인체 광인식에 있어서 전자파에 의한 뇌파 변화 (Electroencephalogram Variation by Electromagnetic Wave on Human Light Sensing)

  • The electroencephalogram generated by light stimulation in human body of dark adaption state was measured and analyzed in the cases that electromagnetic wave was put in and not put in, respectively. Shieldroom being able to interrupt the light and the electromagnetic wave of outer was constructed, and the experimental system being able to apply any light and any electromagnetic wave was designed. When the electromagnetic wave was applied to body or not, the variation characteristics of each component in the electroencephalogram were i3s follows. The 6 wave was increased and the $\alpha$ wave and the $\beta$ wave were decreased in the case that the electromagnetic wave was applied, and the variation range of the $\Theta$ wave was small. And the influence of electromagnetic wave on human body was that the appearance time of the $\beta$ wave was late, and it moaned that the time of visual recognition was delayed.

  • Nowadays, there has been substantial interest in whether there is an association between electromagnetic field exposure and living environment. It is increased the demand that electromagnetic wave environment and its countermeasure. In the present study, we has applied the electromagnetic absorbent inorganic paint of 'I' corporations, and measured electromagnetic waves generated in new apartment before occupancy using the standard field electromagnetic wave generating device we developed. The measurement before occupancy was $100\~131V/m$, but the measurement after occupancy was $6.9\~8.0V/m$ less than 10V/m, the comprehensive electromagnetic wave limit allowed by TCO in Sweden. The implication is that domestic apartment are exposed to extremely poor electromagnetic wave environment. Nevertheless, there have been neither serious efforts to overcome this problem, nor its alternatives and related standards. Therefore, it is necessary to continue research of related fields to establish standards and plans to improve the situation.

Integral Transforms in Electromagnetic Formulation

  • In this research, integral transform technique for electromagnetic scattering formulation is reviewed. Electromagnetic boundary-value problems are presented to demonstrate how the integral transforms are utilized in electromagnetic propagation, antennas, and electromagnetic interference/compatibility. Various canonical structures of slotted conductors are used for illustration; moreover, Fourier transform, Hankel transform, Mellin transform, Kontorovich-Lebedev transform, and Weber transform are presented. Starting from each integral transform definition, the general procedures for solving Helmholtz's equation or Laplace's equation for the potentials in the unbounded region are reviewed. The boundary conditions of field continuity are incorporated into particular formulations. Salient features of each integral transform technique are discussed.

  • In this paper, the electromagnetic shielding performance of a BiMODAL Tram is investigated by means of an electromagnetic analysis tool, called HFSS. For the purposed of doing this, first, three-dimensional finite element modeling for the tram including electronic devices and engine room is carried out. Then, for quantitatively assessing the electromagnetic shielding performance of the tram's body, concentration indexes for electric field magnitude and time-average stored electric energy are introduced. From numerical results, it is inferred that the tram's body can protect the electronic devices and engine room against external electromagnetic waves from 30 MHz to 100 MHz.

착의 상태에 따른 휴대폰의 전자파 투과량 - 남성용 드레스 셔츠 포켓 내에서를 중심으로 - (The Amounts of the Electromagnetic Wave Penetrating From a Cellular Phone under the Conditions of Wearing - Inside the Pocket of Men's Dress shirt -)

  • This study was conducted to estimate the amounts of the electromagnetic wave penetrating from a cellular phone in a pocket of dress shirt, as well as to test how different the penetration amounts were under the conditions of wearing. It was also investigated the possibilities that the amounts of the electromagnetic wave penetrating could be decreased by using twofold pocket or electromagnetic wave free fabric. The amounts of the electromagnetic wave penetrating were measured in the following five cases; one-layered pocket with 10 different fabrics as dress shirt, a pocket adding a layer of knitted cotton, two-layered pocket with same fabric as dress shirt, two-layered pocket adding a layer of knitted cotton, and one-layered pocket adding a layer of electromagnetic wave free fabric. Each of these five cases were measured using the front and back sides of a cellular phone facing to the body. The results were as follows; 1) The amounts of the electromagnetic wave penetrating were not significantly different in 10 different fabrics and were all above the caution range (0.02mW/$cm^2$). 2) The amounts of the electromagnetic wave penetrating in cases of the back side of the cellular phone to the body, were more than in cases of the front side. 3) There is a significantly differences in part on adding a knitted under wear to one and two layers of the pocket in the case of penetration amount under the wearing conditions. 4) The amounts of the electromagnetic wave penetrating in cases of adding a layer of electromagnetic wave free fabric, were close to the safe standard value of it. The above results suggested that facing the front side of cellular phone to the body and using extra layering with some electromagnetic wave free fabrics might have some protective effects again to the penetration amounts.

전자파 고노출 직업군의 근무환경 조사 및 시판 전자기파 차폐소재를 이용한 철도 근무복의 차폐성능 연구 (A Comparative Study of the Shielding Performance of Uniforms using Electromagnetic Wave Shielding Materials Currently on the Market for Workers at Korea Railroad Corporation)

  • This study set out to develop clothes made of electromagnetic wave shielding materials. Among the various worker groups exposed to electromagnetic waves for long hours, railroad workers were chosen for the study. After selecting the locations they worked, the investigator measured electromagnetic wave on the field. To examine the effects of electromagnetic wave shielding materials, I applied a lining made of electromagnetic wave shielding materials to the existing work clothes. The first experimental clothes had the silver fabric for the lining in the current working clothes, the second experimental clothes had the copper- and nickel-plate polyester placed between the outer and the lining to prevent the corrosive material from contacting the skin, and the third experimental clothes had the silver fabric for the lining and the copper- and nickel-plate polyester between the outer and the lining. The results indicate that even if a fabric is evaluated to shield electromagnetic waves after tests, it cannot completely shield electromagnetic waves emitting from everyday appliances of 60Hz. Therefore, there should be ongoing development and research efforts on fabrics that can shield electromagnetic waves to a certain degree in order to develop working clothes to alleviate fatigue for those who are constantly exposed to electromagnetic waves, relieve their anxiety, offer them psychological stability and thus help them increase job efficiency.

  • 전자기 토폴러지 기법은 복잡한 대상을 전자기 결합 경로에 따라 단순화시키고, 연속적인 해석 영역을 분할하여 각 절점에서의 해를 구하는 방법이다. 따라서 복잡한 대형 시스템에서의 전자기 결합 현상을 해석하는 데에 장점을 갖고 있지만, 해석 대상의 단순화된 모델링으로 인한 오차가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 power balance method에 기초하여 전자기 토폴러지 기법에서의 오차를 추정하고 정션을 세분화함으로써 다양한 공진기 모델에서의 전도성 및 복사성 전자파 특성을 해석하였다. 해석 결과를 통해 세분화에 따른 정확도 개선 효과를 확인하였고, 시간 영역 유한 차분법 결과와 비교하여 소요 시간과 메모리 단축 효과를 확인할 수 있었다.

의료기관 내 전자파 환경 (Electromagnetic Fields in General Hospital)

  • Background: Electromagnetic fields (EMF) are ubiquitous in modern society including medical field. As the technology of medical instruments and telecommunications has developed rapidly, it has influenced on our lives in many ways. Modern medical practice requires high quality medical equipments, which have a great deal of electromagnetic interference and susceptibility. The purpose of this study were to evaluate electromagnetic condition under usual clinical condition and to suggest a practical guideline in general hospital. Materials and Methods: The actual state of the electromagnetic interference in the medical field was studied under usual clinical conditions including operating rooms, intensive care units, magnetic resonance imaging unit, and hyperthermia unit. Results: There was considerable noise as a result of electromagnetic fields from medical equipments including electrosurgical units and hyperthermia unit, and cellular phones, which could induce serious functional derangements of functioning medical devices. Conclusion: It will be necessary to evaluate the individual electromagnetic situations under various medical conditions and to define a limited zone for cellular phone as well as reposition medical equipments to secure a safer medical practice and to minimize electromagnetic interference.

무전해 도금법에 의한 전자파 차단 의류소재의 제조 (Preparation of Electromagnetic Wave Shielding Fabrics by Electroless Plating)

  • The purpose of this study was to produce the high quality of electromagnetic wave shielding fabrics. In this study, we have produced polyester fabrics by electroless Ag plating. The untreated polyester was etched with $4\%$ NaOH solution added accelerant(Benzyl Dimethyl Dodecyl Ammonium Chloride) then it was catalyzed by $SnCl_2$ solution and activated by $PdCl_2$ solution. Electroless Ag plating was carried out by changing conditions such as temperature. time, weight loss rate of polyester and kind of reducing agents. The electromagnetic wave shielding effectiveness of polyester fabric by electroless Ag plating was measured by RF Impedance Analyzer and element of electromagnetic wave shielding substance was measured using Electron probe micro analyzer. The results were as follows; The plating bath using potassium sodium tartrate by reducing agent was excellent electromagnetic wave shielding effectiveness. Element of electromagnetic wave shielding substance was silver. Electromagnetic wave shielding effectiveness was shown over 64dB at the temperature of $40^{\circ}C$, treating time 30min., weight loss rate $20\%$.

전기자동차 충전구 위치에 따른 전자파 방사특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Electromagnetic Interference of Electric Vehicles with Variations of Charging Device Inlet Location)

  • According to revolutionary developments in automobile technologies, eco-friendly advanced vehicles (hybrid vehicle, hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, electric vehicle, etc.) are rapidly increasing. The electromagnetic compatibility is getting more important for development of a vehicle because those advanced vehicles are driven by electric energy and equipped with more electric systems. In general, electromagnetic compatibility tests consist of an electromagnetic interference(EMI) test and an electromagnetic susceptibility(EMS) test. EMI test of the electric vehicles are needed not only in driving mode but also in charging mode because they must be recharged by much electric energy for driving. Depending on vehicle manufacturers, the charging device type and the location of charging device inlet in electric vehicles are various. In this paper, in order to investigate EMI of electric vehicles in charging mode in consideration of the direction of measuring antenna and the location of charging device inlet, a series of electromagnetic emission tests are conducted using three electric vehicles (neighborhood electric vehicle, electric vehicle and electric vehicle-bus). The test results show that electromagnetic emission measurements in charging mode are dependent on the direction of measuring antenna and the location of charging device inlet.
