자성 페라이트 용사피막의 전자파 차폐 특성 (Electromagnetic Wave Shield Characteristics of Thermal Sprayed Ferrite Coatings)

  • In these days, many advanced nations have enforced import restrictions against things emitting electromagnetic wave which has report that it is so harmful. In general, electromagnetic wave is composed of electric wave and magnetic wave. The reflection of electromagnetic wave is mainly reflected by conductive materials and the magnetism loss is generated by magnetic ferrite. The magnetism loss of ferrite is separated by eddy current loss, residual magnetism loss and hysteresis loss. Thermal sprayed coating is intended to manufacture because of simple processes and high efficient electromagnetic wave shielding. The high efficient thermal sprayed coatings were made from the magnetic ferrite materials that characterizes absorption of electromagnetic wave, and the electric conductive materials that characterize emitting of electromagnetic wave. This study was manufactured thermal sprayed coatings to improve absorption-efficiency, and measured the electromagnetic wave shielding efficiency. As the experimental results, high electromagnetic wave shield efficiency was obtained at wave frequency 2GHz to thermal sprayed ferrite coatings manufactured by size distribution range of spray powders, $38~88\mu\textrm{m}$.

  • A comprehensive thermo-electromagnetic model has been developed to estimate temperature and electromagnetic distribution in an three-phase induction motor under steady state operation. Electromagnetic modeling enables us to predict thermal dissipation rates by eddy-current loss and copper loss in induction motors. Non-uniform temperature distributions are investigated to account for the strong effect of local temperature build-up on the motor performance and expected life-span. For more accurate thermal modeling purpose, Heat loss mapping method, which is matched up with electromagnetic losses and volumetric heat source, is developed and performed analysis. Heat loss mapping method can be greatly used as a design or diagnostic tool for three-phase induction motors with complex structural electromagnetic fields.

Numerical Analysis of Loss Power Properties in the Near-Field Electromagnetic Wave Through A Microstrip Line for Multilayer Magnetic Films with Different Levels of Electrical Conductivity

  • There are few reports of high frequency loss behavior in the near-field for magnetic films with semiconducting properties, even though semiconducting magnetic materials, such as soft magnetic amorphous alloys and nanocrystalline thin films, have been demonstrated. The electromagnetic loss behavior of multilayer magnetic films with semiconducting properties on the microstrip line in quasi-microwave frequency band was analyzed numerically using a commercial finite-element based electromagnetic solver. The large increase in the absorption performance and broadband characteristics of the semiconducting/insulating layer magnetic films examined in this study were attributed to an increase in the loss factor of resistive loss. The electromagnetic reflection increased significantly with increasing conductivity, and the loss power deteriorated significantly. The numerical results of the magnetic field distribution showed that a strong radiated signal on the microstrip line was emitted with increasing conductivity and decreasing film thickness due to re-reflection of the radiated wave from the surface of the magnetic film, even though the emitted levels varied with film thickness.

  • Core loss of soft magnetic powder cores have been focused on to achieve high efficiency of power supplies. In this study the effects of crystal grain size on core loss were investigated by changing heat treatment conditions. It was found that core loss is influenced by crystal grain size because eddy current loss decreased and hysteresis loss increased by making crystal grain size smaller, and it is also influenced by particle size.

A hybrid model of regional path loss of wireless signals through the wall

  • Wall obstruction is the main factor leading to the non-line of sight (NLoS) error of indoor localization based on received signal strength indicator (RSSI). Modeling and correcting the path loss of the signals through the wall will improve the accuracy of RSSI localization. Based on electromagnetic wave propagation theory, the reflection and transmission process of wireless signals propagation through the wall is analyzed. The path loss of signals through wall is deduced based on power loss and RSSI definition, and the theoretical model of path loss of signals through wall is proposed. In view of electromagnetic characteristic parameters of the theoretical model usually cannot be accurately obtained, the statistical model of NLoS error caused by the signals through the wall is presented based on the log-distance path loss model to solve the parameters. Combining the statistical model and theoretical model, a hybrid model of path loss of signals through wall is proposed. Based on the empirical values of electromagnetic characteristic parameters of the concrete wall, the effect of each electromagnetic characteristic parameters on path loss is analyzed, and the theoretical model of regional path loss of signals through the wall is established. The statistical model and hybrid model of regional path loss of signals through wall are established by RSSI observation experiments, respectively. The hybrid model can solve the problem of path loss when the material of wall is unknown. The results show that the hybrid model can better express the actual trend of the regional path loss and maintain the pass loss continuity of adjacent areas. The validity of the hybrid model is verified by inverse computation of the RSSI of the extended region, and the calculated RSSI is basically consistent with the measured RSSI. The hybrid model can be used to forecast regional path loss of signals through the wall.

비용 효율이 높은 24kV급 고압배전반 개발을 위한 Bus Bar 사이즈에 따른 전·자기 손실 특성 분석 (A Study on the Characteristics of the Electric Field and Electromagnetic Loss according to Bus Bar Size for a cost-effective 24kV High Voltage Switchgear)

  • The analysis on the bus bar effect is conducted to develop a cost effective 24kV/2,000A switchgear. The temperature enclosures and bus bars could rise due to several heat sources such as eddy current losses and copper losses. Therefore, a study on the characteristics of the electric field intensity and electromagnetic loss according to the bus bar size in a bus bar compartment is essential to design a electrically reliable high voltage switchgear. It is investigated that the electromagnetic influence to the temperature rising and the dielectric stability according to various bus bar sizes by using finite element method(FEM). The electric field intensity and electromagnetic loss according to various bus bar sizes are calculated to design a reliable and a high voltage switchgear. As results, it is found that the electromagnetic loss and the dielectric stability of bus bar could be determined by a bus bar size. It means that a cost effective 24kV/2,000A high voltage switchgear could be developed by selecting the proper size of a bus bar. Also, it is recognized that the electromagnetic characteristics according to various bus bar sizes in order to design an electrically stable high voltage switchgear when the enclosure size is determined as a fixed value. Futhermore, studies on the various nominal voltage class and bus bar sizes will be conducted to develop a cost effective high voltage switchgear.

Complex Antenna Factors of EMI Antenna with Coaxial Cable Balun for Measuring Electromagnetic Fields

  • The purpose of this paper is to present the complex antenna factor of an EMI dipole antenna with a balun consisting of two coaxial feeders(coaxial cable balun) for measuring electromagnetic fields. A new formula of complex antenna factors for an EMI antenna with coaxial cable balun is derived using by power loss concepts. The complex antenna factor shows that the present result in this study was identical with that of the result from S-parameters. The theoretical complex antenna factors derived by power loss concepts are in good agreement with the experiments.

무전해 도금법에 의한 전자파 차단 의류소재의 제조 (Preparation of Electromagnetic Wave Shielding Fabrics by Electroless Plating)

  • The purpose of this study was to produce the high quality of electromagnetic wave shielding fabrics. In this study, we have produced polyester fabrics by electroless Ag plating. The untreated polyester was etched with $4\%$ NaOH solution added accelerant(Benzyl Dimethyl Dodecyl Ammonium Chloride) then it was catalyzed by $SnCl_2$ solution and activated by $PdCl_2$ solution. Electroless Ag plating was carried out by changing conditions such as temperature. time, weight loss rate of polyester and kind of reducing agents. The electromagnetic wave shielding effectiveness of polyester fabric by electroless Ag plating was measured by RF Impedance Analyzer and element of electromagnetic wave shielding substance was measured using Electron probe micro analyzer. The results were as follows; The plating bath using potassium sodium tartrate by reducing agent was excellent electromagnetic wave shielding effectiveness. Element of electromagnetic wave shielding substance was silver. Electromagnetic wave shielding effectiveness was shown over 64dB at the temperature of $40^{\circ}C$, treating time 30min., weight loss rate $20\%$.

고출력 전자기파에 대한 전력망 피해 비용 산출 (Estimation of Damage in Electric Power Networks due to High Power Electromagnetic Pulse)

  • 본 논문은 거시적인 접근방법을 이용하여 고출력 전자기파에 대한 피해 비용을 보다 실제적으로 산출하기 위한 방법을 제시하고, 이에 대한 피해액을 계산하였다. 먼저 취약성 분석을 통하여 사회 기반 시설 중 사회적으로 가장 큰 혼란을 야기할 수 있을 것이라고 판단되는 전력망에 집중하여 연구하였으며, 이에 대해 고출력 전자기파에 의한 피해액 계산식은 GDP에 대한 총 에너지 소비를 고려하여 고출력 전자기파 피해 시 발생할 수 있는 피해 손실을 효과적으로 예측하기 위한 방법을 제시하였다. 피해액은 고출력 전자기파의 공격 형태에 따라 피해 범위를 설정하고 계산하였으며, 이러한 피해액 계산을 통하여 고출력 전자기파에 취약한 시설에 대해서는 피해액 산출 후 방호 비용과 비교하여 시설 방호 대책을 수립할 수 있는 기반을 마련할 수 있을 것이다.

NiCuZn 페라이트의 조성 및 소결조건에 따른 전자파흡수 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Properties by the Composition Ratio and Sintering Condition of NiCuZn Ferrite)

  • 정보통신기술의 발달과 전자기기의 사용량 증가에 따른 전자파장애의 발생이 점차 사회 문제화되면서 그 대책이 요구됨에 따라 전자파 흡수체에 대한 관심도 증가되고 있는데 본 연구에서는 전자파 흡수체로 알려진 NiCuZn 페라이트의 조성비 및 소결온도 변화에 따른 복소유전율과 복소투자율의 주파수 의존 특성을 알아보고 전자파 흡수성능에 대한 영향을 조사하였다. NiCuZn 페라이트의 조성 중 $Fe_2O_3$및 ZnO를 각각 49.0, 34.0mol%로 고정하고 NiO 및 CuO의 구성비를 변화시켜 측정한 결과 NiO의 구성비가 8.5~9.5 mol%의 범위에서, 소결온도는 $1080^{\circ}C$에서 초투자율 및 유전율이 크고 $loss tangent(=\mur"/\mur')$가 약 2 MHz~9.5 GHz 주파수 대역에서 1 이상을 보이며 전파흡수 성능이 가장 우수하게 나타났다.나타났다.
