky Performance Status Index. Result: 1) The mean score of fatigue was $79.72{\pm}21.25$(range: 26-130), and the mean score of functional status was $79.33{\pm}13.02$. 2) There were significant differences in the scores of fatigue by sex, age, marital status, employment, major care-giver, pain, and period after diagnosis. 3) There were significant differences in the scores of functional status by employment, major care-giver, pain, stage of cancer, period after diagnosis, and type of cancer. 4) There was a significant negative correlation between fatigue and functional status (r= -.472, p= .000). Conclusion: Increase in fatigue was associated with decrease in functional status in patients with cancer. Nurses must assess fatigue and functional status when caring for the cancer patients, and provide nursing intervention to relieve fatigue and to improve functional status.

There were statistically significant difference in the job stress of medical technician by age, marriage, occupation, hospital size, position, parenting form, employment type, and lunch break. Job stress by occupation was highest in medical laboratory technologists, followed by radiological technologists and physical therapists. Job satisfaction was the highest among physical therapists. followed by radiological technologists and medical laboratory technologists. There were significant differences in age, occupation, parenting form, type of employment, and lunch break according to demographic characteristics. In order to reduce the job stress and job satisfaction of the medical technician working at the hospital, the development of the job environment should be sought and the hospital should also be removed from the authoritarian management system.
