다양한 가상 골 결함에 따른 공진 주파수의 비교 분석 (A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS WITH RESONANCE FREQUENCY ACCORDING TO VARIOUS SIMULATED BONE DEFECTS)

  • Purpose: Resonance frequency analysis (RFA) , a non-invasive technique for the clinical measurement of implant stability, was investigated. Peri-implant bony defect may contribute to implant failure. This in vitro study evaluated the resonance frequencies according to various bony defects and determined whether the directional bone defect can affect the value of frequency analysis. Material and Method: Fifteen 3.75 mm in diameter and 10 mm in length, machined self-tapping implant future were used. Twelve types of bone defects that have different horizontal and vertical dimensions were simulated. Embedded implants were attached to the dental surveyor. Then, the transducer was connected with the implant fixture and the ISQ value was measured at four different directions. Two-way analysis of variance and post hoc $Sch\`{e}ffe'$ test were performed at the 95% significance level. Results: The control group showed the highest ISQ value and 5 thread-$360^{\circ}$ group had the lowest one. As the vertical exposure of implants in each angle was increased, the ISQ value was decreased. Although the horizontal exposure in each thread was increased, the ISQ value was not significantly decreased. Conclusion : Although the simulated defect type was different from each other, the ISQ value was similar among groups.

Tricalcium phosphate와 Vitapex가 치근단 조직에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (THE EFFECT OF THE TRICALCIUM PHOSPHATE AND VITAPEX ON THE DOGS' PERIAPICAL TISSUES)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of tricalcium phosphate and Vitapex on the dogs' periapical tissues. Twenty mandibular premolars from 5 healthy dogs were used for this study. After the animals were anesthetized intramuscularly, pulp chambers were open and pulp tissue was extirpated with a barbed broach and H-file. Then the working length of the root canal was measured with H-file and pulp tissue was completely removed. Before the actual canal filling, the root canals of twenty teeth have been experimentally infected with opening the pulp chamber for 5 weeks. Periapical radiographs of the experimental teeth were taken to monitor the periapical pathological condition. Each root apex of 20 premolars was perforated with engine reamer and the root canals were enlarged with No. 30-60 H-files. They were divided into treated as follows. Control group: The root canal was filled with gutta-percha. Experimental group 1: The canal was dried with sterile paper points and mixture of tricalcium phosphate and physiological saline was overfilled beyond the root apex with a lentulo spiral. Then the root canal was filled gutta-percha and lateral condensation and the pulp chamber was filled with Caviton. Experimental group 2: The root canals were overfilled with Vitapex and were treated in the same manner as those in experimental group 1 At 1,2,3, and 8 weeks after experiment, the periapical tissues including the alveolar bone were fixed with 10% formalin solution for I week and decalcified with Plank-Rycho solution for 5 weeks. The specimens were embedded in paraffin and serial sections were cut into a thickness of 6 ${\mu}m$ at the plane of the root apex. Hematoxyline-eosin and Masson's trichrome stain were made for the histo-pathological examinations. The results were as follows: 1. Ingrowth of collagen fiber was observed from 1 week in control group and experimental groups. 2. The rate of bone formation of experimental group 1 was accelerated more than that of experimental group 2. 3. Resorption of cementum was seen in control group, but apposition of cementum was seen in experimental groups.

보철물 조건에 따른 Periotest수치의 실험적 평가 (IN VITRO EVALUATION OF PERIOTEST VALUES UNDER VARIOUS CONDITIONS OF PROSTHESES)

  • Periotest(Siemens, Germany) has been used to test mobility of the implants clinically, however the effects of target materials and connection methods on the PTVs(Periotest Values) have not been evaluated. Periotest has been regarded as a reliable and objective tool to test implant and natural teeth mobility clinically, however this instrument showed different PTVs under various test conditions. This in vitro study was designed to compare PTVs of different veneering materials and prosthodontic designs (single and bridge restorations). To compare the effects of veneering materials on PTVs, 1 mm thickness of five different testing materials (porcelain, type III gold alloy, pure titanium, composite resin, acrylic resin) were placed on the resin block. Three full length of 13 mm Mark II implant fixtures were embedded into autopolymerizing resin block to fabricate single and bridge restorations. To evaluate effects of the connection method in single restorations, PTVs of screw retained(UCLA type) and cementation type(Cera-One system) were compared. Finally, to test reliability of PTVs of the final restorations, screw retained three unit short span PFM bridges were fabricated on the standard and Estheti-Cone abutments. All testing components were tightened with torque controller and PTVs of all specimens were measured 15 times for statistical analysis with SAS program. Following conclusions were made within the limit of this in vitro study. 1. PTVs of type III gold alloy, grade II titanium, composite resin veneering materials showed no significant differences, however acrylic resin and porcelain showed significant differences (P<0.05). 2. Single tooth restorations showed consistent PTVs as long as proper torque force was applied. 3. PTVs of bridge type prostheses was inconsistent regardless of abutment types. 4. PTVs of the prostheses showed higher scores and standard deviations than those of abutments regardless types of connection (P<0.05).

대기경계층 내에 놓인 자유단 원주의 형상비가 후류유동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of Cylinder Aspect Ratio on Wake Structure Behind a Finite Circular Cylinder Located in an Atmospheric Boundary Layer)

  • The flow around free end of a finite circular cylinder (FC) embedded in an atmospheric boundary layer has been investigated experimentally. The experiments were carried out in a closed-return type subsonic wind tunnel with varying aspect ratio of the finite cylinder mounted vertically on a flat plate. The wakes behind a 2-D cylinder and a finite cylinder located in a uniform flow were measured for comparison. Reynolds number based on the cylinder diameter was about Re=20,000. A hot-wire anemometer was employed to measure the wake velocity and the mean pressure distributions on the cylinder surface were also measured. The flow past the FC free end shows a complicated three-dimensional wake structure and flow phenomenon is quite different from that of 2-D cylinder. The three-dimensional flow structure was attributed to the downwashing counter rotating vortices separated from the FC free end. As the FC aspect ratio decreases, the vortex shedding frequency decreases and the vortex formation length increases compared to that of 2-D cylinder. Due to the descending counter-rotating twin-vortex, near the FC free end, regular vortex shedding from the cylinder is suppressed and the vortex formation region is hardly distinguished. Around the center of the wake, the mean velocity for the FC located in atmospheric boundary layer has large velocity deficit compared to that of uniform flow.

Photo-induced Electrical Properties of Metal-oxide Nanocrystal Memory Devices

  • The memories with nano-particles are very attractive because they are promising candidates for low operating voltage, long retention time and fast program/erase speed. In recent, various nano-floating gate memories with metal-oxide nanocrystals embedded in organic and inorganic layers have been reported. Because of the carrier generation in semiconductor, induced photon pulse enhanced the program/erase speed of memory device. We studied photo-induced electrical properties of these metal-oxide nanocrystal memory devices. At first, 2~10-nm-thick Sn and In metals were deposited by using thermal evaporation onto Si wafer including a channel with $n^+$ poly-Si source/drain in which the length and width are 10 ${\mu}m$ each. Then, a poly-amic-acid (PAA) was spin coated on the deposited Sn film. The PAA precursor used in this study was prepared by dissolving biphenyl-tetracarboxylic dianhydride-phenylene diamine (BPDA-PDA) commercial polyamic acid in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidon (NMP). Then the samples were cured at 400$^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour in N atmosphere after drying at 135$^{\circ}C$ for 30 min through rapid thermal annealing. The deposition of aluminum layer with thickness of 200 nm was followed by using a thermal evaporator, and then the gate electrode was defined by photolithography and etching. The electrical properties were measured at room temperature using an HP4156a precision semiconductor parameter analyzer and an Agilent 81101A pulse generator. Also, the optical pulse for the study on photo-induced electrical properties was applied by Xeon lamp light source and a monochromator system.

비파괴 철근탐사의 주요 영향인자에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Principal Factors for Non-destructive Test of Detecting Steel bars)

  • 콘크리트 구조물 내의 철근탐사는 구조물의 상태를 평가하는 중요한 단계중의 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 비파괴 철근탐사기 중 전자기유도법과 전자파레이터법의 측정 정밀도 제고를 위한 제반 실험을 수행하였다. 시험에 크기가 1,000 mm(길이)${\times}300mm$(폭)이고 철근직경, 피복두께가 각기 다른 4개의 콘크리트 시험체를 이용하였다. 실험은 90일간의 공기중 건조 후와 3, 24, 48시간 및 28일간의 침수 후 실시되었다. 실험결과, 전자기유도법의 경우, 철근직경이 커짐에 따라 오차가 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 전자파레이더법의 경우에는 실제 피복두께에 맞는 비유전율에 따라 측정하여 깊은 심도의 경우에도 신뢰도가 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 수분함량이 3.6~5.5%로 증가함에 따라서 콘크리트 시험체의 비유전율도 증가하는 경향을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 수분함량이 비유저율을 결정하는데 주요한 영향인자 중의 하나라는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 수분함유량에 따른 유전상수 산출식을 도출, 제시하였다.

다층지반에서 횡하중을 받는 군말뚝의 거동 (Behavior of Pile Groups in Multi-layers Soil under Lateral Loading)

  • 본 논문은 ABAQUS 유한 요소 프로그램을 사용하여 다층지반(화강풍화토-점토-화강풍화토)에서의 외말뚝과 군말뚝의 횡하중에 대한 영향을 설명한다. 본 연구에서의 변수는 캡이 없는 외말뚝과 캡이 있는 군말뚝으로, 파일의 직경은 0.5m, 길이는 10m인 말뚝을 사용하였다. 수치 해석은 말뚝의 간격을 (s=3D, 4D, 5D) 변화시켜 외말뚝과 군말뚝의 거동을 비교하기 위하여 수행되었다. $1{\times}3$군말뚝(leading pile, middle pile, trail pile)은 각각의 말뚝의 저항분포와 수평저항력을 조사하기 위하여 선정되었다. 점토의 해석모델은 Druker-Prager 구성관계를 이용하였고, 화강풍화토의 물성치는 기존의 논문을 사용하였으며, 말뚝은 탄성 원형 콘크리트로 모델링하였다. 해석 결과, 말뚝의 간격이 넓어짐에 따라 P-multiplier의 값이 leading pile의 영향을 덜 받는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 단층지반이 다층지반에 비해 수평저항력이 약 4~20% 크게 작용하는 것으로 나타났다.

다운증후군 아동들의 보행 비대칭성 연구 (Gait Asymmetry in Children with Down Syndrome)

  • A large interindividual variability and some abnormally kinematic patterns at the lower extremity were the main features of the gait in children with Down syndrome. The purposes of this study were to investigate the gait asymmetry and biomechanical difference between dominant leg and non dominant leg in children with Down syndrome. Seven boys with Down Syndrome(age: $120{\pm}0.9yrs$, weight $34.4{\pm}8.4kg$, leg length: $68.7{\pm}5.0cm$) participated in this study. A 10.0 m ${\times}$ 1.3 m walkway with a firm dark surface was built and used for data collection. Three-dimensional motion analyses were performed to obtain the joint angles and range of motions. The vertical ground reaction forces(%BW) and impulses($%BW{\cdot}s$) were measured by two force plates embedded in the walkway. Asymmetry indices between the legs were computed for all variables. After decision the dominant leg and the non dominant leg with max hip abduction angle, paired samples t-test was employed for selected kinematic and ground reaction force variables to analyze the differences between the dominant leg and the non dominant leg. The max hip abduction angle during the swing phase showed most asymmetry, while the knee flexion angle at initial contact showed most symmetry in walking and running. The dominant leg showed more excessive abduction of hip in the swing phase and more flat-footed contact than the non dominant leg. Vertical peak force in running showed more larger than those of in walking, however, vertical impulse showed more small than walking due to decrease of support time. In conclusion, the foot of dominant leg contact more carefully than those of non dominant leg. And also, there are no significant difference between the dominant leg and the non dominant leg in kinematic variables and ground reaction force due to large interindividual variability.

DNA Comet Assay를 이용한 방사선 조사 쇠고기와 돼지고기의 검지 기술 (Detection of Irradiated Beef and Pork by DNA Comet Assay)

  • 방사선 조사된 쇠고기와 돼지고기의 방사선 조사 여부를 판별하는데 DNA comet assay의 활용 가능성을 검토하였다. 쇠고기와 돼지고기는 Co-60 동위 원소를 조사원으로 하여 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0 kGy의 총흡수선량( $\pm$ 5.0%)이 되도록 조사하여, 냉동상태로 보관하였다. 시료로부터 분리 된 세포는 agarose gel과 혼합하여 슬라이드에 깔아주고, lysis 및 전기영동을 하였다. 방사선 조사된 시료의 경우 세포로부터 끌려나오는 DNA절편들은 양극을 방향으로 tail이 형성되었고, 비조사 시료의 경우 tail이 없거나, 일부에서만 작은 tail이 관찰되었다. 방사선 조사유무는 0.1 kGy부터 현미경상으로 검지가 가능하였고, 선량간 차이의 유의성 여부는 통계분석을 통하여 검지가 가능하여, 쇠고기와 돼지고기의 신속한 검지 방법으로 DNA comet assay를 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

철골 플레이트 커플링보의 전단강도에 대한 기준식의 비교.분석 (Comparison analyzation of Calculation Equations for Shear strength of Steel Plate Coupling Beam)

  • 병렬 전단벽구조의 이상적인 거동을 만족시키기 위한 대안의 하나로 철근콘크리트커 플링보에 전단 성능이 우수한 철골 플레이트를 매립하는 방안이 제시되었다. Lam의 연구에 의하면 플레이트를 보강한 시험체가 기존의 철근 콘크리트 커플링보에 비하여 내진성능이 매우 우수한 것을 제시하고 있다. 철골 플레이트 커플링보는 철골 부재와 철근콘크리트 부재로 구성된 합성구조이다. 따라서 철골 부재는 강구조 설계 기준에 의해 설계하고, 철근콘크리트 부재는 철근콘크리트 설계기 준에 의해 설계하여 중첩시키는 방법으로 설계한다. 그러나 아직까지 합성구조에 대한 설계 기준이 마련되어 있지 않은 이유로 본연구에서는 실무에서 쓰이는 기준식의 평가를 통하여 철골 커플링보의 안전성을 검토하고자 한다. 기존 연구의 데이터를 통계학적 분석방법을 이용하여, ACI 기준식과 BS 기준식을 각각 검증하였다. 분석 결과 철근콘크리트의 전단력과 철골 플레이트의 전단력을 중첩하여 계산하는 철골 플레이트 커플링보에 대한 현재의 실무에서의 설계방법은 기존의 실험결과와 비교하면 적절한 설계방법으로 판단된다.
