  • With excellent mechanical properties and durability of concrete and construction materials so far because, as has been the most widely used. However, existing in the electrical conductivity of the concrete material is given the characteristics of the concrete can not expand a lot of applications. For example, the cathode material of a parameter, ground resistance materials, electromagnetic shielding materials, sense of self-diagnostic materials, and anti-static materials are available. Currently, research on the electromagnetic shielding and absorbing mortar is incomplete. And Japan, the United States is part of the research in research institutions. Therefore, this research rate in the mouth in a different mix of conductive graphite particle the physical properties of cement mortar about the basic performance characteristics of the robbery was to figure out.

PDP TV Screen Filter의 Shielding Effectiveness 측정 및 분석 (Measurements and Analysis of Electromagnetic Shielding Effectiveness of PDP TV Screen Filters)

  • Screen filter of PDP TV plays an important role in satisfying the EMI/EMC specifications. Two types of filters, the mesh type and the sputter type, are used in PDP TVs, and this paper presents measurement results of the shielding effectiveness (SE) in the frequency range from 50MHz to 1GHz. Two methods were used for the measurement, one using network analyzer (NA) in an open area test site(OATS), and the other using the screen room. The overall conclusion is that the shielding effectiveness of the screen filter is related to the surface resistance of the screen filter. The mesh type screen filters are superior to the sputter types in the shielding effectiveness, which is varying with the frequency.

  • This paper describes the fabrication and characteristics of a low frequency vibration driven electromagnetic energy harvester. The fabricated generator consists of a permanent magnet of NdFeB, a FR-4 planar spring and a Copper cylinder type coil. ANSYS modal analysis was used to determine the resonant frequency for the generator. The implemented generator is capable of producing up to 550 mV peak-to-peak under 7 Hz frequency, which has a maximum power of $95.5\;{\mu}W$ with load resistance of $580\;{\Omega}$. This device is shown to generate sufficient power at different resonating modes, and the experimental and simulated results are discussed and composed.

  • This paper describes the fabrication and characteristics of vibration-driven electromagnetic energy harvester without spring to use at low frequency like a human body motion. The implemented energy harvester consists of NdFeB magnets, copper coil. The optimization of induced voltage was done by the various widths of coil, number of the turns, size of fixed and moving magnets and thicknesses of the cylinder. The fabricated energy harvester is capable of producing up to 15.0 $V_{pp}$ for basic model and 28.80 $V_{pp}$ for improved model at 5.0 Hz resonance frequency and 0.75 g acceleration level. The basic model and improved model are provided a maximum power of 6.375 mWand 25.831 mW at 1 KHz of load resistance in rectifier circuit.

Design of Wideband Microwave Absorbers Using Reactive Salisbury Screens with Maximum Flat Reflection

  • This paper presents a design methodology for wideband single-layered microwave absorbers with arbitrary absorption at the design center frequency using reactive Salisbury screens. The bandwidth of the absorber increases when the flatness of the reflection response at the design center frequency is maximized. Based on this observation, closed-form design formulas for wideband absorbers are derived. As they are scalable to any design frequency, wideband reactive screens can be systematically realized using two-dimensional periodic crossed-dipole structures patterned on a resistive sheet. Based on this method, a single-layered absorber with a 90% bandwidth improved to 124% of the design center frequency is presented. For the purpose of physical demonstration, an absorber with a design center frequency of 10 GHz is designed and fabricated using a silver nanowire resistive film with a surface resistance of 30 Ω/square. The measured absorption shows a good agreement with both the calculation and the electromagnetic simulation.

  • 마이크로스트립 개방형 루프 공진기는 발진기의 위상 잡음을 줄이기 위해서 적용되었다. 마이크로스트립 스퀘어 개방형 루프 공진기는 큰 결합 계수 값을 가지고, 이로 인해 높은 Q 값을 가지며 전압 제어 발진기의 위상잡음을 감소시킨다. 전압 제어 발진기의 주파수 조절 범위를 증가시키기 위하여 버랙터 다이오드가 전압 제어발진기의 조절 가능한 부성 저항에 연결되어졌다. 전압 제어 발진기의 출력 파워와 하모닉 특성은 각각 4.83dBm과 -28.83 dBc이다. 위상 잡음 특성은 주파수 조절 범위 $5.735{\sim}5.845GHz$에서 $-112.33{\sim}-116.16dBc/Hz$ @ 100 kHz이다.

  • In this paper, shielding effectiveness(SE) of the shielding paint of electromagnetic(EM) waves was investigated with actual experiments. The shielding paint used in this study were made of powder of conductive materials - Ag, Cu, Al, Sn, Ni. Cr, Graphite and Charcoal etc. with a solubility in oil and water. Also, the paper was used as a base sheet. The experiment was carried out by using a shielding evaluator(Shielding box) TR17302 with an ADVANTEST spectrum analyzer, model R3361C. It was found from the experimental results that silver, copper, nickel were good candidates as a shielding material against the EM waves with increasing the SE as the composite was laminated. The characteristics of the SE against the EM waves depended on a mode of preparation of specimen. The effects of density of particles on the SE were studied about the EM shielding paint. The SE strongly depended on the electric resistance by density of painting particles. SE increased as the density of particles was increasing.

  • 임의의 방향에서 입사하는 외부 전자파와 다중 전송선로와의 결합 특성을 해석하기 위해 다중 전송선 방 정식을 FDTD 기법으로 전개하고 선로에 유도되는 전압을 시율레이션하였다. 테스트 선로로는 Ethernet 방식 의 고속 LAN 구축시 사용되는 UTP Category 5 케이블과 알루미늄 호일로 차폐된 STP Category 5 케이블 을 사용하였다. TEM 생을 이용하여 유도전압을 측정한 실험결과와 시율레이션 결과를 비교하여 잘 일치함 을 확인하였다. 또한 차폐된 STP Category 5에 대해 차폐 호일의 접지상태 및 접지저항의 변화에 따른 차폐 효과를 비교한 결과, 차폐 호일의 양단을 모두 접지하고 접지저항을 작게 할 때 차폐 효과가 가장 크게 나타 났다

  • To comply with CE marking requirements, the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and low-voltage directive (LVD) tests are conducted on the sub-racks of International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) AC/DC converters and bypass switches. The EMC tests consist of a series of tests, including the electromagnetic interference test, the electromagnetic field immunity test, and the rapid transient burst immunity test. In the LVD test, the electric shock protection test, the xcessive temperature limit and heat resistance of equipment tests, and the fire spread prevention test are performed. This work presents and reviews the European Directive for EMC/LVD and introduces the methods of EMC and LVD tests for the sub-racks of AC/DC converters and bypass switches. It also evaluates the test method and results to meet the European Directive requirements for CE marking. The sub-racks of ITER AC/DC converters and bypass switches successfully pass the EMC and LVD tests.
