Causal relationship among quality factors, emotional responses, and satisfaction of school food service in Henan province, China

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: School food service has played an important role in promoting the health and physical condition of students by providing students with a balanced and nutritious diet. Therefore, boosting the quality of school food service and improving the students' satisfaction is critical. For this purpose, this study examined the structural causal relationship among the quality of school food service factors, emotional responses, and satisfaction in China. SUBJECTS/METHODS: This study was conducted with 4th-6th-grade students from 6 junior high schools in Henan province of China, with 590 questionnaire responses (87.3%) collected and statistically analyzed. RESULTS: The school food service quality factors (including menu management, dietary education, facilities management, price and food distribution management, and personal hygiene during meals) must be enhanced to boost the students' satisfaction. In addition, the study used questionnaire survey data to validate the full mediation of students' emotional responses between school food service quality factors and student satisfaction. CONCLUSIONS: Students' emotions also play an important role in influencing the quality of school food service, all of which affect the emotional responses of students. Therefore, students' positive emotions are an important indicator for improving the quality of school food service. A national support policy is necessary for the ongoing maintenance and development of various programs that drive students' satisfaction and promote the adoption of education guidelines for school food service in China.

감정노동을 수행하는 임상간호사의 개인적 안녕에 대한 경로모형 (Psychosocial Well-Being of Clinical Nurses Performing Emotional Labor: A Path Analytic Model Approach)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the influence of emotional expressivity, emotional intelligence, affectivity, job autonomy, social support, and emotional labor on clinical nurses' individual well-being and to provide guidelines for interventions and strategies for its improvement. Methods: The sample consisted of 207 nurses recruited from a general hospital in Korea. The participants completed a structured self-report questionnaire comprising measures of emotional expressivity, emotional intelligence, positive affectivity, negative affectivity, job autonomy, supervisor support, coworker support, deep acting, surface acting, emotional exhaustion, and job satisfaction. Data were analyzed using SPSS statistics 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. Results: The final model was a good fit for the data based on the model fit indices. In the path analysis, surface acting, negative affectivity, supervisor support, and coworker support had statistically significant effects on emotional exhaustion, explaining 29.0% of the variance. Deep acting, emotional exhaustion, positive affectivity, and emotional intelligence had statistically significant effects on job satisfaction, explaining 43.0% of the variance. Conclusion: Effective strategies to improve clinical nurses' individual well-being should focus on surface acting, deep acting, affectivity, social support, and emotional intelligence. The results of this study can be utilized as base data to manage emotional labor and improve clinical nurses' individual well-being.

간호사 감정노동의 선행 및 결과 요인을 포함한 모형구축 (Structural equation modeling on nurses' emotional labor including antecedents and consequences)

  • 본 연구는 Morris과 Feldman (1997)의 모형을 기반으로 선행요인과 결과를 포괄하는 감정노동 모형을 구축하고 간호사를 대상으로 이를 검증하였다. 자가보고식 설문지를 이용한 조사연구로서 상급종합병원 또는 종합병원에 근무하는 247명의 간호사를 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 모형 적합성 분석 결과 표준카이자승치 2.31, 표준적합지수.94, 비교적합지수.97, 근사원소평균자승잔차.07 등으로 나타나 설정한 모형이 간호사의 감정노동을 설명하는데 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 구조모형의 경로분석 결과, 직무자율성과 조직지원은 감정노동에 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 감정노동은 감정적 소진에는 유의한 정적 영향을, 직무만족과 조직몰입에는 유의한 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 간호사의 직무특성과 조직의 지원은 감정노동을 매개로 하여 결과변수인 감정적 소진과 직무만족, 그리고 조직몰입에 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

비서의 감정노동, 직무만족, 이직의도와 회복탄력성간의 관련성에 대한 연구 (The Study on the Relationships of Emotional Labor, Job Satisfaction, Turnover Intention, and Resilience)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 비서가 지각하는 감정노동인 표면행위, 내면행위와 직무만족, 이직의도와의 관계를 파악하고 이들 관계에 회복탄력성이 미치는 조절효과를 밝혀보고자 한다. 이를 위해 비서직을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 실증분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 감정노동의 표면행위는 이직의도에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 감정노동의 내면행위는 이직의도에 부적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 셋째. 감정노동의 표면행위는 직무만족에 부적으로 유의한 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째. 감정노동의 내면행위는 직무만족에 정적으로 유의한 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째. 감정노동의 내면행위와 직무만족사이에 회복탄력성의 조절효과가 유의하게 나타났다. 본 연구의 실증분석결과를 통하여 비서직의 감정노동, 회복탄력성, 이직의도, 직무만족의 관계를 인식하고 회복탄력성을 높일 수 있는 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다는데 의미가 있다.

Emotional Evaluation about Physico-chemistry Laboratory Equipment's Exterior Design

  • Laboratory equipment will continue to be developed and created as long as experiments continue. Up until now, the designs have been focused on the functional role; successfully process the study purpose. However, nowadays, the requirements of providing emotional satisfaction of the design, has increased. Even so, the users are normally limited by specific groups and investments on these designs have been neglected due to small annual production by the small market. Through this study, we have conducted an emotional evaluation on Temperature and Humidity Chamber's (TH Chamber) exterior shape. First of all, we extracted emotional words and placed them in categories that represent these emotions and conducted an emotional evaluation on four typical TH chamber models. They were selected based on its door lock type and control box type. The result showed that the 'fixed type' of control box and the 'handle type' of door lock were most favorable by the users, satisfying the five representative emotions; 'Attractiveness', 'Classiness', 'Comfortableness', 'Pleasant' and 'Satisfaction in Usability'. Particularly, all 4 emotional words in the 'Satisfaction in Usability' category recorded over 3.65. This indicates that Satisfaction in Usability is relatively an important category when expressing laboratory equipment. The result of this research is expected to be used as a basic data to find a way of right approach in laboratory equipment design.

간호대학생의 봉사활동, 감성지능, 전공만족도 관계 (Relationships among Volunteer Activities, Emotional Intelligence and Major Satisfaction of Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 봉사활동, 감성지능, 전공만족도 관계를 파악하기 위한 것이다. 본 연구는 서술적 조사연구로, 일 개 대학의 간호대학생 252명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료의 수집은 자가보고형 설문지를 이용하였고, 수집된 자료들에 대하여 기술통계, 빈도분석, t-검정, 일원분산분석, 상관분석, 가변수를 이용한 다중회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 연구결과 전체 대상자 중 봉사활동 경험이 있는 학생은 71.8%였다. 전체대상자의 감성지능 정도는 7점 만점에 평균 4.84점이며 전공만족도는 5점 만점에 3.87점으로 나타나 각각 중간수준을 상회하였다. 봉사활동 태도, 감성지능, 전공만족도는 통계적으로 유의한 순상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다, 봉사활동태도와 감성지능 (r=0.329), 봉사활동태도와 전공만족도(r=0.271), 감성지능과 전공만족도(r=0.525)는 유의수준 0.01에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 전공만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 학년, 대학생활만족도, 감성지능 등이 있으며 이들 요인의 설명력은 41.6%였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 간호대학생의 전공만족도를 향상시키기 위해 대학생활만족도, 감성지능을 증가시킬 수 있는 다양한 전략이 필요함을 확인하였다.

한부모 가정의 청소년이 지각한 부모양육태도 및 정서적 문제가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Perceived Parenting Attitudes and Emotional Problems on Life Satisfaction among Adolescents in Single Parent Families)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose measure for the effects of perceived parenting attitudes and emotional problems on life satisfaction among adolescents in single parent families with the parent resource perspective. The study consisted of 230 first grade middle school students from single parent (living with either mother or father only) families in the 4th year panel (2013) of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS), National Youth Policy Institute (NYPI). All statistical data analyses were performed using SPSS version 21.0. The findings of this study are as follows. First, lower levels of depression and aggression were found among adolescents who perceived parenting attitude as more affectionate. On the contrary, higher levels of depression and aggression were detected among adolescents who perceived parenting attitude as more intrusiveness. The more the inconsistent parenting practices perceived by adolescents, the higher the degree of depression. Second, a higher level of life satisfaction was found among adolescent who were more likely to perceive positive parenting attitudes including monitoring, affection and reasoning. However, there was no significant correlation between negative parenting behavior and life satisfaction. Third, a lower level of life satisfaction was observed among adolescent who were more likely to perceive emotional problems such as depression, aggression and social withdrawal. Fourth, according to the analysis on the effects of parenting attitudes and emotional problems on life satisfaction, affection parenting of all positive parenting styles and depression among emotional problems had an impact on life satisfaction. The more affectionate a parent is with his/her children in parenting, the lower the degree of depression in adolescents, and the lower degree of depression in adolescents, the higher degree of life satisfaction was found among adolescents from single parent households.

내현적 자기애 특성이 대인관계 만족도에 미치는 영향: 정서표현양가성의 매개효과 (The Influence of Covert Narcissistic Tendency on Interpersonal Satisfaction: The Mediating Effect of Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness)

  • 본 연구는 20대 성인의 내현적 자기애 성향과 대인관계 만족도 사이에서 정서표현양가성이 매개역할을 하는지 확인하였다. 이를 위해 20대 성인 남녀 194명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였다. 그 결과, 내현적 자기애와 대인관계 만족도의 관계에서 정서표현양가성이 매개하는 것을 확인하였다. 관계적 특징에 따라 나누면, 윗사람을 제외하고 연인/배우자와 친구/동료 정서표현양가성이 내현적 자기애와 대인관계 만족도 사이를 매개하였다. 본 연구는 대인관계 만족감이 낮은 내현적 자기애자를 위한 개입 방향과 한계점 및 추후 연구에 대해 논의하였다.

시설아동의 사회적 능력에 관한 변인 연구: 정서지능과 학교생활만족도를 중심으로 (Factors related to Institutional Children's Social Competence)

  • This study examined effects of emotional intelligence and satisfaction of school life on the social competence of institutional children. Data were collected from institutional children of 300 10-12 year old and questionnaire measures were employed. Data were analyzed by t-test, pearson's correlation and multiple regression analyses. Relationships were found between emotional intelligence and social competence as well as satisfaction of school life and social competence. Components of emotional intelligence and satisfaction of school life that predicted social competence were emotional facilitation of thinking and personal relationship between friends. Degree of personal relationship between friends was the most powerful predictor of institutional children's social competence.

네티즌의 아바타 소비에서의 자기고양 정서경험 -민속지적 면접을 이용하여 (Netizen's Self-Enhancing Emotional Experiences in Avatar Consumption - Using Ethnographic Interviews)

  • It is necessary to understand netizen's emotional experiences in avatar consumption. We studied the emotional experience through ethnographic interviews with six informants. In this study, we used the descriptive questions, structural questions, and comparative questions. Netizen's self-enhancing emotional experience were divided into two emotional experiences: emotional experiences in one's world and emotional experiences in relationship with others. First, emotional experience in one's world included self-satisfaction, releasing stress, catharsis, immersion, desire of change, and sense of achievement. Second, emotional experiences in relationship with others were divided into self-enhancing emotional experiences and self-humbling emotional experience. Self-enhancing emotional experiences included the relative satisfaction, the desire of showing off/distinction, and the desire of conformity. Self-humbling emotional experience included the feeling of inferiority.
