As a new medium for knowledge diffusion, E-Journal is expected to be a general type of scholarly communication. However, the techno - economic problems have hindered the advancement of the E-Journal. For the technical aspects, there are problems such as the standardization of document format, automatization of the document preparation, forward and backward link between documents. Also there are necessities for the support of the information infrastructure of digital library and information superhighway. For the economic domain, reengineering of total publishing cycle is considered and the new paradigm of peer review is analyzed. We pointed out that the main difficulties in the diffusion of E-Journal are on the promotion of service and technological advance, not the price and marketing strategy.

Though weight manufacturing has in national gross production is decreasing, it has still a decisive role in economic growth of Korea, and foreign competitiveness of manufacturing has a great influence on our whole economy. Therefore, as this study speculates export competitiveness of manufacturing item by item, the results can be used for selection of strategic export-oriented products. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows: first, products that are found as competitive through analysis of trade specialization indexes are plastic, rubber, fabric, home electronic appliances, computers, communication equipment, automobiles and their spare parts. Second, electronic-electric industry such as semi-conduits, communication equipment, home electronics, computers was decided as advantageous through analysis of comparative advantages at present, while paper, print and publishing, and leather industries were classified as comparatively disadvantageous. Its political implications are presented as follows: Private corporations should develop more advanced technology and government should give more support to secure export competitiveness of manufacturing toward America. Governmental policies should be prepared to induce consistent and daring investment to technology-intensive products for export products with high-added value.

MQTT is a lightweight messaging protocol that can be used for low power IoT devices. The MQTT basically uses single MQTT broker to indirectly share message information between publishers and subscribers. This approach has a weakness in regard to traffic overflow, connection fault, security, etc. In this paper, we propose a distributed MQTT broker architecture that solves the problems in single MQTT broker structure. The distributed MQTT broker architecture is expected to support new application services that cannot be supported by a conventional MQTT architecture. We have designed and implemented a distributed MQTT broker architecture based on the RPL protocol that has been widely used for IoT network. The experiment results show that the proposed MQTT broker architecture represents better publishing/subscribing latency and network stability than the conventional MQTT broker architecture.

수산용 의약품의 목록을 데이터베이스 화 한 어류약물정보시스템엔 상품명, 대상어종, 유효성분, 제조회사명, 적응증(질병) 등 약물에 대한 다양한 자료와 제조회사정보, 식품의 기준 및 규격에 관한 자료가 들어있다. 또한 추후에는 어류 질병에 대한 상세 자료를 데이터베이스 화 한 어류질병정보시스템을 구축할 것이다. 따라서 약물정보시스템과 질병정보시스템을 근간으로 한 어류질병판별시스템에서 질병 판정 후 치료에 필요한 처방전 발행과 약품 주문 등에 응용 활용할 것을 제안한다.

본 연구의 목적은 학회의 학술정보 서비스가 기존의 책자형태로만 이루어지지 않는다는 인식 하에 학회 홈페이지에서의 전자학술지 서비스 현황과 그 유형을 조사하여 개선방안을 제시하는데 있다. 데이터 수집은 279종의 등재학술지를 발간하는 257개 학회를 대상으로 2003년 12월 26일부터 2004년 1월 6일까지 개별학회 홈페이지의 직접 접속을 통하여 이루어졌다. 257개의 학회 중에서 116개 학회(45.1%)가 홈페이지에서 전자학술지를 제공하는 것으로 나타났고, 116개 학회 중에서는 62개 학회(53.4%)가 학회 자체의 노력으로 전자학술지를 제공하는 것으로 조사되었다. 257개 학회, 116개 학회, 62개 학회들이 홈페이지에서 제공하는 전자학술지들은 국가 정보유통기관의 서비스와 각각 비교되었으며, 개별 학회의 전자학술지 서비스 개선방안에 대하여도 논의되었다.

Roll-to-roll based manufacturing plays an important role in producing devices at high speed with lower production cost in printed electronics and publishing industry. Web lateral control is one of the most important factors in improving the quality of product and contributes a considerable point in making devices at micrometer-level accuracy. In recent years, most algorithms proposed for web lateral control base on the Shelton‘s model for designing the feedback control system using the PI controller. Experimental results showed that the existing models do not fully describe the characteristics of the lateral dynamics for some typical operating conditions and so result in poor control algorithms. In this paper, a new lateral control algorithm is proposed for web lateral control system based on back-stepping approach. The outcome of this study proves the reliability throughout simulation results in Matlab/Simulink and comparison with the algorithms based on the existing results.

PDF(Portable Document Format) is a file format that Adobe advances postscritp technique and use in managing document information or electric publishing(internet, CD-ROM, DVD). PDF is a devised document type for being able to read and print anywhere, independent of OS, printer type, resolution, and the kind of computer etc. Because this includes a compressing function, it transfers document through a small size of file in internet or intranet. In addition, that is a file format has various advantages-sharing of information and transfering documents in on line or off line environment. In this paper, we developed electronic document system using PDF format. Electronic document system consists of filter, automatic indexing, special searching system and web server. The information used in this paper is database made using Zwon\`s DocuCom. The filter recognizes various kinds of document structure. And according to property of document, it produces ASCII output. In addition to processing various formats of document, the filter can extract keywords in documents of MS WORD, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF, CAD etc. This filter uses the structure of window printer drive and can extract the information for text, page, font type and size from relevant document. The automatic indexing recognizes the formatted tag of document form ASCII text produced by filter and extracts adequate keyword to structure and property of document. PDF electronic document systems proposed in this paper can be used in Internet, PC communication. Users can choose and read electronic documents by two ways. First, users can choose and read relevant books using PDF electronic document homepage. Second, users can use PDF integrated-search system. User can search after inputing keyword and choose reference field and type of data. But, now, PDF products of Adobe can\`t support the Korean character. If this problem is resolved, we thick that PDF applications system looks active. Although there is limited function in case of using Zwon DocuCom used in this study, we think that there isn\`t a great deal of difficulty in electronic document and building digital database.

이 연구는 급증하고 있는 온라인 전자책의 보존을 위하여 최근 개정 및 개정 준비중인 주요 국가의 온라인 전자출판물 납본과 관련된 법령을 비교 분석하고 이를 기반으로 한국의 온라인 전자책 보존을 위한 납본제도 개선 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 한국의 전자책 보존을 위한 납본제도 개선 방안은 다음 3가지로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 온라인 전자책 보존을 위한 납본 대상 자료로서의 전자책의 명확한 개념 정의와 범주 설정이 필요하다. 둘째, 국내 온라인 전자책 제작환경을 고려한 납본 주체의 구체화 및 명료화가 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 납본 포맷, 납본 부수, 시기, 방식, 보상과 제재조치, 납본자료의 이용과 매체변환과 같은 법률적 조항의 내용 보완이 필요하다.

국내 과학기술분야 학회는 발행 학술지가 세계적인 학술지로 거듭나고자, 국제 색인 DB에 등재하고자 하는 노력이 점차 증가하고 있다. 학회 학술지를 국제 색인 DB에 등재하기 위해서는 해당 색인 DB를 주관하는 단체의 평가요소에 따라 학술지를 체계적으로 운영하고 관리해야 하며, 투명한 상호심사(Peer Review) 과정을 포함하는 학술지 전자 출판과정을 온라인으로 효율적으로 운영해야 한다. KISTI는 국내 학술지가 국제색인 DB에 등재 평가를 받기 위해 시스템적으로 필요한 요소들을 연구하여, 2010년도에 해당 요소들이 반영된 학술지 홈페이지를 포함하는 영문ACOMS(ACOMS Ver. 4.0)를 개발하였다. 영문 ACOMS는 2012년 현재에도 국제적인 시스템으로 거듭나기 위해 지속적인 기능개선을 추진하고 있으며, 현재 JICCE 학술지를 포함한 49종의 학술지에 대해 운영되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 국제색인 DB 등재를 위해 시스템적으로 갖추어야 할 요소들을 기술하고, 영문 ACOMS 활용을 통한 JICCE 학술지의 국제색인 DB 등재 지원 방안을 제시한다.
