백화점 노동자의 감정노동과 직장생활 만족도 : 직무압박감의 매개효과 (Emotional Labor and Work Life Satisfaction of Department Store Workers : Mediating Effect of Job Oppression)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to test the prescribed mediating effect of a sense of job oppression by considering the relationship between emotional labor and work satisfaction. Methods: This study was carried out using the data published in 2016 by the Korea Labor & Society Institute in An Investigation of Quality of Life and the Working Environment in the Service Industry. The data were collected from 638 workers at department stores. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression with Baron and Kenny steps for mediation. Results: After investigating the mediating effect of a sense of job oppression in the relationship between emotional labor and work satisfaction, it was confirmed that the effect was partially meaningful. It was also determined that the greater the intensity of their emotional labor was, the lower was their satisfaction with their working life. Additionally, the workers felt that the greater their sense of job oppression, the lower was their sense of satisfaction with work. Conclusions: In order to increase work satisfaction, it is required for guidelines for reducing job oppression and the intensity of emotional labor to be proposed or established.

  • The objective of the current research study is to examine those elements/factors that can reduce silence so that organizations can become more efficient, innovative, and adaptable by sharing knowledge and work-related problems. The purpose behind conducting this research was to explore the effects of emotional intelligence on silent behavior. The study also focuses on other individual negative aspects that can increase counterproductive behavior like silence and examines the effects of emotional intelligence on silence through moral disengagement. Data was collected from 400 employees using stratified sampling to ensure adequate representation of males and females. Data was collected from nurses and young doctors using the adopted measurement scale through a self-administered questionnaire. Since the sample included nursing staff and they usually are not well versed in English, the instrument was translated into Urdu. Data were analyzed using SEM to assess the direct and indirect effects of EI on employee silence. The result indicates that emotional intelligence has a positive impact on employee silence and moral disengagement. In contradiction to theory, the findings suggest that people with high emotional intelligence tend to get morally disengaged. As a result, they will remain silent and withhold information regarding work-related issues and problems.

  • Various studies have been conducted from the past to the present because stock price forecasts provide stability in the national economy and huge profits to investors. Recently, there have been many studies that suggest stock price prediction models using various input data such as macroeconomic indicators and emotional analysis. However, since each study was conducted individually, it is difficult to objectively compare each method, and studies on their impact on stock price prediction are still insufficient. In this paper, the effect of input data currently mainly used on the stock price is evaluated through the predicted value of the deep learning model and the error rate of the actual stock price. In addition, unlike most papers in emotional analysis, emotional analysis using the news body was conducted, and a method of supplementing the results of each emotional analysis is proposed through three emotional analysis models. Through experiments predicting Microsoft's revised closing price, the results of emotional analysis were found to be the most important factor in stock price prediction. Especially, when all of input data is used, error rate of ensembled sentiment analysis model is reduced by 58% compared to the baseline.

유아의 정서능력과 놀이행동 간의 관계 (The Relationships Between Children's Emotional Competence and Play Behavior)

  • The purposes of this study were to assess children's emotional competence, to examine whether there was a difference in children's emotional competence according to their gender, and to investigate the relationship between children's emotional competence and their play behavior. The subjects of this study were 104 four-year-old children(56 boys, 48 girls). Collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation and Pearson's correlation. The results were as follows : First, there was meaningful correlation among the emotional competence measured by teacher, the understanding and expression of emotion and the emotional regulation measured by mother. Second, there was difference in children's emotional competence according to gender. Specifically, girls showed better competence in the socio-behavioral emotional competence and the understanding and expression of emotion than boys. Third, the dramatic play and the group play had some meaningful correlation with the emotional competence measured by teacher and the understanding and expression of emotion measured by mother.

어린이집원장의 감성리더십이 보육교사의 감성지능과 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Childcare Center Director's Emotional Leadership on Childcare Teachers' Emotional Intelligence and Quality of Life)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 어린이집원장의 감성리더십이 보육교사의 감성지능과 보육교사의 삶의 질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위함이다. 이를 위하여 K시와 J도에 소재한 어린이집에 재직 중인 교사 277명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구를 위해 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 20.0을 이용하여 빈도분석과 기술통계, Pearson 적률상관분석, 중다회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 이에 따른 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어린이집 원장의 감성리더십 전체는 감성지능 전체 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있으며 보육교사의 감성지능 전체에 7.2%의 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어린이집원장의 감성리더십 전체는 삶의 질 전체 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있으며 보육교사의 삶의 질 전체에 9.9%의 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 어린이집원장의 감성리더십과 보육교사의 감성지능을 위하여 보육교사의 삶의 질을 높일 수 있는 정책적 방안을 마련하는데 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

간호대학신입생의 정서인식, 정서표현, 정서표현양면성이 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Emotional Awareness, Emotional Expressiveness, and Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness on College Student Adjustment in Freshman Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학신입생의 정서인식, 정서표현, 정서표현양면성과 대학생활적응을 확인하고 대학생활 적응에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 수행되었다. 연구대상은 4년제 대학 2곳에 재학 중인 간호학과 신입생 159명이었고, 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 2012년 5월 20일부터 6월10일까지 자료조사를 실시하였다. 대학생활적응은 정서주의와 정서명명과는 유의미한 양의 상관관계를 보였고, 긍정표현에 대한 양면성과 부정표현에 대한 양면성과는 유의미한 음의 상관관계를 나타냈다. 대학생활적응에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 정서주의였으며, 정서주의, 긍정표현에 대한 양면성, 부정표현에 대한 양면성, 정서명명은 대학생활 적응에 대해 31.8%의 설명력을 나타내었다. 간호대학신입생의 대학생활적응 향상을 위해서 정서인식 및 정서표현양면성을 돕는 교육 프로그램의 개발이 필요하다.

감정부조화와 내재적 동기간의 관계: 고객 콜센터 기혼 여성들의 일-가정 갈등을 중심으로 (The Relationship between Emotional Dissonance and Intrinsic Motivation: Focusing on Work-Family Conflict)

  • Purpose - The quality of customer service has been importantly considered as a way of retaining current customers. Recent development of service industry which based on Information & Communication Technology allows firms to utilize different employees for their businesses. Although it is regarded as important to consider emotional labor of employees working for customers in ICT service industry, little was known the role of emotional dissonance. Thus, current paper focused on emotional labor and tried to identify the factors which influence on employees' intrinsic motivation for married women working in call centers. This study highlighted the influence of the emotional dissonance on the employees' intrinsic motivation, and the moderating influences of work-family conflict on the relationship between emotional dissonance and intrinsic motivation. Research design, data, and methodology - The research samples were gathered from seven call centers of Korean financial institutions located in South Korea. The model of emotional dissonance was developed, which emphasizes the influence of emotional dissonance as a predictor on intrinsic motivation, and then the other model was also introduced to explain how employees' intrinsic motivation were aggravated by work-family conflict. To examine these research models, samples were collected from 468 married women working in call centers of Korean financial institutions located in Seoul. A total of 468 samples were used in the analysis after deleting data of missing value. SPSS 22.0 were utilized for data analysis. Results - The results of current study showed that emotional dissonance is negatively related to intrinsic motivation, and there are significant differences in work-family conflict. Those results generally support the proposed hypotheses. Conclusions - These results suggest that the relationship of intrinsic motivation of married women working in call center for customers' service were influenced by emotional dissonance, which outcomes were interacted not by face-to-face contact with their customers, but by emotional contacts. Managerially, these findings suggest the one who emphasize the quality of customer's service of call center need to introduce the programs for minimizing both of emotional dissonance and work-family conflict. These findings also suggest that the service quality via intrinsic motivation of married women working in call center is hard to be accomplished without considering the factors of emotional dissonance and work-family conflict.

일부 치과위생사의 감정노동과 직무소진과의 관련성: 직무스트레스의 매개효과를 중심으로 (Relationship between emotional labor and burnout among dental hygienists)

  • Objectives: The purposes of this study is to examine the relationship between emotional labor and burnout among dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 247 dental hygienists from September 4 to October 9, 2014. The questionnaire consisted of emotional labor, job burnout, and job stress. Emotional labor included frequency of emotional expression, compliance with emotional regulation, emotional diversity, and emotional dissonance by the instrument pf Morris and Feldman. Job burnout was adopted from Maslach burnout inventory(MBI). Job stress was adpoted from instrument of Chang. Except 13 incomplete answers, 234 data were analyzed by AMOS 18.0 and SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The emotional labor has a significant positive relation to the job burnout. There was a statistical significance between emotional labor and job stress. Job stress had a positive relation to job burnout. Job stress had a mediating effect between emotional labor and job burnout. Emotional labor had a direct effect on the job burnout. Job stress also had a mediating effect on job burnout. Conclusions: It is necessary to improve working environment that can enhance emotional balance and to develop job stress management program.

The Predictability of Emotional Labor Dimensions on Job Stress, Customer Orientation, and Job Satisfaction

  • In this study, two representative measures in the job-focused approach and the employee-focused approach of emotional labor are explored to examine dimensionality and the predictability of each emotional labor measure on key consequences that include job stress, customer orientation, and job satisfaction. Data obtained from 193 department store apparel saleswomen were submitted for analysis. The results show that the emotional dissonance and emotional effort of the Kruml and Geddes measure are good predictors for job stress, customer orientation, and job satisfaction. In a test of the Davies measure, job stress is predicted by emotional dissonance and frequency while customer orientation is predicted by duration, variety, and the frequency of emotional expression in jobs. Duration is also a key predictor for job satisfaction. The result confirm the dimensionality and predictability of two emotional labor measures as well as suggests the need for the careful selection and refinement of appropriate measures according to consequences.

간호사의 피로도, 감정노동, 직무착근도가 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Fatigue, Emotional Labor and Job Embeddedness on Nurses Turnover Intention)

  • Objectives : This study investigated the fatigue, emotional labor and job embeddedness factors influencing the turnover intention of clinical nurses. Methods : A survey was conducted with 479 hospital nurses. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients. and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results : The mean scores fatigue, emotional labor, job embeddedness. and turnover intention were $3.06{\pm}0.71$, $3.43{\pm}0.60$, $2.94{\pm}0.47$, and $3.39{\pm}0.62$, respectively. Turnover intention was positively correlated with fatigue and emotional labor, but negatively correlated with job embeddedness. Multiple regression analysis showed that the factors affecting turnover intention were job embeddedness, emotional labor, gender, and with studying. Conclusions : The results indicate that emotional labor and job embeddedness are very important factors affecting nurses turnover intention. Therefore nurse managers should decrease nurses emotional labor and maximize their job embeddedness by developing various emotional sensitivity and support programs.
