유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 위한 임베디드 운영체제 보안 기술 연구 (A Study on Embedded Operating System Security Technology for Ubiquitous Computing)

  • 현재 임베디드 시스템은 디지털 셋톱박스, 모바일 폰, USN 등 유비쿼터스 환경에 응용을 위해 널리 이용되고 있으며 필수적으로 내장된 것인 만큼 보안의 중요성 또한 점점 확대되어가고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문은 지난 2006년 12월에 제정된 국내 TTA 표준인 임베디드 운영체제 보안 참조 모델을 기반으로 주요 보안 요구사항 중 하나인 타겟시스템에서의 새로운 무결성 검증 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 방법은 기존 [2,6]에서 제안한 방법에 비해 향상된 효율성을 제공한다.

  • An embedded system has been applied to many fields including households and industrial sites. The embedded system is implemented fur image tracking in security area. This system supports a fixed IP far the reliable server operation on TCP/IP networks. A real time video image on the is analyzed to detect a certain invader who jumped into the observed area. The digital camera is connected at the USB host port of the target board. The video images from the video camera is continuously analyzed and displayed at the Linux web-server. The moving vector of the invaders on the continuous image frames is calculated and then it sends the calculated pan/tilt movement. That used Block matching algorithm and edge detection algorithm for past speed. And the displacement vector is used at pan/tilt motor control through RS232 serial cable. The experiment result showed tracking performance by the moving part speed of 10 to 150 pixels/sec.

  • The Quality of embedded system depends on the embedded software. As the complexity and the size of embedded software have been increasing, it is more likely that the software may include faults, and the reliability and stability issues are getting more important. In this paper, we propose a remote test tool for software based on VxWorks by using fault injection method. The test tool consists of test server and test client for testing on the cross development environment. The test server operates in the host system and user can not only test but also monitor the software by using it. The test client operates in the target system and it controls kernel objects and sends the input data into the software when receiving the control and data from the test server. We developed the prototype software and demonstrated the ability of testing software robustness by injecting faults.

  • The ubiquitous embedded computers are firmly established as the basic electronic component of design that control military systems. Such applications can be found everywhere in the field of military system. A embedded computer is required to redesign when system needs performance upgrade or production-state of processor is NRND or EOL. This paper describes a scheme about impact analysis of designing processor alteration on embedded computer. In this case, hardware architecture and interrupt source of target system must be considered. Also, performance and throughput of that must be analyzed.

  • XScale PXA255 기반 Embedded Linux 환경에서 전력 소비를 줄이기 위해 DFS(Dynamic Frequency Scaling) 기법의 디바이스 드라이버를 제작하고 이 디바이스 드라이버가 포팅되어 있는 임베디드 타겟보드의 전력을 관리하기 위한 미들웨어 DFM(Dynamic Frequency Management)를 설계하고 구현하여 임베디드 시스템의 전력 소비를 감소하는 방법을 제시한다.

  • In this paper, we design the hardware platform and implement the embedded software based on the FPGA and the DSP for the automotive 77GHz FMCW radar system. This embedded software is built into the DSP as the multi-tasking architecture to support the basic target detection algorithm and the Ethernet link. The designed GUI(Graphic User Interface) provides ability to adjust parameters associated with the radar performance, to monitor signal processing results, and to download the raw received signal. The designed platform can be used to develop the optimal detection algorithms for the various applications.

  • 무인 매장의 수가 점점 증가하며 보안과 비용 절감을 위한 솔루션들이 요구되고 있고, 시스템은 이를 해결하기 위한 다중 객체 추적 알고리즘을 제안한다. 한 대의 카메라에서 여러 사용자를 인식하고, 사용자의 정보를 서버에 저장해 주변 카메라에 전달함으로써 적은 카메라 수로 많은 사용자를 추적할 수 있게 한다.

System Performance Bound in Target Motion Analysis

  • This paper proposes a simple method to measure system's performance in target tracking problems. Essentially employing the Cramer-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB) on tracking accuracy, an algorithm of predicting system's performance under various scenarios is developed. The input data is a collection of measurements over tim from sensors embedded in Gaussian noise. The target of interest may not maneuver over the processing time interval while the own ship observing platform may maneuver in an arbitrary fashion. The proposed approach is demonstrated and discussed through simulation results.

  • In this paper, A target architecture and interface synthesizer are proposed for processor-embedded codesign. The target architecture has the form of ARM processor based on AMBA. The interface synthesizer automatically generates an interface circuit for the communication between HW and SW. A memory map is used as the communication channel and an interrupt-based interface is applied for synchronized communication between HW and SW modules. In order to verify the function and performance of proposed target architecture and the interface synthesizer, practical test example is applied. Experimental results show the proposed interface synthesizer functioned correctly in the HW/SW codesign environment.

  • As the need of automatized system has been increased recently together with the development of industrial and military technologies, the adaptive real-time target detection technologies that can be embedded on vehicles, planes, ships, robots and so on, are hgihly demanded. Accordingly, this paper proposes a novel approach to detect and segment the moving targets using the binary phase extraction joint transform correlator (BPEJTC), the advanced image subtraction filter and convex hull processing. The BPEJTC which was used as a target detection unit mainly for target tracking compensating the camera movement. The target region has been detected by processing the successful three frames using the advanced image subtraction filter, and has become more accurate by applying the developed convex hull filter. As shown by some experimental results, it is expected that the proposed approaches for compensation of the camera movement and segmentationof of target region, can be used for th emissile guiddance, aero surveillance, automatic inspectin system as well as the target detection unit of automatic target recognition system that request adaptive real-time processing.
