In this paper, we proposes a method for real-time processing of inter-floor noise problems by embedding TinyML, which includes a deep learning model, into ultra-low-power systems. The reason this method is feasible is because of lightweight deep learning model technology, which allows even systems with small computing resources to perform inference autonomously. The conventional method proposed to solve inter-floor noise problems was to send data collected from sensors to a server for analysis and processing. However, this centralized processing method has issues with high costs, complexity, and difficulty in real-time processing. In this paper, we address these limitations by employing On-Sensor AI using TinyML. The method presented in this paper is simple to install, cost-effective, and capable of processing problems in real-time.

SITES(Site Information and Total Environmental Data Management System) has been developed for the purpose of systematically managing site characteristics and environmental data produced during the pre-operational, operational, and post-closure phases of a radioactive waste disposal facility. SITES is an integration system, which consists of 4 modules, to be available for maintenance of site characteristics data, for safety assessment, and for site/environment monitoring; site environmental data management module(SECURE), integrated safety assessment module(SAINT), site/environment monitoring module(SUDAL) and geological information module for geological data management(SITES-GIS). Each module has its database with the functions of browsing, storing, and reporting data and information. Data from SECURE and SUDAL are interconnected to be utilized as inputs to SAINT. SAINT has the functions that multi-user can access simultaneously via client-server system, and the safety assessment results can be managed with its embedded Quality Assurance feature. Comparison between assessment results and environmental monitoring data can be made and visualized in SUDAL and SITES-GIS. Also, SUDAL is designed that the periodic monitoring data and information could be opened to the public via internet homepage. SITES has applied to the Wolsong low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste disposal center in Korea, and is expected to enhance the function of site/environment monitoring in other nuclear-related facilities and also in industrial facilities handling hazardous materials.
Internet is absolutely contributed to information technology revolution nowadays. Internet services such as voice and data, etc. are provided home or small office via home gateway. The development of communication equipment via home gateway is implemented rapidly, and its product various. This paper presents the design and implementation of the VoIP equipment including the telephone function based on the embedded environment and being connected to the home gateway and the PC because of taking 2-ethernet LAN ports. As developing environment, the STLC1502 developed at ST Microelectronics as single chip solution, VxWorks as RTOS, and C language as coding mechanism are used. The verification of the developed systems for the voice test is carried out for the gatekeeper via Internet. The performance parameter is considered as the call processing capacity measuring the time of the call setup and clearing, and the data processing capacity for the file transfer. As a call setup and clearing is about 95ms, the call processing capacity is about 10 calls per second. The data processing capacity is 5.7Mbps in case of file transfer of server and client environment. Therefore the performance result is satisfied in the aspect of the call processing time and the data transfer time in Internet.

Tissue engineering techniques require the use of a porous biodegradable/bioresorbable scaffold, which server as a three-dimensional template for initial cell attachment and subsequent tissue formation in both in vitro and in vivo. Small intestinal submucosa (SIS) has been investigated as a source of collagenous tissue with the potential to be used as biomaterials because of its inherent strength and biocompatibility. SIS-loaded poly(L-lactide-co-glicolide)(PLGA) scaffolds were prepared by solvent casting/particle leaching. Characterizations of SIS/PLGA scaffold were carried out by SEM, mercury porosimeter, and so on. Muscle-derived stem cells can be differentiated in culture into osteoblasts, chondrocytes, and even myoblasts by the controlling the culture environment. Cellular viability and proliferation were assayed by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazole-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium-bromide(MTT) test. Osteogenic differential cells were analyzed by alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity. SIS/PLGA scaffolds were implanted into the back of athymic nude mouse to observe the effect of SIS on the osteoinduction compared with controlled PLGA scaffolds. Thin sections were cut from paraffin embedded tissues and histological sections were conducted hematoxylin and eosin (H&E), Trichrome, and von Kossa. We observed that bone formatioin of SIS/PLGA hybrid scaffold as natural/synthetic scaffold was better thean that of only PLGA scaffold. It canb be explained that SIS contains various kinds of bioactive molecules for osteoinduction.

When unforeseen accidents occur in a ship, it is important to save passengers safely and remove them from the accident area quickly. To solve such a situation, site information of passengers on board always must be identified. This paper implemented a site monitoring of crews and passengers based on the BLE and PLM combination, to prepare for unexpected accidents of the ships. This system was composed of BLE tag for crews, passengers and each room, PLM networks, data server, and monitoring PC. In this system, site information derived from the tag attached to the bodies and cabins of crews and passengers are transmitted through a power line network, and monitored on the screen of a monitoring PC. The proposed system guides them into the only authorized area considering the ship security and passengers' safety, and even has a special alarm call to warn them after entering an unauthorized area. This system enables the BLE-embedded tag battery to use for a long time because the BLE consumes low electric power, and can gain an economic advantage.

A pulse oximeter is a device which provides non-invasive estimate of percentage oxygen saturation of haemoglobin (SpO2). Due to the limitations of resources of personal health devices (PHDs) including pulse oximeters, they generally transmit the estimated data to a remote monitoring server through a close manager (e.g. mobile device or PC). Therefore, communication protocols between PHDs and a manager is an important research topic in terms of interoperability. In this paper, we present design results of an SpO2 transmission agent based on the ISO/IEEE 11073 (X73) protocol. The protocol is an international standard for PHDs. The agent is an embedded program which generates X73 messages from the estimated pulse rates and SpO2, and transmits the messages to a close manager. The agent consists of a Session, Message and Memory Handler. The Session Handler manages a communication session with the manager, and the Message Handler generates and analyzes the exchanged messages according to the X73 protocol. The Memory Handler extracts pulse rates and SpO2s which are stored in a memory of the pulse oximeter. The SpO2 transmission agent allows pulse oximeters to communicate with managers based on x73 standard. Consequently, the interoperability between the pulse oximeters and the managers is guaranteed.
Network-based intelligent robot is connected with network system, provides interactions with humans, and carries out its own roles on ubiquitous computing environments. URC (Ubiquitous Robot Companion) robot has been proposed to develop network-based robot by applying distributed computing techniques. On URC robot, it is possible to save the computing power of robot client by environments, has been proposed to develop robot software using service-oriented architecture on server-client computing environments. The SOMAR client robot consists of two layers - device service layer and robot service layer. The device service controls physical devices, and the robot service abstracts robot's services, which are newly defined and generated by combining many device services. RSEL (Robot Service Executing Language) is defined in this paper to represent relations and connections between device services and robot services. A RESL document, including robot services by combining several device services, is translated to a programming language for robot client system using RSEL translator, then the translated source program is compiled and uploaded to robot client system with RPC (Remote Procedure Call) command. A SOMAR client system is easy to be applied to embedded systems of host/target architecture. Moreover it is possible to produce a light-weight URC client robot by reducing workload of RSEL processing engine.
In case of display a lot of information from mobile devices, those systems are being developed that display the information from mobile devices on remote devices such as TV using the mobile devices as remote controllers because it is difficult to display a lot of information on mobile devices due to their limited bandwidth and small screen sizes. A lot of cost is required to design and develop interfaces for these systems corresponding to each of remote display devices. In this paper, a mobile environment based remote display system for displays at real times is proposed for continuous monitoring of status data for unique 'Mote IDs'. Also, remote data are collected and monitored through sensor network devices such as ZigbeX by applying status perception based remote displays at real times through processing ubiquitous computing environment data, and remote display applications at real times are implemented through PDA wireless mobiles. The system proposed in this paper consists of a PDA for remote display and control, mote embedded applications programming for data collections and radio frequency, server modules to analyze and process collected data and virtual prototyping for monitoring and controls by virtual machines. The result of the implementations indicates that this system not only provides a good mobility from a human oriented viewpoint and a good usability of accesses to information but also transmits data efficiently.
We analyze an M/G/1/K queueing system with queue-length dependent service and arrival rates. There are a single server and a buffer with finite capacity K including a customer in service. The customers are served by a first-come-first-service basis. We put two thresholds $L_1$ and $L_2$($${\geq_-}L_1$$ ) on the buffer. If the queue length at the service initiation epoch is less than the threshold $L_1$, the service time of customers follows $S_1$ with a mean of ${\mu}_1$ and the arrival of customers follows a Poisson process with a rate of ${\lambda}_1$. When the queue length at the service initiation epoch is equal to or greater than $L_1$ and less than $L_2$, the service time is changed to $S_2$ with a mean of $${\mu}_2{\geq_-}{\mu}_1$$. The arrival rate is still ${\lambda}_1$. Finally, if the queue length at the service initiation epoch is greater than $L_2$, the arrival rate of customers are also changed to a value of $${\lambda}_2({\leq_-}{\lambda}_1)$$ and the mean of the service times is ${\mu}_2$. By using the embedded Markov chain method, we derive queue length distribution at departure epochs. We also obtain the queue length distribution at an arbitrary time by the supplementary variable method. Finally, performance measures such as loss probability and mean waiting time are presented.
Electronic security system is composed mainly of electronic-information-communication device, so system technology, configuration and management of the electronic security system could be affected by the change of information-communication environment. This study is to propose the future prospect on the development of technique for electronic security system through the analysis of the trend and the actual condition on the development of technique. This study is based on literature study and interview with user and provider of electronic security system, also survey was carried out by system provider and members of security integration company to come up with more practical result. Hybrid DVR technology that has multi-function such as motion detection, target tracking and image identification is expected to be developed. And 'Embedded IP camera' technology that internet server and image identification software are built in. Those technologies could change the configuration and management of CCTV system. Fingerprint identification technology and face identification technology are continually developed to get more reliability, but continual development of surveillance and three-dimension identification technology for more efficient face identification system is needed. As radio identification and tracking function of RFID is appreciated as very useful for access control system, hardware and software of RFID technology is expected to be developed, but government's support for market revitalization is necessary. Behavior pattern identification sensor technology is expected to be developed and could replace passive infrared sensor that cause system error, giving security guard firm confidence for response. The principle of behavior pattern identification is similar to image identification, so those two technology could be integrated with tracking technology and radio identification technology of RFID for total monitoring system. For more efficient electronic security system, middle-ware's role is very important to integrate the technology of electronic security system, this could make possible of installing the integrated security system.
