  • There are numerous emotions in the human world. Human expresses and recognizes their emotion using various channels. The example is an eye, nose and mouse. Particularly, in the emotion recognition from facial expression they can perform the very flexible and robust emotion recognition because of utilization of various channels. Hybrid-feature extraction algorithm is based on this human process. It uses the geometrical feature extraction and the color distributed histogram. And then, through the independently parallel learning of the neural-network, input emotion is classified. Also, for the natural classification of the emotion, advancing two-dimensional emotion space is introduced and used in this paper. Advancing twodimensional emotion space performs a flexible and smooth classification of emotion.

  • Today, 'Emotion' has come to stay as a powerful culture code. Though there has been not a few research results based on the recognition of the importance of emotion, the concept of 'Emotion' still differs according not only to researchers but also to the fields. There firstly lies the aim of this study to research the moaning and feature of 'Emotion' through John Dewey's Theory of Experience. Secondly, this study tries to categorize the strata of emotion in space, and further tries to present the methodology for the study of emotion shown in the space. Emotion is the impulse corresponding to the root force drawing out indefinite situations into the context of the problem, and is also the force which integrates all the elements in the process of reflective correlation. Emotion can be referred to as the activating and combining force which makes it possible for the separate elements to be related to the whole as one, and as the feature forming the completion of the transaction between organisms and environment.

  • The concept of human emotion is recently demanded to be imbedded in industrial product and environment for enhancing quality of life. Human emotion is attempted to be qualified and quantified by physiological measurements. EEG variation, one of the physiological measurement, is observed to characterize psychological response in this study. This study is to find function and process of brain according to emotion. Twenty university students participated in this study and experienced positive and negative emotion by auditory stimulus. Delta, theta, alpha and beta waves showed characteristic variation in normalized sense according to positive and negative emotion. Local area showing significant difference between positive and negative emotion decreases with stimulus duration. Delta, theta and beta waves increase with negative emotion while alpha wave does with positive emotion.

  • The emotion is deeply affected by human behavior and cognitive process, so it is important to do research about the emotion. However, the emotion is ambiguous to clarify because of different ways of life pattern depending on each individual characteristics. To solve this problem, we use not only physiological signal for objective analysis but also hybrid unsupervised-supervised learning classifier for automatic emotion detection. The hybrid emotion classifier is composed of K-means, genetic algorithm and support vector machine. We acquire four different kinds of physiological signal including electroencephalography(EEG), electrocardiography(ECG), galvanic skin response(GSR) and skin temperature(SKT) as well as we use 15 features extracted to be used for hybrid emotion classifier. As a result, hybrid emotion classifier(80.6%) shows better performance than SVM(31.3%).

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate and analyze the relationship between the elements of textile design and consumer emotion and to suggest effective design methods. In addition, the forecasting system for textile design based on the results of this study was developed. The database system of textile design was organized by installing Mysql database server and tomcat servlet container on windows NT. The user interface was utilized using jsp on the web. This study findings can provide textile design samples which were suitable for each emotional factor, and an evaluation basis for each design element by the descriptive system of textile design. The forecasting system based on this study findings can also provide specific design methods for the effectiveness of consumer emotion and can be applied in a practical design process. This study based on the results of the quantitative analysis on consumer emotion has presented an objective and an efficient design method. This will be a useful expedient to improve the existing textile design process and for the consumer design.

  • Today, mankind is falling in serious stress. So there are various way that heal men as human psychology, philosophy, medical science etc. And in recent years, interest in literature therapy has been focused to heal the human sense of spirit. In the future, we will be able to treat our spirit sense with AI Emotion. The treatment process can be induced by the system of emotion coding which AI Emotion deliver Emotion signals to Human body. For this study, we used the Ahn Min-young's Sijo. The reason is that his Sijo is useful this study of the Emotion Coding. As the result, Ahn Min-young's emotion coding created the codes as if amino acid codes. We must continue this research. Then our literature therapy could grow and contribute to human well-being.

  • This study aims at empiricallly designing method to increase player's play capability through determining of the relations of player's behavior pattern and emotion factors when having gameplay experiences in MMORPG. For modeling emotion factors on gameplay, Our preliminary studies are considered in the process of rule-based systems on cognitive science approach. These study estabilished game architecture process applied of player's cognitieve emotion reactions in specific situation of role playing games that have most noticeable interaction with players based on quest system. This approach is expected to extend instant responses, which can be controlled behind all of anti-main behavior pattern and main behavior pattern in game playing. Therefore, such study is meaningful that is proposed the analysis framework of player's emotion factors to design game playing capability in game interactions.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of emotional venting via instant messaging (IM) and positive emotion in the relationship between negative emotion and depression. Methods: Online survey was conducted in Korea between 2 April and 7 April 2019. To obtain samples with representativeness, data were gathered by the professional research firm. A total of 250 Koreans were participated in this study. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and SPSS PROCESS macro to test the mediating effects. Results: This study analyzed the direct/indirect effects of negative emotion on emotional venting via IM, in the relationship between positive emotion and depression. Negative emotion had indirect effects on depression through emotional venting via IM and positive emotion. Both emotional venting via IM and positive emotion had dual mediating effects in the influence of negative emotion on depression. Conclusion: These results suggest that it is important to manage negative emotion to prevent depression. Also, this study confirmed that emotional venting via IM is a powerful factor influencing emotional recovery.

  • Correct prediction of emotion is essential for developing advanced health devices. For this purpose, neural network has been successfully used. However, interpretation of how a certain emotion is predicted through the emotion prediction neural network is very tough. When interpreting mechanism about how emotion is predicted by using the emotion prediction neural network can be developed, such mechanism can be effectively embedded into highly advanced health-care devices. In this sense, this study proposes a novel approach to interpreting how the emotion prediction neural network yields emotion. Our proposed mechanism is based on HRV (heart rate variability) measurements, which is based on calculating physiological data out of ECG (electrocardiogram) measurements. Experiment dataset with 23 qualified participants were used to obtain the seven HRV measurement such as Mean RR, SDNN, RMSSD, VLF, LF, HF, LF/HF. Then emotion prediction neural network was modelled by using the HRV dataset. By applying the proposed mechanism, a set of explicit mathematical functions could be derived, which are clearly and explicitly interpretable. The proposed mechanism was compared with conventional neural network to show validity.
