게임산업의 권역별 역량 비교분석 - 입지분석과 CT R&D 역량지수 분석을 중심으로 - (The comparative analysis of game capability by region -focus on the analysis of LQ index and CT R&D competence level-)

  • 본 연구는 문화콘텐츠 산업 중 게임산업의 CT R&D 성과지표의 타당성을 도출하여 권역별 게임산업 관련 기업들의 경쟁력을 분석하고자 한다. 게임산업의 권역별 경쟁력 분석을 위해 권역별 기업체수, 종업원 수, 매출액에 기초한 LQ분석과 R&D 역량 분석을 위해 전국을 7개 권역으로 나누어 게임 CT분야의 R&D 영역 분석을 수행하였다. 권역별 평균 LQ분석 결과, 수도권이 포함된 경우 수도권만 고경쟁력 산업으로 나타났으며, 수도권을 제외한 경우는 대경권, 동남권, 충청권의 순서로 경쟁력이 나타났다. 권역별 게임산업 CT R&D 역량은 수도권이 강세에 있으며, 네트워크 역량, 성과역량을 제외한 역량구성에서 전반적으로 높은 경쟁력을 가지고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 종합적으로 권역별 게임산업의 R&D 역량은 충청권 수도권 호남권의 순서로 비교우위의 R&D 역량을 보이며, 특히 충청권은 성과역량에서 수도권에 비해 상대적으로 강세에 있는 기업군 네트워크 및 기술력과 이를 지원하는 R&D 기관의 상호호혜적인 벤처생태계에 기인하는 것으로 판단된다.

중소기업 정보화 수준 격차 해소방안에 관한 국가 간 비교연구 (How can we narrow the digital divide among SMEs in APEC member economies?)

  • This study, by adopting case study methodology, is focused on examining the present state and analyzing the cause of the digital divide, and suggesting policies for bridging the divide, specifically in view of SMEs. We have taken cases of manufacturing companies, visiting and interviewing 18 SMEs in 10 APEC member economies which show sharp difference in usage of ICT. In order to analyze the digital gap among SMEs, we used 5 variables that are composed of computer hardware, computer software, Internet, readiness of ICT, and performance of ICT adoption, while categorizing the cases into low and high tier based on the national ICT index. From a computer hardware perspective, the high tier (0.66) has almost double the number of PC’s per employee, compared with the low tiers (0.34). This gap can be explained by financial availability of low income and high tariff in the developing economies. In the computer software perspective, the SMEs in the low tier had some restrictive use of computer applications such as financial and accounting management and document management, while those in the high tier enjoyed more diversity in the use of applications such as inventory management, sales management, financial and accounting management, procurement management, CRM, and ERP. In view of the readiness of ICT, the difference in ICT infrastructure and financial status between the low and high tier was far wider than any other variables. As a result of ICT adoption, SMEs benefited in view of learning and growth, internal business processes, customer service, and financial affairs. To effectively bridge the digital divide between the low and high tier, actions such as setting up a secondary market of used computers among cooperating developed and developing countries, developing and diffusing good business applications, and building speedy, low-cost telecommunication infrastructures should be taken.

의료서비스에서 고객충성도에 대한 전환장벽의 조절효과 분석 (The Modifying Effect of Switching Barriers in Customer Loyalties in Medical Services)

  • This study was performed to explore the effect of customer satisfaction and switching barriers on customer royalties in medical services. 900 households, 1% sample were randomly selected from K city located in Kangwon province. Interview survey was performed with structured questionnaire for the entire people, 923 persons who experienced medical service utilization during one year before survey on time, september, 2002. In comparison of switching barriers by sociodemographic characteristics, lower income group and lower educated group showed the higher level of recognition level on availability of changing the service provider significantly. In terms of economic loss as one of switching barriers, the group of over aged 61, the lower income group and the lower educated group felt higher than other groups. Also, the time loss of switching barrier was recognized in 41-60 aged group and employee in service industry highly. For the perceived risk factor as another switching barrier, the high educated group showed the higher recognition level in performance risk and felt higher social risk than other groups. In analysis of customer satisfaction and loyalty levels by switching barrier components, the lower level of availability of changing the service provider and the higher level of recognition for economic and time loss, they showed the higher satisfaction and loyalty levels. In final step, multiple regression analysis showed the positive relationship between customer satisfaction, switching barrier and customer loyalties. Besides, the moderating effect of switching barrier in relationship between customer satisfaction and loyalties was significant and this results suggests that the influence of customer satisfaction to customer loyalties might be weakened in high level of recognition for switching barrier. In conclusion, perceived risk of economic and time loss as switching barrier is an important factor and should be considered in planning of marketing strategy carefully in terms of defensive marketing.

Occupational Health Policies on Risk Assessment in Japan

  • Industrial Safety and Health Law (ISH Law) of Japan requires abnormalities identified in evaluations of worker health and working environments are reported to occupational physicians, and employers are advised of measures to ensure appropriate accommodations in working environments and work procedures. Since the 1980s, notions of a risk assessment and occupational safety and health management system were expected to further prevent industrial accidents. In 2005, ISH Law stipulated workplace risk assessment using the wording "employers shall endeavor." Following the amendment, multiple documents and guidelines for risk assessment for different work procedures were developed. They require ISH Laws to be implemented fully and workplaces to plan and execute measures to reduce risks, ranking them from those addressing potential hazards to those requiring workers to wear protective articles. A governmental survey in 2005 found the performance of risk assessment was 20.4% and common reasons for not implementing risk assessments were lack of adequate personnel or knowledge. ISH Law specifies criminal penalties for both individuals and organizations. Moreover, under the Labor Contract Law promulgated in 2007, employers are obliged to make reasonable efforts to ensure employee health for foreseeable and avoidable risks. Therefore, enterprises neglecting even the non-binding provisions of guidelines are likely to suffer significant business impact if judged to be responsible for industrial accidents or occupational disease. To promote risk assessment, we must strengthen technical, financial, and physical support from public-service organizations, encourage the dissemination of good practices to reduce risks, and consider additional employer incentives, including relaxed mandatory regulations.

싱가폴 집단문화가 봉사정신에 미치는 영향: 다국적기업 직원 사례연구 (Singapore's collectivism's effect on Volunteerism - A case study of MNE employees)

  • 이 연구는 홉스테드의 집단적 문화가 싱가폴 직원의 봉사정신에 미치는 영향 및 개인의 공감능력의 매개효과를 다국적기업 직원들을 대상으로 확인하는데 있었다. 이때까지의 홉스테드 문화연구는 국가별로 많은 연구가 진행 및 분석되었다. 본 연구에서는 이 문화적 차원을 개인적 차원으로 설문화한 Yoo's Cultural Value Scale (CVSCALE)를 기반으로 싱가폴 다국적기업 직원들 200명 대상으로 자기기입식 설문지를 온라인으로 3주동안 수집 총 180 설문지를 수집하여, SPSS 21.0을 통해 통계분석 하였다. 통계적 분석을 통해 싱가폴의 집단문화는 봉사활동에 긍정적 (+)영향을 미친다는 결과와 싱가폴 개인의 공감능력이 집단적문화와 봉사활동을 완전 매개한다는 결과가 도출 되었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 개인의 집단적 문화성향이 봉사활동에 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 점을 검증할 수 있었으며, 아시아에서 개인적 문화성향이 강한 싱가폴에서도 집단적 문화성향과 공감능력이 봉사활동의 선행요인이란 새로운 시사점을 제공하는 것이 의미가 있다고 본다. 또한 개인의 공감능력 훈련 및 교육을 제도화하여, 개인 및 그룹차원의 성과를 향상하도록 제시하였다.

중소 ICT건설기업 조직원의 셀프리더십이 심리적 임파워먼트 통하여 조직시민행동과 조직신뢰에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Employee's Self Leadership of Construction Company on Organization Citizenship Behaviour and Organizational Trust through Psychology Empowerment)

  • This study aims to explore the casual relation between construction company employees' Self-Leadership and two variables: Organization Citizenship Behaviour and Organizational Trust through Psychology Empowerment. To explain in details, this study examines how the independent variable, Self Leadership, with its behavior-focused, natural reward and constructive thought pattern strategies, affects the dependent variable, Organization Citizenship Behavior and Organizational Trust through the intervening variable, Psychology Empowerment. A survey was conducted on current employees of construction companies in metropolitan areas to empirically examine the research model. The result of study hypothesis on Self-Leadership is as follows; first, Self-Leadership showed a positive effect on Psychology Empowerment, Organization Citizenship Behaviour and Organizational Trust. Second, Psychology Empowerment showed a positive effect on Organization Citizenship Behaviour. Third, Psychology Empowerment showed a positive effect on Organizational Trust. The capacity of individuals is critical when it comes to competitiveness of construction companies. When employees willingly participate in building trust within the company, the work place will become more and more constructive; based on trust, efficiency will increase because people from different processes can work together and performance will also improve even when project managers are absent because others could help their role instead, thus driving more efficient human resource management to the company. To conclude, a company's vision can be spread wide and far when their employees engage themselves in Learning Organization with Self Leadership. They will also be satisfied with their work through improving interpersonal relationship at work.

Web-based Personal Dose Management System for Data Recording on Dosimeter Usage: A Case of Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission

  • Modern technology drives the world, increasing performance while reducing labor and time expenses. Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission (TAEC) tracks employee's levels of exposure to radiation sources using dosimeters. According to legal compliance, workers wear dosimeters for three months and one month at the workplace. However, TAEC has problems in tracking, issuing and returning dosimeters because the existing tracking is done manually. The study intended to develop a Personal Dose Management System (PDMS) that processes and manages the data collected by dosimeters for easy and accurate records. During the requirements elicitation process, the study looked at the existing system. PDMS' requirement gathering included document reviews, user interviews, and focused group discussions. Development and testing of the system were implemented by applying the evolutionary prototyping technique. The system provides a login interface for system administrators, radiation officers, and Occupational Exposed Workers. The PDMS grants TAEC Staff access to monitor individual exposed workers, prints individual and institutional reports and manages workers' information. The system reminds the users when to return dosimeters to TAEC, generate reports, and facilitates dispatching and receiving dosimeters effectively. PDMS increases efficiency and effectiveness while minimizing workload, paperwork, and inaccurate records. Therefore, based on the results obtained from the system, it is recommended to use the system to improve dosimeter data management at the institution.

직무적합이 경력만족에 미치는 영향에서 일의 의미와 직무몰입의 이중매개 효과 (The Dual Mediation of Work Meaningfulness and Job Involvement on the Relationship Between Person-job Fit and Career Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 최근 직장인들과 인사담당자들의 관심을 받고 있는 직무적합, 일의의미, 직무몰입, 경력만족이 서로 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 선행연구를 통해서 이들 변인들은 직무적합에서 시작하여 일의의미, 직무몰입을 거쳐 경력만족에 이르는 경로가 논리적으로 타당한 것으로 확인되었으며, 이러한 이중매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 283명의 직장인을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, SPSS 21과 Process Macro를 통하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 직무적합, 일의의미, 직무몰입, 경력만족은 각각 정적인 상관을 보였으며, 직무적합과 경력만족 간의 관계에 대한 일의의미와 직무몰입의 이중매개효과는 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 일의의미와 직무몰입, 경력만족 등의 긍정적 심리변인의 수준을 높여 인적자원의 이탈을 막고, 조직의 지속적인 성과를 위해서 직장인이 자신의 직무가 자신의 특성과 적합하다고 지각할 수 있도록 직무를 설계할 필요가 있다는 것을 의미한다. 연구의 시사점, 한계점 그리고 향후 연구에 대한 제언 등을 결론에 제시하였다.

Key Themes for Multi-Stage Business Analytics Adoption in Organizations

  • Business analytics is a management tool for achieving significant business performance improvements. Many organizations fail to or only partially achieve their business objectives and goals from business analytics. Business analytics adoption is a multi-stage complex activity consisting of evaluation, adoption, and assimilation stages. Several research papers have been published in the field of business analytics, but the research on multi-stage BA adoption is fewer in number. This study contributes to the scant literature on the multi-stage adoption model by identifying the critical themes for evaluation, adoption, and assimilation stages of business analytics. This study uses the thematic content analysis of peer-reviewed published academic papers as a research technique to explore the key themes of business analytics adoption. This study links the critical themes with the popular theoretical foundations: Resource-Based View (RBV), Dynamic Capabilities, Diffusion of Innovations, and Technology-Organizational-Environmental (TOE) framework. The study identifies twelve major factors categorized into three key themes: organizational characteristics, innovation characteristics, and environmental characteristics. The main organizational factors are top management support, organization data environment, centralized analytics structure, perceived cost, employee skills, and data-based decision making culture. The major innovation characteristics are perceived benefits, complexity, and compatibility, and information technology assets. The environmental factors influencing BA adoption stages are competition and industry pressure. A conceptual framework for the multi-stage BA adoption model is proposed in this study. The findings of this study can assist the practicing managers in developing a stage-wise operational strategy for business analytics adoption. Future research can also attempt to validate the conceptual model proposed in this study.

한국 중소기업의 클라우드 컴퓨팅 오피스환경 도입에 따른 확산요인이 업무성과에 미치는 영향 (Cloud Computing Adoption and Job Performance based on Diffusion of Innovation Theory)

  • 본 연구에서는 한국 중소기업 클라우드 컴퓨팅 사용자, 조직구성원들을 대상으로, 혁신확산이론을 토대로 하여 사용자의 개인적 특성을 추가한 확장된 모형으로, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 오피스환경의 확산요인을 마련한 후, 이에 대한 사용자의 지각이 업무성과에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 이를 위해, 중소기업 클라우드 컴퓨팅 오피스환경의 확산요인이 업무성과에 영향을 주는지 분석하고, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 오피스환경 사용자 교육과 지원 서비스에 따른 조절효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인과 업무효용성의 관계를 검증한 결과, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인은 업무효용성에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 업무효용성에 영향을 미치는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인으로는 시스템사용능력 > 시스템의질 > 정보의질 > 조직의인식 > 시스템사용태도의 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인과 업무능률성의 관계를 검증한 결과, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인은 업무능률성에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 업무능률성에 영향을 미치는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인으로는 시스템사용능력 > 시스템의질 > 정보의질 > 시스템사용태도 > 조직의인식의 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인과 업무생산성의 관계를 검증한 결과, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인은 업무생산성에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 업무생산성에 영향을 미치는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인으로는 정보의질 > 시스템사용태도 > 조직의인식 > 시스템의질 > 시스템사용능력의 순으로 나타났다. 넷째, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인이 업무성과에 미치는 영향에 있어서 사용자교육 제공여부 및 전산부서 지원서비스 유무의 조절효과를 검증한 결과, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 확산요인은 사용자교육 제공여부와의 상호작용을 통해 업무성과와 유의한 정(+)의 관계를, 전산부서 지원서비스 유무와의 상호작용을 통해 업무성과와 유의한 정(+)의 관계를 보였다.
