  • 본 논문은 SaaS(Software as a Service) 기반의 건설공정전송 및 안전관리 시스템을 건설작업에 활용하여 공정관리와 안전관리에 적용함으로써 초고속 무선인터넷을 통해 이루어지는 다양한 유형의 건설 공정에 대한 일정 및 결과와 안전관리에 대한 체계적인 수단을 확보할 수 있고 공정 내에서 이루어지는 모든 관리 체계를 신속하고 정확하게 관리할 수 있다.작업자는 스마트폰을 활용하여 감독관으로 작업을 지시받고 작업의 현황과 결과를 보고한다. 또한 비상상황 시 감독관에게 보고를 즉시 할수 있으며 일정시간 이상 스마트 폰 진동 발생이 없는 경우 작업자에게 위험 상황을 체크하게 된다. 감독관의 경우 수립된 공정별 업무를 지시하고 결과를 확인하며 현장 작업자 위험 상황의 조치명령을 내리고 미흡한 부분을 제시함으로써 만족되는 결과를 얻게 된다. 또한 소프트웨어(서버)의 경우 작업에 관련된 모든 자료를 저장하고 회원관리 및 보안을 담당하였다.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN RADIATION PROTECTION IN KOREA: CURRENT STATUS AND IMPROVEMENTS

  • Radiation and its various industrial applications have been growing at approximately 10 percent per year for the past decade in Korea. As a result, the importance of the Education and Training (E&T) in radiation protection is of upmost importance. This paper is intended to investigate the present status of the E&T on radiation protection and safety in Korea and to draw up the improvements of the E&T courses required for building the national radiation safety infrastructure. For these purposes, the E&T data from the six major domestic organizations providing radiation protection training courses were investigated and analyzed. Each of the organizations is offering several kinds of E&T courses based on their own specific functions. These organizations have administrative facilities equipped with the latest technology for E&T in radiation protection. The E&T courses mainly cover the training courses for radiation workers, radiological emergency staff, license applicants, license holders, and regulatory staff. In 2010, a total of 58 E&T courses were carried out across six organizations. The conclusions make a number of observations highlighting challenges such as: establishing a formal feedback mechanism, introducing more practical training sessions, developing training courses tailored to the job categories and target audiences, and designing education and training courses in radiation protection that comply with current obligations as well as future requirements.

민간경비 산업의 전문인력 양성 방안 (A Study on Developing Professional Training of the Private Security Industry)

  • Technology development of modern society reduces times, costs and labor costs but demands work forces requiring expert knowledge on technology. Consequently knowledge worker becomes important. Not changing into a specialist acquired expert knowledge, people can't survive in competitive society. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to grasp the actual condition of private security industry and to examine problems. The final goal is to find the way to improve the professionalism of workers in private security industry. First. Now we must make up for the subject for examination actually and be in a triangular position and complement a professional materials for teaching. At the same time it must strengthen the education using advanced instruments seek to Total Security System. Moreover it is demanded 'institutional supplement of security guard instructors' which means job training for security guard instructor Second. On the job training which can deal with a state of emergency through 'security guard training' with a theory and an actual training must be strengthen. Also, most security guards have low understandings and interests because their ages are from 50's to 60's. Accordingly proper education must be offered to security guard. Third. Certification system of the private security guards are needed to fix the problems on an indiscreet issue and an abuse of license through deliberation on the security license. Fourth. Universities must find a new market to minimize the squandering of human resources because of oversupply and reduce the personnel. Also with enhancing the employment rate through specialized education, universities must offer an education which keeps pace with the times for not an entrance strategy but a long-term development. Effort for education of specialist will produce an improvement in business quality and improved services produce a customer satisfaction. A customer satisfaction will produce a fame of a successful company and positive images in market area. Finally the private industry will be developed by productivity improvement.

한 대학병원 종사자의 감정노동 수준과 그에 영향을 미치는 요인 (The Level of Emotional Labor among Workers in One University Hospital)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of emotional labor and to identify affecting factors on emotional labor among one university hospital employees. Material and Method : This study was based on cross-sectional, self-administered, and Internet-based survey. The survey was conducted from Mar. 2 to Mar. 28. 2011. Total subjects were 812 employees working in one university hospital. Total response rate was 61.5%. Modified evaluation tool was used, which was originally developed by Morris and Feldman, to measure the level of emotional labor among hospital personnel. In order to identify the affecting factors on high level of emotional labor, we conducted logistic regression. The SPSS statistical software package was used to perform the statistical analysis. All statistical tests were 2-sided and a p-value<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results : Average score of emotional labor was 3.06. Employees(3.39) who are working at the emergency department and hemodialysis room indicated the highest level of emotional labor, followed by wards(3.14), department of administration(3.14), department of ambulatory cares(3.06). The factors affecting on the high level of emotional labor were the highest level of schooling, types of department, and types of personality(p<0.05). Conclusion : The survey results showed that there was significant level of emotional labors among hospital employees. Therefore, the efforts to reduce the level of emotional labors are needed.

A computational study on the removal of the non-isothermal concentrated fume from the semi-enclosed space

  • For the prediction of the ventilation rate for removing the non-isothermal concentrated fume from the semi-enclosed space, the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis was done. Securing the proper ventilation conditions in emergency state such as in fire is crucial factor for the protection of the resident in the space. In the analysis for the determining the proper ventilation rate, the experimental study had the limitation for simulating the versatile conditions of fume development. The theoretical and computational method had been chosen as the alternate tool for the experimental analysis. In this study, the CFD analysis was done on the defined model which already had been done the experimental analysis by the previous workers. By comparing the prediction on the plume heights and the ventilation rates by the CFD analysis at, and in the parametric model of $1m^3$ with those of the previous experimental works, the feasibility of the computational analysis was evaluated. For the required ventilation rate analyzed by the CFD analysis was over predicted in 7.1% difference with that of the experimental results depending on the different plume height. With the comparison with the analytical Zukoski model at, the CFD analysis on the ventilation was under predicted in 8.3%. By the verification of the feasibility of the CFD analysis, the extended analysis was done for getting the extra information such as the water vapor distribution and $CO^2$ distribution in the semi-enclosed spaces.

일 가정간호 교육기관 교육생의 임상수행능력 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study for the Evaluation of Students on a Practical Performance of the Home Health Care)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the evaluation of students on a practical performance of the home health care and to provide data for practical education on the home care nurse institution. Research was performed from March to December. 2002. 40 Respondents participated in the evaluation four times. The data were analysed by using the SPSS/PC + version 10. 0. The results of this study were as followings: 1. The average age of the subjects was 32. Majority of the subjects were interested in home health care. Majority of the subjects were staff nurse(57.5%) and workers at general hospitals(50%). 2. According to the result of the comparison of practical performances. performance evaluations of 20 items were higher when they admitted special practice than when they admitted any other practice. There was an positive increase in the evaluation of health assessment. nursing documentation. explanation. coping with emergency status. coordination and self assertion. In addition to health assessment. CPR. oxygenation. education & consultation. developmental assessment of child. nursing documentation. mastering nursing practice and consideration of client were significantly different. 3. The subjects were useful for practical circumference where they are working at. From these research findings. the following suggestions have been drawn: it is needed to manage practical curriculum variously and to include not only clinical aspect but also organic or administrational aspect and to reflect on students' needs and to choose to be reasonable items and to develop instruments for evaluation capability of home care nurse.

2015년 국내 중동호흡기증후군 유행 양상 (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Outbreak in Korea, 2015)

  • Since April 2012, more than 1,600 laboratory-confirmed human infections with Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) have been reported, occurring primarily in countries in the Arabian Peninsula; the majority in Saudi Arabia. The MERS outbreak in Korea, which began in May 2015 through the importation of a single case who had recently traveled to Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. As of November 28th, 186 secondary and tertiary cases had been reported; 38 deaths, mainly associated with underlying chronic illnesses, were reported. One case was exported to China and has been recorded as the first MERS case in China. Thirty-seven confirmed cases were associated with the index case, who was hospitalized from May 15 to May 17. Emergency room at one of the nation's largest hospitals had been affected by hospital-to-hospital and intra-hospital transmissions of MERS-CoV, resulting in an outbreak of 90 infected patients. The vast majority of 186 confirmed cases are linked to a single transmission chain associated with health facilities. The median age of patients is 55 years, with a range of 16 to 87 years. The majority (61%) of patients are men. Twenty-five (14%) of the cases involve healthcare workers. The overall median incubation period was six days, but it was four days for secondary cases and six days for tertiary cases. There has been no evidence of airborne transmission and sustained human-to-human transmission in communities. Intensified public health measures, including contact tracing, quarantine and isolation of all contacts and suspected cases, and infection prevention and control have brought the MERS-CoV under control in Korea. Since 4 July no new cases have been reported.

도금 사업장 근로자에게 발생한 시안화수소 급성중독과 작업환경평가 (Acute Hydrogen Cyanide Poisoning in a Plating Worker and Workplace Measurement)

  • Introduction: An unexpected death was reported in a beginner immediately after starting the work at a plating factory. After the incident, air sampling was performed using a simulation of the situation as it had been at the time. Methods: To evaluate the airborne concentration of hydrogen cyanide, a total of six samples were collected: one personal sample, three area samples, and two background samples (office and outdoors). Hydrogen cyanide measurement was performed according to the standard sampling protocol recommended by the U.S. NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health). Results: The highest concentration of hydrogen cyanide was 0.938 ppm measured in a sample collected from the plating bath area with local exhaust ventilation. This value was approximately 20% of the ceiling occupational exposure limit. The personal sample showed a concentration of 0.135 ppm. Samples collected near the bath in which the incident occurred and a dehydrator showed hydrogen cyanide concentrations of 0.236 ppm and 0.101 ppm, respectively. Hydrogen cyanide was not detected in the background samples (office and outdoors). Conclusions: It is necessary to use proper ventilation systems and respirators in plating factories to prevent acute poisoning. Furthermore, it is important to educate and train new workers dealing with toxic substances.

Fear of COVID-19 and Its Impact on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention Among Egyptian Physicians

  • Introduction: The risk of experiencing psychiatric symptoms related to the COVID-19 pandemic is high among healthcare workers whose occupations are in public health, emergency medicine, and intensive or critical care. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional study aimed to assess the prevalence of fear of COVID-19 among 411 frontline Egyptian physicians during the COVID-19 pandemic; identify determinants and predictors for fear of COVID-19; determine the impact of fear of COVID-19 on job satisfaction; and detect the impact of fear of COVID-19 on turnover intention. Three standardized scales (fear of COVID-19, job satisfaction, and turnover intention scores) were used for data collection via online Google Form. Results: Regarding fear relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, 16.5% of the study subjects were classified as experiencing a severe fear level, while 78.1% experienced a moderate degree. A significant association between the level of fear relating to COVID-19 and the work department. The highest degree of fear is in a general-educational-university facility. Regarding job satisfaction, 42% of those having a severe level of fear are dissatisfied. Fear of COVID-19 is negatively associated with job satisfaction while positively significant correlated with turnover scores, a positive significant predictor of turnover intention. Job satisfaction is negatively associated with turnover intention; a negative significant predictor of turnover intention. Conclusions: Frontline Egyptian physicians reported higher levels of fear relating to the COVID-19 pandemic (moderate to severe). Increased fear levels relating to COVID-19 have a relationship with lower levels of job satisfaction and higher levels of job turnover.

용접 작업장 통신네트워크 구축을 위한 블록매체통신시스템 (Block Media Communication System for Implementation of a Communication Network in Welding Workplaces)

  • 본 논문에서는 선박 용접공정에 사용되는 장비에 전력선통신 기술을 접목하고 금속블록을 통신매체로 사용하는 블록매체통신시스템을 제시한다. 여기서는 디지털 피더와 금속블록을 지지하는 핀지그에 유도성 커플러를 설치하고, 피더에 연결된 용접건에서 발생되는 전류에 정보신호를 더하여 금속블록에 인가함으로써 작업이 시작되면 현장에서 발생되는 정보를 상황실 서버에 실시간 전송한다. 현장시험 결과, 제시된 블록매체통신시스템의 송신부에서 전송된 데이터는 상황실 서버컴퓨터에 정확하게 수신되는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 제시된 시스템은 기존 용접공정에 대한 변경 없이 구축이 가능하므로 향후 조선소 스마트 팩토리화를 통한 조선산업의 경쟁력 강화에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다. 또한 전자파 차폐 환경이나 밀폐된 공간에서 작업자에게 발생할 수 있는 응급상황에 신속한 대처가 가능하므로 산업재해 예방효과도 클 것으로 사료된다.
