In this paper, the author proposes a tangible electronic dice which can be used for IPTV games for familiy meeting in living room and prevents game addiction of young children. The tangible electronic dice was designed to be as similar to traditional dices as possible in order for people to operate the tangible electronic dice with direct and intuitive manipulation. The proposed tangible electronic dice is self-contained so that no external devices are needed. The experiments show that the dice can be effectively applied to games running in PC and IPTV environments. The author will verify the practicality of the dice by applying the dice to IPTV games which are currently being developed.

The aim of present work was to fabricate the piezoelectric composite materials of low megahertz applications such as non-destructive testing of materials. Among all the various composites, those with PZT rods embedded in Spurrs epoxy with regular periodicity (1-3 connectivity) was fabricated by dice and fill method. The fabricated size of the PZT cell were 0.18X0.18, 0.28X0.28mm$^2$, respectively. And the volume ratio of the PZT cell were 52, 64%, respectively. The resonant frequency and anti-resonant frequency of the composites were 3.5 MHz and 4.3MHz, respectively. The piezoelectric coupling coefficient were about 38 and 37% and the mechanical quality factor were about 12.7 and 22. These value were very different from these of bulk PZT Plate.

The random dopant fluctuation (RDF) effects of tunneling field-effect transistors (TFETs) have been observed by using atomistic 3-D device simulation. Due to extremely low body doping concentration, the RDF effects of TFETs have not been seriously investigated. However, in this paper, it has been found that the randomly generated and distributed source dopants increase the variation of threshold voltage ($V_{th}$), drain induced current enhancement (DICE) and subthreshold slope (SS) of TFETs. Also, some ways of relieving the RDF effects of TFETs have been presented.
In this paper, we introduce the SSResUNet network model, which integrates the SPADE structure with the U-Net network model for accurate land cover classification using high-resolution satellite imagery without requiring user intervention. The proposed network possesses the advantage of preserving the spatial characteristics inherent in satellite imagery, rendering it a robust classification model even in intricate environments. Experimental results, obtained through training on KOMPSAT-3A satellite images, exhibit superior performance compared to conventional U-Net and U-Net++ models, showcasing an average Intersection over Union (IoU) of 76.10 and a Dice coefficient of 86.22.
In the case of a AIGalnP/GaP system rectangular parallelepiped high brightness LED which has side walls etched to be slanted off the vertical direction, we have studied the effects of lossy electrodes and material absorption and etching depth and angle of side walls on its light extraction efficiency. If LEDs have no electrodes, in order to obtain an 80% light extraction efficiency of a TIP (truncated inverted pyramid) LED, the side-etched LEDs should have an etching angle of 22$^{\circ}$~45$^{\circ}$ and an etching depth of 8~17% of a dice height and an absorption coefficient less than 1 $cm^{-1}$ / In case of etching depth of 16~39% of a dice height, we can obtain a 90% light extraction efficiency of a TIP LED. But when LEDs have two electrodes and no absorption loss, in order to obtain an 80% light extraction efficiency of a TIP LEBs, the side-etched LEDs should have an etching angle of 25$^{\circ}$-45$^{\circ}$ and an etching depth of 30~36% of a dice height. In case of etching depth of 57~71% of a dice height, we can obtain a 90% light extraction efficiency of a TIP LED.
As the existing edutainment contents for children are mostly comprised of educational tools which unilaterally induce educatees to passively respond to them, the content-creating methodologies in terms of which active and voluntary learning is made possible is urgently needed. In this paper, we present the implementation of the tangible 'electronic dice' interface as an interactive tool for behavior-based edutainment contents, and propose a methodology for developing edutainment contents for children by utilizing the recognition technique of hand movement based on depth-image information. Also proposed in the paper are an authoring and management tool of learning quizzes that allows educators to set up and manage their learning courseware, and a log analysis system of learning achievement for real-time monitoring of educational progress. The behavior-based tangible interface and edutainment contents that we propose provide the easy-to-operate interaction with a real object, which augments educatees' interest in learning, thus leading to their active and voluntary attitude toward learning. Furthermore, The authoring and management tool and log analysis system allow us to construct learning programs by children's achievement level and to monitor in real-time the learning development of children educatees by understanding the situation and behavior of their learning development from the analytic results obtained by observing the processes of educatees' solving problems for themselves, and utilizing them for evaluation materials for lesson plans.

We have investigated on the development of 2-2 mode piezocomposites that have better piezoelectric activity and lower acoustic impedance than those of conventional piezoceramics. In this study, we have investigated the electrical properties and acoustic impedance of 2-2 mode piezocomposite which were fabricated using the dice-and-fill technique for the different volume fractions of PZT The volume shrinkage of polymer is an important factor in 2-2 mode piezocomposites fabrication. The thickness mode electromechanical coupling factor($\kappa_t$) of PZT was compared with that of piezocomposites. It was shown that the 2-2 mode piezocomposites were much better than the PZT only. The acoustic impedance of 2-2 mode piezocomposites decreased linearly when PZT volume fraction was decreased.

A fetoscope is an optical endoscope, which is often applied in fetoscopic laser photocoagulation to treat twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. In an operation, the clinician needs to observe the abnormal placental vessels through the endoscope, so as to guide the operation. However, low-quality imaging and narrow field of view of the fetoscope increase the difficulty of the operation. Introducing an accurate placental vessel segmentation of fetoscopic images can assist the fetoscopic laser photocoagulation and help identify the abnormal vessels. This study proposes a method to solve the above problems. A novel encoder-decoder network with a dual-path structure is proposed to segment the placental vessels in fetoscopic images. In particular, we introduce a channel attention mechanism and a continuous convolution structure to obtain multi-scale features with their weights. Moreover, a switching connection is inserted between the corresponding blocks of the two paths to strengthen their relationship. According to the results of a set of blood vessel segmentation experiments conducted on a public fetoscopic image dataset, our method has achieved higher scores than the current mainstream segmentation methods, raising the dice similarity coefficient, intersection over union, and pixel accuracy by 5.80%, 8.39% and 0.62%, respectively.

A packaging technology based on flip-chip bonding and Pb-free solder for silicon pressure sensors on printed circuit board (PCB) is presented. First, the bump formation process was conducted by Pb-free solder. Ag-Sn-Cu solder and the pressed-screen printing method were used to fabricate solder bumps. The fabricated solder bumps had $189-223{\mu}m$ width, $120-160{\mu}m$ thickness, and 5.4-6.9 standard deviation. Also, shear tests was conducted to measure the bump shear strength by a Dage 2400 PC shear tester; the average shear strength was 74 g at 0.125 mm/s of test speed and $5{\mu}m$ shear height. Then, silicon pressure sensor packaging was implemented using the Pb-free solder and bump formation process. The characteristics of the pressure sensor were analogous to the results obtained when the pressure sensor dice are assembled and packaged using the standard wire-bonding technique.

To assist radiologists for the characterization of breast masses, Computer-aided Diagnosis(CADx) system has been studied. The CADx system can improve the diagnostic accuracy of radiologists by providing objective information about breast masses. Morphological and texture features were extracted from the breast ultrasound images. Based on extracted features, the CADx system retrieves masses that are similar to a query mass from a reference library using a k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) approach. Eight similarity measures of distance, Euclidean, Chebyshev(Minkowski family), Canberra, Lorentzian($F_2$ family), Wave Hedges, Motyka(Intersection family), and Cosine, Dice(Inner Product family) are evaluated by ROC(Receiver Operating Characteristic) analysis. The Inner Product family measure used with the k-NN classifier provided slightly higher performance for classification of malignant and benign masses than those with the Minkowski, $F_2$, and Intersection family measures.
