간호사의 피로도, 감정노동, 직무착근도가 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Fatigue, Emotional Labor and Job Embeddedness on Nurses Turnover Intention)

  • Objectives : This study investigated the fatigue, emotional labor and job embeddedness factors influencing the turnover intention of clinical nurses. Methods : A survey was conducted with 479 hospital nurses. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients. and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results : The mean scores fatigue, emotional labor, job embeddedness. and turnover intention were $3.06{\pm}0.71$, $3.43{\pm}0.60$, $2.94{\pm}0.47$, and $3.39{\pm}0.62$, respectively. Turnover intention was positively correlated with fatigue and emotional labor, but negatively correlated with job embeddedness. Multiple regression analysis showed that the factors affecting turnover intention were job embeddedness, emotional labor, gender, and with studying. Conclusions : The results indicate that emotional labor and job embeddedness are very important factors affecting nurses turnover intention. Therefore nurse managers should decrease nurses emotional labor and maximize their job embeddedness by developing various emotional sensitivity and support programs.

초등학교 영양사의 감성지능이 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of Dietitians in Elementary Schools)

  • 본 연구는 본 연구는 영양사의 감성지능이 직무 만족과 조직 몰입에 미치는 영향 요인으로 감성지능과 직무만족, 그리고 조직몰입과의 관계를 파악하기 위해 상관관계분석을 실시하였으며, 영양사들의 감성지능이 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였으며 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 감성지능은 직무만족 및 조직몰입과 통계적으로 유의미한 정적 상관관계를 보였으며, 특히 정서지각과 감성지능이 상관계수가 0.774로 가장 높았으며, 정서관리와 조직몰입이 상관계수가 0.254로 가장 낮았다. 영양사들의 감성지능이 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴본 결과로 영양사들은 정서적 사고촉진과 정서관리가 높을수록 직무만족이 높았으며 영양사들은 정서적 사고촉진이 높을수록 조직몰입이 높음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 향후 영양사의 직무 만족과 조직 몰입을 증진시키기 위해 영양사의 감성적 지능관련 요소들의 효과적 조절을 위한 감성지능 증진 프로그램의 개발이 필요하다고 사료된다.

Emotional Intelligence Research Trends and Future Research Directions in Korean Journals

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study is to analyze the characteristics of emotional intelligence and the variables related to emotional intelligence in a comprehensive manner. In addition, the study intends to present research trends and future research directions of emotional intelligence in a Korean context by analyzing the effects of emotional intelligence and its mechanisms. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: 77 KCI listed studies were selected for the analysis, and the research perspective of emotional intelligence, measurement instruments, empirical research and research methods were analyzed. In addition, research directions were suggested based on the analysis results. Results: The results of the analysis were as follows: First, previous researchers used the ability model of emotional intelligence the most. Second, Previous studies tended to focus on behavioral factors as dependent variables affected by emotional intelligence, in addition to attitudes, affection. Third, there were few studies on the antecedents of emotional intelligence, however, most studies dealt with the consequences of emotional intelligence. Fourth, few studies dealt with moderators between emotional intelligence and dependent variables. Fifth, on the research type, most studies were quantitative studies, however, a few of them were qualitative studies (Literature review, in-depth interview). Sixth, with regard to the analysis level, almost all studies were conducted on the individual level of emotional intelligence, and most studies featured a cross-sectional research design (longitudinal research design was rare). Conclusion: First, from the perspective of emotional intelligence, additional research should be focused on not only the ability model of emotional intelligence but also on the trait model or the mixed model in the future. Second, since emotional intelligence is a multidimensional construct, it is necessary to study the profile of emotional intelligence by employing people-centered as well as variable-centered methods. Third, with regard to empirical studies, additional research is needed with respect to not only the emotional intelligence of the subordinate, but also the emotional intelligence of the supervisor (leader) and the emotional intelligence of the group. Fourth, it is necessary to actively utilize not only cross-sectional design but also longitudinal design, and qualitative research and meta-analysis methods should also be adopted.

감정 상태에 따른 컴패니언 로봇의 인터랙션 디자인 : 공감 인터랙션을 중심으로 (A Study on Interaction Design of Companion Robots Based on Emotional State)

  • 최근 핵가족화, 개인화 등과 같은 사회구조 변화로 개인 및 사회적 문제가 대두되고 있으며, 부정적 감정 증폭으로 인해 다양한 문제의 원인이 되기도 한다. 과거에 심리적 안정감을 주는 가족 구성원의 부재는 현대인의 감정적 어려움의 대표적인 원인으로 꼽을 수 있다. 이러한 개인 및 사회적 문제를 일상생활에서 사용자와 교감하는 컴패니언 로봇의 공감 인터랙션을 통해 해결하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 감성 로봇 프로토타입 제작을 통해 정교한 공감 인터랙션 디자인을 하였으며, 실험을 통해 연구를 진행하였다. 그 결과로 감성 로봇의 공감 인터랙션에 얼굴 인터랙션이 크게 영향을 미치며, 부정 감성에서 인터랙션이 로봇의 공감도를 높이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 결과적으로 본 연구는 감성 로봇을 제작하여 더욱 정교한 인터랙션을 구현하였다는 점과, 실험 결과를 바탕으로 로봇의 공감 인터랙션 디자인 가이드라인을 제시하였다는 점에서 이론적 및 실용적 의의가 있다.

감정노동에 따른 공항서비스 직원의 심리적 메커니즘에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Airline Service Employees' Psychological Mechanism according to the Emotional Labor)

  • Purpose - Service employees who work at airline check-in counters in airport are typically employed to undergo emotional labor. Emotional labor of airport service employees is an important managerial issue that must be solved. This study attempts to examine the underlying mechanism of emotional labor on turnover intention. It focuses on the consequences of emotional labor of service employees. The purpose of this study is to examine and empirically test how the two-types of emotional labor(deep-acting & surface-acting) of service employees differently affect the level of their job satisfaction and job stress. It also investigates the relationship between job satisfaction, job stress, and turnover intention. For this purpose, first, this study identified the structural relationship between emotional labor, job satisfaction, job stress, and turnover intention. Second, it investigated the mediating effects of job satisfaction between deep-acting and turnover intention. Research design, data, and methodology - To empirically test these structural relationships among research variables, data were collected by a interview from service manager of domestic airline companies and survey from 179 service employees who are working at single domestic airline check-in counters in airports in Korea using a self-rating questionnaire with total 19 items dealing with emotional labor, job satisfaction, job stress, and turnover intention. To test the research hypotheses, collected data were analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structure equation model (SEM). Results - This study obtains meaningful research results. The results from this study are as follows. First, deep-acting has a positive effect on job satisfaction, whereas, deep-acting has a negative effect on job satisfaction. Second, surface-acting has a positive effect on job stress, whereas, the effects of surface-acting on job satisfaction did not show statistically significant result. Also, job satisfaction has partial mediating roles to the relationship between deep-acting and turnover intention. Conclusions - Based on the results of this empirical study, emotional labor of service employees is one of the key factors influencing their job satisfaction and job stress. In particular, deep-acting is the important factor in emotional labor to increase job satisfaction and reduce job stress. Finally, theoretical, managerial implications, and research limitations are mentioned in discussion parts.

인칭 대명사 '나'와 '너'의 정서적 평가 차이 (The Difference of Emotional Evaluation for Personal Pronoun 'I' and 'You')

  • 인칭 대명사의 '나'와 '너'가 긍정과 부정의 정서적 평가에 미치는 효과를 세 개의 실험에서 관찰하였다. 실험 1은 인칭 대명사를 점화하여 정서 단어의 반응이 어휘판단과제에 작용하는 과정을 SOA 1000ms에서 관찰하였다. 인칭 대명사와 정서 단어의 주효과만 관찰되었다. 실험 2는 SOA 1000ms에서 두 변인의 효과를 명명과제를 적용하여 관찰하였다. 변인들의 어떤 효과도 관찰되지 않았다. 실험 3은 SOA 500ms에서 명명과제를 적용하였다. 그 결과 두 변인의 상호작용이 관찰되었다. 세 실험은 인칭 대명사 '나'와 '너'의 평가적 표상이 과제의 특성에 따라 매우 역동적일 가능성을 보였다. 이들 결과를 사회 인지이론으로 논의하였다.

IAPS 자극에 대한 한국 대학생의 정서 평가 (Emotional Evaluation about IAPS in Korean University Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 IAPS 자극에 대한 한국인의 정서 반응을 측정하여 평가하는데 있다. 특히 Lang 등(2005)이 제작한 956장의 IAPS 그림자극 전체에 대한 반응을 측정하여 IAPS 자극에 대한 한국인 정서 반응의 평가 척도를 작성하였다. 또한 IAPS 자극에 대한 한국인의 평가 결과를 Lang 등(2005)이 제시한 미국인의 평가 결과와 비교함으로써 두 집단 간 차이를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 결과, IAPS 자극에 대한 각성과 정서가 반응 모두에서 한국인과 미국인은 서로 높은 상관을 보였다. 그러나 세부적인 측면에서 집단 간 차이가 뚜렷하게 드러났는데, 한국인이 미국인에 비해 IAPS 자극에 대해 더 높은 각성 반응과 덜 극단적인 정서반응을 보였다. 또한 성별에 따른 차이를 비교한 결과, 두 나라 모두 여성이 남성에 비해 높은 각성 반응을 보였다는 점은 일치했지만, 정서가 반응에 있어서는 한국 여성은 부정적으로, 미국 여성은 극단적으로 반응했다. 이 연구 결과는 정서 반응에 있어서 문화와 성별에 따른 차이가 존재함을 보여주는 것으로서 IAPS 자극을 활용한 연구에서 이 요인들을 고려해야 함을 시사한다.

의료 종사자의 감정노동이 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향: 설립형태와 직종의 조절효과 (Influence of Emotional Labor on the Job Stress of the Contact Department in a General Hospital Moderation Analysis of Foundation and Occupation)

  • Objectives : The rapidly changing consumer-centric and customer-oriented nature of the medical environment results in significant cognitive load. We aimed to clarify the situation of emotional labor and job stress among hospital employees and seek policies and hospital management for employees' emotions. Methods : The study was conducted through a questionnaire about emotional labor and job stress among 554 individuals working in Seoul, in 9 national, public, and private hospitals. Results : The results of the emotional labor and job stress questionnaire showed statistically significant differences in surface behavior and job stress; both had higher values in employees from the private hospitals than employees from public hospitals. Conclusions : This study found that the stress of emotional labor is a serious problem in government medical institutions. In addition, these institutions need to provide internal customer satisfaction through the hospital ombudsman and harmonize work and healing programs by including plans for improvement.

  • The objective of the current research study is to examine those elements/factors that can reduce silence so that organizations can become more efficient, innovative, and adaptable by sharing knowledge and work-related problems. The purpose behind conducting this research was to explore the effects of emotional intelligence on silent behavior. The study also focuses on other individual negative aspects that can increase counterproductive behavior like silence and examines the effects of emotional intelligence on silence through moral disengagement. Data was collected from 400 employees using stratified sampling to ensure adequate representation of males and females. Data was collected from nurses and young doctors using the adopted measurement scale through a self-administered questionnaire. Since the sample included nursing staff and they usually are not well versed in English, the instrument was translated into Urdu. Data were analyzed using SEM to assess the direct and indirect effects of EI on employee silence. The result indicates that emotional intelligence has a positive impact on employee silence and moral disengagement. In contradiction to theory, the findings suggest that people with high emotional intelligence tend to get morally disengaged. As a result, they will remain silent and withhold information regarding work-related issues and problems.
