"Uibanghappyeon(醫方合編)" is a large-scale medical formulary with "Samuiilheombang(三意一驗方)" and "Chon-gagugeupbang(村家救急方)" at its core, combined with personal experience of the compiler and various pieces of fragmentary knowledge. This book was brought into existence through the cumulation of numerous folk medicinal remedies and cannot be considered a work of professional expertise. The historic worth of this book in medicine can be found in the fact that it has kept the tradition of empirical medicine based on first sia alive, in fusing the practice of late Joseon(朝鮮) empirical prescriptions, as can be seen in "Samuiilheombang(三意一驗方)", and the practice of empirical medicine, as can be seen in "Chon-gagugeupbang(村家救急方)", together.

This study is aimed at formulating an empirical equation for the across-wind fluctuating moment and spectral density coefficient, which are needed to estimate the across-wind dynamic responses of tall buildings, as a function of the side ratios of buildings. In order to estimate an empirical formula, wind tunnel tests were conducted on aero-elastic models of the rectangular prisms with various aspect and side ratios in turbulent boundary layer flows. In this paper, criteria for the across-wind fluctuating moment and spectral density are briefly discussed and the results are analyzed mainly as a function of the side ratios of the buildings. Finally, empirical formulas for the across-wind fluctuating moment coefficient and spectral density coefficient according to variation of the aspect ratio are proposed.

In this article, we report a new empirical formula for quick calculation of cross sections of (n, α) reactions with 14-15 MeV neutrons. Cross sections are analysed in terms of the compound nucleus model. A systematic trend for 14-15 MeV neutrons is found in the variation of (n, α) reaction cross sections with the parameters (N - Z + 1), (E_n + Q)^0.5 and N/Z. The empirical relation between the cross sections and these parameters has been obtained, which give fairly good fits with the experimental data. We have also investigated the odd-even effects on (n, α) cross sections considering binding energy systematic of the shell model. The present formula is very useful in predicting of the (n, α) cross sections, where the measurements are not available as well as in testing new experimental data.

We study on selecting the kernel weighting function in smoothing moment conditions for dependent processes. For hypothesis testing in Generalized Method of Moments or Generalized Empirical Likelihood context, we find that smoothing moment conditions by Bartlett kernel delivers smallest size distortions based on empirical Edgeworth expansions of the long-run variance estimator.

In the view point of accomplishing salesperson's management effectively, this study aims to find the relationship between salesperson's performance factors(Motivation, Role Perception, Ability) and turnover intention. The lowering of the turnover rate through this finding can reduce sales cost or marketing cost including the salesperson's education/training cost. Here, this study is researched empirically under the following hypothesis ; salesperson's turnover intention is affected by the performance factors originally This empirical research is based on theoritical background by Walker, Churchill, Ford and Jackofsky.

This study is to comprehend indie fashion which pursues the realization of self-identity, values, freedom and a creation that deviates from conventional cultural flow. This study also aims to understand the definition and characteristics of indie fashion in Korean culture. A rigorous study on indie fashion has not yet been done; therefore, this study was conducted through both a literature study and empirical study. The empirical study asked individuals who engage in indie fashion to provide opinions on the definition and characteristics of indie fashion. The results are as follow. First, indie fashion does not impose conformity upon an individual nor does it pursue differentiation. Second, indie fashion based on self-identity is characterized by an individual's consistent and unchanging style. Third, images (or styles of indie fashion) cannot be uniformly defined as styles different from one individual to another. Fourth, indie fashion can be defined as when an individual perceives themselves as pursuing indie spirit and its attitude. Next was an empirical study that showed in what position indie fashion is and who the fashion leader is in indie fashion. People who enjoy indie fashion said that (regarding indie fashion) it exists independent from the flow of trends as it regards personal values and identity as important.

본 연구는 선행연구들에서 주로 설문조사를 통해 선정된 건설기업의 KPI들이 실제로도 그 실효성이 있는 것인지를 확인하고, 이 과정에서 중소건설기업의 경쟁력을 높이기 위해 해결해야 할 문제점들이 무엇인지 파악하기 위해 실증자료를 이용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 중소건설기업은 미래성장을 위한 투자가 상대적으로 부족하며 경쟁력을 높이기 위해서는 이를 보완해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 선행연구들에서 설문조사에 의한 문헌적인 방법을 통해 선정한 주요 KPI의 대부분이 실증적 자료를 이용한 분석을 통해서도 실효성이 있는 성과평가지표라는 점이 확인되었다. 본 연구는 중소건설기업의 경쟁력 강화 방안과 기존 선행연구들에서 설문조사를 통해 문헌적으로 도출된 건설기업 경영성과지표의 실효성에 대하여 실증분석을 통해 연구를 수행 했다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

공연예술의 창의적 사고와 융복합적 다양성은 장르별 새로운 소통을 전제로 경험적 가치실현의 정착을 추구한다. 이러한 새로운 가치와 소통은 또 다른 의미의 시도와 함께 집단지성의 유형을 창조하며 대중의 개체소통과 수평적 사고를 토대로 가능한 것이다. 따라서 21세기 융복합 공연예술의 경험적 가치와 소통은 새로운 유형과 분석을 통해 가능하고 아울러 예술가의 수평적 창작구조로 이해하였다. 연구결과. 첫째, '융복합'의 올바른 가치개념은 장르별 예술가들의 경험적 사고능력에 따른 경험적 소통으로 인식되었다. 둘째, 탈장르화와 협업경향은 지적능력에 따른 협력과 장르별 수평적 소통인식에 의한다. 셋째, 협업에서 대중의 개체화된 소통능력과 보편적 소통인식이 전제되어야 하고 나아가 집단지성의 경험적 정의에 인식을 함께 해야 할 것이다. 결국 융복합적 공연예술의 경험적 가치와 소통은 집단지성의 실험적 창조를 가능케 하고, 관계구조는 공연예술의 융복합적 해석과 표현의 유의미한 전이로 확장됨을 결론지었다.

The empirical correlations for the prediction of breakup length of liquid jet in uniform cross flow are reviewed and classified in this study. The breakup length of liquid jets in cross flow was normally discussed in terms of the distances from the nozzle exit to the column breakup location in the x and y directions, called as column fracture distance and column fracture height, respectively. The empirical correlations for the prediction of column fracture distance can be classified as constant form, momentum flux ratio form, Weber number form and other parameter form, respectively. In addition, the empirical correlations for the prediction of column fracture height can be grouped as momentum flux ratio form, Weber number form and other parameter form, respectively. It can be summarized that the breakup length of liquid jet in a cross flow is a basically function of the liquid to air momentum flux ratio. However, Weber number, liquid-to-air viscosity ratio and density ratio, Reynolds number or Ohnesorge number were incorporated in the empirical correlations depending on the investigators. It is clear that there exist the remarkable discrepancies of predicted values by the existing correlations even though many correlations have the same functional form. The possible reasons for discrepancies can be summarized as the different experimental conditions including jet operating condition and nozzle geometry, measurement and image processing techniques introduced in the experiment, difficulties in defining the breakup location etc. The evaluation of the existing empirical correlations for the prediction of breakup length of liquid jet in a uniform cross flow is required.
