Exploratory Investigation for Some Universities' E-Learning Systems during Covid-19 Pandemic

  • COVID pandemic has reshaped the world as it has been known to us and the education system is one of the most affected by it. Due to social distancing, quarantines and isolations have made it impossible for the knowledge transition to the masses using conventional methods. For cope with pandemic, the only other way available for some of the fortunate countries is the use of E-learning having somewhat the same traditional teaching method. This paper is concerned with the study of the preparedness of the learning system in some Sudanese universities due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Critical analysis has been performed to evaluate the current developing scenario, usage of the facilities available in open-source platforms, and the interaction of the universities folks with e-learning systems. The impact of such measures has been thoroughly investigated in this paper for Sudan which is already deprived of a proper education system. The investigation shows that the interact of the staff and the students with the system was acceptable where more than 85% of those enrolled to the system were interact properly and efficiently. The lecturers conducted through the platform were attended with more than 75% of the students. We also found that most of the lecturer were avoid to exam students by utilize the platform; where only 45% of the uploaded courses were conducted exams over Moodle platform. As Moodle is an open source and still need to be improved to be used for high examination credibility.

단기 집중 이수제 지식연결 능력배양형 공학교육 과정용 교과 운영에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Operation of Subjects for Engineering Curriculum to Knowledge Connection Ability Cultivation Type in the Short-Term Intensive)

  • K대학교 차원에서 집중이수형 전공 지식 연결 과목으로 개설된 교과목에 대해, '콜라주(collage)' 명칭으로 2022학년 1학기에 전자공학전공학생(21명)들과 다른 14개 전공 학생들(26명)과 함께 47명의 수강인원을 구성하여, 융합형 5주 이수형 독립과목으로 진행하였고, 대상자에 대해 리커트(Likert) 5점 척도의 10개 문항들에 대한 응답 결과를 정리하였다. 정리된 결과들을 4개 항목들(신뢰도, 정규성, 상관성, 집단간 평균차 유효성)을 대상으로 검정을 진행하였고, 학습 주제의 난이도와 수강자의 학년에 따라 학습의 만족도에 차이가 있음을 확인하였으며, 상관성이 높은 5개 설문 항목들에서 수강자 65% 이상의 학생들이 '보통' 이상의 긍정 평가로 응답했음을 확인하였다.

NCS 기반 의료정보관리를 위한 퇴원분석 교육프로그램 개발 (The Development of Discharge Analysis Educational Program on NCS-Based for Medical Information Management)

  • 본 연구에서는 NCS 기반 의료정보관리 직무수행을 위한 교육과정을 수행하고, 학습자의 실무지식을 이해할 수 있는 프로그램을 제작하였다. 이 프로그램은 의무기록의 데이터를 발생시키고 저장한 후 의무기록의 데이터를 분석하여 의료정보를 생성할 수 있는 교육용 프로그램이다. 의무기록의 내용이 다양하고 의무기록의 양적 차이가 있기 때문에 교육용 데이터의 표준을 위해 퇴원분석 프로그램에 의무기록의 내용을 요약하고 저장할 수 있도록 하였다. 프로그램을 사용하여 의료정보관리 NCS 능력단위 요소인 의료용어 DB, 의료용어 관련 DB, 진료관련 DB를 구축하고 관리할 수 있다. 다음은 프로그램 운영을 통해 학습 할 수있는 내용이다. 첫 번째로 데이터베이스의 구조를 이해하여 의료정보 DB 관리규정을 작성할 수 있다. 두 번째로 퇴원분석 프로그램에 입력하는 진단코드 및 의료행위코드의 구조와 기능을 이해할 수 있다. 또한 퇴원분석 프로그램에서 입력된 진단코드 및 의료행위코드들을 각 필드별로 검색하고 분석할 수 있다. 세 번째로 데이터를 입력하고 추출하여 의료정보를 생성함으로써 의료정보관리 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 퇴원분석 프로그램을 이용하여 학생들이 의무기록의 데이터를 발생시키고 분석하여 의료정보를 생성함으로써 의료정보관리에 대한 지식을 습득하고 실무능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하였다.

기록 평가의 표준화 - ISO 15489 개정판에서의 평가 원리 및 절차 분석 - (The Standardization on the Appraisal of Records: Analysis of the Appraisal Principles and Process in ISO 15489-1:2016)

  • 최근 ISO 15489 개정판에서는 기록의 평가에 관한 표준화를 시도하였다. 어떠한 기록이 중요하며 어떠한 방식으로 선별할지는 국가 및 지역, 조직마다 서로 상이하기 때문에 그동안 표준화된 원칙 및 방법론 적용이 어려웠고, 이러한 이유로 인해 평가를 둘러싸고 수많은 이론 및 방법론이 제기되어 왔다. 하지만 ISO 15489 개정판에서는 평가에 대한 새로운 시각을 기반으로 최근의 기록생산 환경에서 전 세계적으로 적용 가능한 평가의 표준화 기반을 마련하였다. ISO 15489는 레코드 컨티뉴엄 이론을 기초로 전자기록 환경에 부합하는 기록관리의 원칙 및 방법론을 제시한다는 점에서, ISO 15489 개정판에서 제시하는 평가 원리 및 방식은 심층적으로 분석될 필요가 있다. 이에 본고에서는 최근의 전자기록 환경에 부합하는 평가 상의 개선방향 모색을 위한 일환으로, ISO 15489 개정판에서 제시하는 평가의 개념 및 논리를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 우선 ISO 15489 개정판의 평가 논리가 도출된 배경 파악을 위해, AS 4390의 제정부터 ISO 5489 개정작업이 이루어지게 된 연원을 고찰하였다. 이를 기반으로 ISO 15489 개정판에서 제시하는 평가 개념 및 논리를 고찰한 후, 중요기록 선별의 전제가 되는 평가의 준거 및 절차를 분석하였다.

외상환자의 치료에서 외상 전문간호사 도입 결과 (Outcomes for Employment of a Trauma Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Treatment of Trauma Patients)

  • Purpose: Ongoing treatment and care, as well as initial stabilization, are required for trauma patients. With increasing number of sickest trauma patients and shortage of surgeons, the need for advanced practice nurse to provide and coordinate trauma care has been greater. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of hiring a trauma clinical nurse specialist and its influence on the treatment of trauma patients. Methods: Based on the employment of the clinical nurse specialist in December 2010, the patients were divided into two groups: patients admitted from January 1, 2010 to November 30, 2010 and patients admitted from December 1, 2010 to December 31, 2011. Retrospectively, data were collected using electronic medical records. The general characteristics, clinical courses, and ICU re-admission rates, collaboration (transfers to other departments and collaborative surgery) were compared. Results: To have a clinical nurse specialist on the trauma team resulted in a statistically significant reductions in the length of general ward hospital stay (p<0.05), the ICU re-admission rate, (p<0.03), the lead-time before transfer to other departments (p<0.05). Conclusion: The clinical nurse specialist, as a professional practitioner, improved the quality of treatment through early detection and management of problems. In addition, as a coordinator, the clinical nurse specialist maintained a cooperative relationship with multi-disciplinary medical personnel. The trauma clinical nurse specialist contributed to the treatment of trauma patients positively through a decrease in ICU re-admission rate and length of hospital stay.

Phentermine 및 Phendimetrazine으로 유발된 정신병적 장애 및 양극성 장애 증례군 연구 (Phentermine and Phendimetrazine-Induced Psychotic Disorder and Bipolar Disorder: A Case Series)

  • Objectives Recently, weight loss has emerged as a national concern in South Korea, and this has resulted in an increase in the frequency of use of central nervous system (CNS)-stimulating appetite suppressants. This study aimed to collect cases of psychotic disorders and bipolar disorders triggered by phentermine and phendimetrazine and explore the clinical features and courses. Methods In this retrospective study, we analyzed the electronic medical records of patients and selected eight patients who developed psychotic symptoms and manic symptoms for the first time after taking phentermine and phendimetrazine. All cases were reviewed, and their clinical features and course were summarized. Results All eight patients developed psychotic symptoms, and one had accompanying manic symptoms. The final diagnosis was appetite-suppressant-induced psychotic disorder in four patients, schizophrenia in three, and appetite-suppressant-induced bipolar disorder in one. In addition, three patients were diagnosed as having substance-use disorder. The key psychotic symptoms of these patients were hallucinations and paranoia. Conclusions These case findings suggest that phentermine and phendimetrazine can cause psychotic disorder, bipolar disorder, or substance use disorder and that medical professionals and the public should practice caution when prescribing and using these drugs.

수정에 의한 Mouse egg의 세포막전류 변화 (Changes in the inward current and membrane conductance after fertilization in the mouse eggs)

  • Changes in the both inward current and conductance of membrane by the fertilization were observed using the one microelectrode voltage clamp(or switch clamp) technique. Unfertilized eggs and both 1- and 2-cell stage eggs after fertilization were donated from the superovulated mouse (ICR, more than 6 weeks old) treated with PMSG(pregnant mare serum gonadotropin, Sigma) and HCG(human chorionic gonadotropin, Sigma) and naturally mated ones, respectively in this experiment. Membrane potential was held at -90mV and the voltage step was applied from -80mV to 50mV with interval of 10mV or 20mV for 300ms. since both of amplitudes and time courses in the membrane currents were various according to the states of cells and clamping condition, results were presented by their $averages{\pm}SEM$(standard mean error)and ratios or percentages. Inward currents began to appear in response to the step depolarization from -60mV and reached its maximum at -50mV. However, since the potential was not clamped evenly during the voltage step, current-voltage(I-V) relationship might be positively shifted 10 or 20mV. From the steady-state currents plotted in the I-V curve, outward rectification was markedly observed. Peak inward currents$(i_{in})$ at -50mV were $-0.62{\pm}0.23nA$(n=4),$-0.52{\pm}0.25nA$(n=5) and $-0.37{\pm}0.25nA$(n=6), in the 1-cell stage, 2-cell stage fertilized eggs and in the unfertilized eggs, respectively. Pure inward current (difference between steady-state and peak, $i_{in. pure}$) were $-1.01{\pm}0.23nA$, $-0.69{\pm}0.43nA$ and $-0.68{\pm}0.29nA$, respectively in the 1-cell stage fertilized eggs, unfertilized eggs and 2-cell stage fertilized eggs. These results suggested that the outward current in fertilized eggs of 2-cell stage was more increased than those in the unfertilized eggs. Pure inward currents in the all stages of eggs showed a similar fashion in the I-V relationship from -50mV to 50mV and reversal potential at 50mV. Time constant of inactivation$({\tau})$ in the inward current was decreased as the membrane potential was depolarized in the unfertilized and 2-cell stage eggs but in the 1-cell stage eggs t was not likely to be affected significantly. Slope conductances were 14.2nS, 8.9n5 and 7.7nS in the 1-cell, 2-cell stage fertilized eggs and the unfertilized eggs, respectively. Membranes between two cells within a zona pellucida seem to be electrical-connected in the 2-cell stage eggs from the observation made in the analysis for the electronic spread and decay to the current stimuli. Both of inward current and membrane conductance were increased after fertilization in the mouse eggs. Inward current seems to be carried by the same ion or through the same channels up to the 2-cell stage and ion that carried inward current was thought to play important function after fertilization in the mouse eggs.
