Performance Analysis and Efficient Decoding Algorithm for Space-Time Turbo codes (시공간 turbo 부호의 성능 분석과 효율적인 복호 알고리즘)

  • Space-time turbo codes have been studied extensively as a powerful and bandwidth efficient error correction code over the wireless communication environment. In this paper, the efficient algorithm for decoding space-time turbo codes is proposed. The proposed method reduces the computational complexity by approximating a prior information for a iterative decoder. The performance of space-time turbo codes is also analyzed by using the fixed point implementation and the efficient method for approximating the Log-MAP algorithm is proposed. It is shown that the BER performance of the proposed method is close to that of the Log-MAP algorithm.

  • The Ubiquitous life is not a life style that exists in a science fiction or in a far distance future anymore. The Combination of electronic and physical space, this new type of space was created by the ubiquitous network system, and this system will offer us new life style. Also the pattern of our living will be changed by the information that has obtained from this ubiquitous network system. By offering a new way of communication from the ubiquitous surrounding, our life style such as shopping, medical treatment, banking, and working conditions and a notion such as the preference in a job title would have shifted. This study have arrived at the development of the high technology, in other words Ubiquitous age , I have considered the notion of home-network that have observed by the preceding investigators as well as the theoretical consideration of residential space in ubiquitous surrounding. After I look into the usages and examples of residential space in ubiquitous surrounding of today's society, I hope that this would be helpful for the design that strives for the comfortable living in this ubiquitous age.

A Study on Preprocessing Improvement Method for Face Recognition

  • A face recognition is currently the field which many research have been processed actively. But many problems must be solved the previous problem. First, We must recognize the face of the object taking a location various lighting change and change of the camera into account. In this paper, we proposed that new method to find feature within fast and correct computation time after scanning PC camera and ID card picture. It converted RGB color space to YUV. A face skin color extracts which equalize a histogram of Y ingredient without the Luminance. After, the method use V' ingredient which transforms V ingredient of YUV and then find the face feature. The result of the experiment shows getting correct input face image from ID Card picture and camera.

  • As many kinds of transactions and informations move onto the Internet, methods to resolve dispute arising from this trend must also move onto the Internet. The Internet has heightened interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR). Some organizations are using the new technology in the field of dispute resolution, for example, by establishing web sites and offering communications through the Internet. Online ADR provides an attractive solution to an important part of the jurisdictional challenges presented by the Internet. This study reviews the types of online ADR as the dispute settlement way in electronic commerce. Especially this paper points out the task that Korea has to promote the online ADR for more effective and efficient dispute settlements.

  • In this paper, we propose P-SRA (Proposed Simplified Resource Allocation) algorithm for efficient resource allocation for real time traffic in MIMO-OFDMA (Multiple Input Multiple Output - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) systems with V-BLAST (Vertical-Bell laboratories LAyered Space-Time coding) detector. The proposed P-SRA scheme employs efficient 3 step resource allocation algorithm with plain V-BLAST and no H-ARQ, however it achieves comparable performance of a MIMO-OFDMA system utilizing error compensated V-BLAST and H-ARQ IR scheme.

  • RGB 컬러 좌표계상에서는 각 컬러 성분간의 상관도가 매우 높고, 색을 표현할 때 R, G, B 각 성분에 똑같은 대역폭을 주기 때문에 영상의 압축 관점에서 효율적이지 못하다. 대표적인 영상압축 알고리즘인 MPEG-1,MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.263, JPEG, JPEG-2000등에서는 압축 효율을 높이기 위해서 YCbCr 컬러 좌표계를 사용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 좀 더 효율적인 영상 압축을 위해서 새로운 컬러 좌표계를 제안하고자 한다. 제안하는 컬러 좌표계는 DCT 커널에 기반을 두고 있다. DCT 컬러 좌표계는 각각의 커널끼리 직교하며, 빠른 연산이 가능하고, 구조가 간단하다. 실험결과, DCT 컬러 좌표계의 신호들의 분산이 YCbCr 컬러 좌표계의 신호들의 분산보다 작은 경향을 보이며, 동일한 비트율에서 작은 MSE (Mean Square Error)를 가지는 것을 실험적으로 알 수 있다.

  • The robot has recently emerged as a factor in the daily lives of humans, taking the form of a mechanical pet or similar source of entertainment. A robot system that is designed to co-exist with humans, i.e., a coexistence-type robot system, is important to be "it exists in various environments with the person, and robot system by which the interaction of n physical, informational emotion with the person etc. was valued". When studying the impact of intimacy in the human/robot relationship, we have to examine the problems that can arise as a result of physical intimacy(coordination on safety in the hardware side and a soft side). Furthermore, We should also consider the informational aspects of intimacy (recognition technology, and information transport and sharing).

  • Consumers have collected information and sought advices from other consumer through Internet. They could collect information in virtual space (online) not real world, that is Electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM). This study focused on research the factors on effect in Electronic Word-of-Mouth (eWOM) in the open market which is mediate between individuals and online stores. This is an exploratory study for research on finding factors of effect in eWOM. First of all, 5factors are selected from interview with 31 consumers. Then online surveys are conducted and 5 factors are significantly supported. This study is academically new approach on an exploratory study and it could suggest marketers to strategically manage eWOM.

  • Let X be a Banach space and ${\psi}$ a continuous convex function on ${\Delta}_{K+1}$ satisfying certain conditions. Let $(X{\bigoplus}X{\bigoplus}{\cdots}{\bigoplus}X)_{\psi}$ be the ${\psi}$-direct sum of X. In this paper, we characterize the K strict convexity, K uniform convexity and uniform non-$l^N_1$-ness of Banach spaces using ${\psi}$-direct sums.
