In this paper, we studied the effects of the electron reflection on shadow mask on which the electron reflecting materials with $WO_3-ZnS:Cu.Al-PbO-SiO_2$ system were screen-printed and we evaluated the variation of the electron beam mislanding in CRT. As a result, the green emitted spectra on the electron reflecting layer are observed due to the transformation of the electron energy, when the electron impacted on shadow mask. The beam mislanding is reduced about 40% in comperision with that of CRT made by the conventional method.
To reduce the doming of the shadow mask due to thermal expansion and to prevent the color discrepancy, the electron reflecting layer with lead tungsten oxides on the electron gun side of shadow mask was formed by screen printing method and doming property was evaluated in CRT. First, the lead tungsten oxides were prepared by calcining the mixture of lead oxide and tungsten oxide above 600$^{\circ}C$. Second, the paste which has the anti-doming composition including the lead tungsten oxides was coated by screen-printing method. As a result, the doming of the shadow mask was reduced about from 30 to 45%.
Fine structure of the cutaneous pigments in the black widow spider, Latrodectus mactans are studied with light and electron microscopes. The cutaneous pigments are only observed in epidermal layer just beneath the cuticle. These pigments are compactly distributed around the spinnerets which located at caudal area of the abdomen. According to the fine structural characteristics of the pigment granules, two main types of guanine pigment granules-carotenoid vesicles and reflecting platelets - are observed in the cytoplasm of the epidermal cells. Morphological features of these pigment granules are characterized as the electron dense carotenoid vesicles and the electron lucent reflecting platelets. Marginal electron density of the carotenoid vesicle is different from that of internal region, whereas the reflecting platelets have laminated crystalline granules. Typiral structures of these pigment granules are very similar to those of invertebrate's chromatophores, especially erythrophores and iridophores. Moreover differentiation of these pigment granules are also originated from the small vesicles of Golgi complexes similarly to those of cutaneous chromatophores.

This study describes the cell type, ultrastructure and histochemical characteristics as a preliminary study for the research on integument of the smooth lumpsucker, Aptocyclus ventricosus in accordance with the physiological and environmental changes using light and electron microscopes. The SEM revealed the presence of well-developed finger printing structure in the skin surface. The skin surface of the smooth lumpsucker showed an irregular folds in cross section of light microscope. Integument is composed of outer epidermal and inner dermal layer. The epidermal layer is a stratified layer composed of epithelial cells, mucous cells, vacuolar cells, and granular cells. Epithelial cells are classified into superficial, intermediated, and basal cell. The superficial cells were the squamous with well-developed microridges on the free surface, and the microridges were covered with glycocalyx. The mucous cells of unicellular gland were mainly distributed in the apical layer of epidermis and contained mucosal materials of neutral glycoprotein. The vacuolar cells of unicellular gland were mainly distributed in the mid and basal layer of epidermis. The proportion of mucous cells and vacuolar cells were $7.0({\pm}1.07)%$ and $40.6({\pm}3.31)%$ of epidermal area, respectively. The granular cells contained membrane bounded secretory granules with high electron density and developed cell organelles in the cytoplasm. The dermal layer was loose connective tissue layer and composed of mainly collagen fibers. It also contained blood vessels and chromatophores of melanophores and reflecting platelets.
In a simulation study of atomic resolution transmission electron microscope images of single layer and bilayer graphene, it is demonstrated that the conventional Bloch wave formulations can be used when high-order Laue zone reflections are properly taken into account in the theory. The simulated images for bilayer graphene show 3-fold rotational lattice symmetry rather than the 6-fold one under certain conditions. This result can be understood as revealed the 3-fold rotational lattice symmetry of bilayer graphene in three dimensions along [0001]. For single layer graphene the observed phase images showing 3-fold rotational lattice symmetry were particularly noted. This phenomenon has been explained by an assumption of the re-configuration of electron density on the surface of graphene. And the matching images have been obtained as simulated with up to the second order Laue zone reflections only, reflecting the re-configuration of electrons on the surface.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) belong to an ideal material for field emitters because of their superior electrical, mechanical, and chemical properties together with unique geometric features. Several applications of CNTs to field emitters have been demonstrated in electron emission devices such as field emission display (FED), backlight unit (BLU), X-ray source, etc. In this study, we fabricated a CNT cathode by using filtration processes. First, an aqueous CNT solution was prepared by ultrasonically dispersing purified single-walled CNTs (SWCNTs) in deionized water with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). The aqueous CNT solution in a milliliter or even several tens of micro-litters was filtered by an alumina membrane through the vacuum filtration, and an ultra-thin CNT film was formed onto the alumina membrane. Thereafter, the alumina membrane was solvated by acetone, and the floating CNT film was easily transferred to indium-tin-oxide (ITO) glass substrate in an area defined as 1 cm with a film mask. The CNT film was subjected to an activation process with an adhesive roller, erecting the CNTs up to serve as electron emitters. In order to measure their luminance characteristics, an ITO-coated glass substrate having phosphor was employed as an anode plate. Our field emitter array (FEA) was fairly transparent unlike conventional FEAs, which enabled light to emit not only through the anode frontside but also through the cathode backside, where luminace on the cathode backside was higher than that on the anode frontside. Futhermore, we added a reflecting metal layer to cathode or anode side to enhance the luminance of light passing through the other side. In one case, the metal layer was formed onto the bottom face of the cathode substrate and reflected the light back so that light passed only through the anode substrate. In the other case, the reflecting layer coated on the anode substrate made all light go only through the cathode substrate. Among the two cases, the latter showed higher luminance than the former. This study will discuss the morphologies and field emission characteristics of CNT emitters according to the experimental parameters in fabricating the lamps emitting light on the both sides or only on the either side.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are attractive material because of their superior electrical, mechanical, and chemical properties. Furthermore, their geometric features such as a large aspect ratio and a small radius of curvature at tip make them ideal for low-voltage field emission devices including backlight units of liquid crystal display, lighting lamps, X-ray source, microwave amplifiers, electron microscopes, etc. In field emission devices for display applications, the phosphor anode is positioned against the CNT emitters. In most case, light generated from the phosphor by electron bombardment passes through the anode front plate to reach observers. However, light is produced in a narrow depth of the surface of the phosphor layer because phosphor particles are big as much as several micrometers, which means that it is necessary to transmit through the phosphor layer. Hence, a drop of light intensity is unavoidable during this process. In this study, we fabricated a transparent cathode back plate by depositing an ultra-thin film of single walled CNTs (SWCNTs) on an indium tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass substrate. Two types of phosphor anode plates were employed to our transparent cathode back plate: One is an ITO glass substrate with a phosphor layer and the other is a Cr-coated glass substrate with phosphor layer. For the former case, light was radiated from both the front and the back sides, where luminance on the back was ~30% higher than that on the front in our experiments. For the other case, however, light was emitted only from the cathode back side as the Cr layer on the anode glass rolled as a reflecting mirror, improving the light luminance as much as ~60% compared with that on the front of one. This study seems to be discussed about the morphologies and field emission characteristics of CNT emitters according to the experimental parameters in fabricating the lamps emitting light on the both sides or only on the cathode back side. The experimental procedures are as follows. First, a CNT aqueous solution was prepared by ultrasonically dispersing purified SWCNTs in deionized water with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). A milliliter or even several tens of micro-liters of CNT solution was deposited onto a porous alumina membrane through vacuum filtration. Thereafter, the alumina membrane was solvated with the 3 M NaOH solution and the floating CNT film was easily transferred to an ITO glass substrate. It is required for CNT film to make standing CNTs up to serve as electron emitter through an adhesive roller activation.
A study on the visual cell and eyeball of the endemic Korean species Liobagrus mediadiposalis was investigated by light and electron microscopes. The retina of a small and 2 mm-diameter round eye was thin, $151.0{\pm}4.0{\mu}m$ and has two visual cells, a single cone and a rod cell. The single cone cells are short and thick, $18.0{\pm}0.9{\mu}m$ in length and $5.1{\pm}0.7{\mu}m$ (n=30) in diameter, while the rod cells are longer and thinner, $54.8{\pm}2.9{\mu}m$ in length and $3.3{\pm}0.6{\mu}m$ in diameter. The cone cells are seen an irregular and random mosaic pattern, and the rod cells are also randomly situated at between cone cells. As a rare phenomenon, such structure is one of characteristics reflecting the eye of a nocturnal and bottom-dwelling freshwater fish. The ultrastructure of visual cells was observed with scanning and transmission electron microscopy, both cone and rod cells are divided into an inner segment with numerous mitochondria and an outer segment with stacks of membrane discs.
Microcircuit fabrication requires precise control of impurities in tiny regions of the silicon. These regions must be interconnected to create components and VLSI circuits. The patterns to define such regions are created by lithographic processes. In order to image features smaller than 70 nm, it is necessary to employ non-optical technology (or next generation lithography: NGL). One such NGL is extreme ultra-violet lithography (EUVL). EUVL transmits the pattern on the wafer surface after reflecting ultra-violet through mask pattern. If particles exist on the blank mask, it can't transmit the accurate pattern on the wafer and decrease the reflectivity. It is important to care the blank mask. We removed the particles on the wafer using focused ion beam (FIB). During removal, FIB beam caused damage the multi layer mask and it decreased the reflectivity. The relationship between particle removal and reflectivity is examined: i) transmission electron microscope (TEM) observation after particle removal, ii) reflectivity simulation. It is found that the image mode of FIB is more effective for particle removal than spot and bar mode.
To provide basic information on the integumentary system of the blenny, Pholis nebulosa, ultrastructures of epidermal and dermal layer were examined by means of the light and transmission electron microscope. The skin of the blenny consisted of epidermal and dermal layer. Epidermal layer consisted of supporting cell and unicellular gland. The supporting cells were classified into superficial cell, intermediated cell and basal cell, and the gland cells were classified into mucous secretory cell and club cell. The cytoplasm of supporting cells was divided into cortex and medullar part. In the cortex and medullar part, microfilaments and cell organelles were well developed, respectively. Superficial cell of epidermal layer was cuboidal and contained nucleus of horseshoe shape. Intermediated cell had a nucleus of irregular form and the electron density was higher than the other supporting cells, Basal cell was columnar, but nucleus was situated in the upper cytoplasm. Cell organelles of the basal cell were poor than the other supporting cells, but membrane interdigitations were well developed. The cytoplasm of mucous secretory cell had a well-developed ovoid secretory granules, which reacted to red with AB-PAS reaction. The club cell had a we31-developed round secretory granules and endoplasmic reticulum. figment cells were classified into two type. The one contained pigment granules of electron dense, and the other contained reflecting platelets. The cytoplasm of fibrocyte had n well developed rough endoplasmic reticulum.
