  • This paper presents the frequency range and an analysis method to find the dominant source of electro-magnetic wave which originates from a spark ignition in engine room. Applying the distributed constant equivalent circuit theory the radiation of probable electro-magnetic wave around an ignition plug and a high voltage cable is studied analytically. Experimental studies are also conducted by measuring the frequency spectrum to obtain the radiating characteristics of electro-magnetic wave. Results from both analytical and experimental studies confirm that an ignition plug and a high voltage cable are dominant sources of electro-magnetic wave and that the radiating frequency is ranged from 1.3[GHz] to 2[GHz] band.

  • The electro-magnetic vector equation(F=$qv{\times}B$ ; F:force, B:magnetic field, q:plus charge, v :velocity of the charge) explains well about the rotations of electron and positron under the magnetic field[Ref.1], as in Fig.1(a). Because the electro-magnetic wave is also a motion of the alternating charge and magnetic field as in Fig.2, the force vector has all the time inwarding direction and then the wave has a rotating motion. The positron in the proton has constant charge and alternating one at the same time[Ref.2] and then the alternating charge makes the absorbing force with the alternating charge of the rotating wave ($\pi$-ray) around the nucleus[Ref.2]. • This paper introduces the combined effect of electric field, magnetic field and thermal field on edge wave propagating in a homogeneous isotropic prestressed plate of finite thickness and infinite length. The dispersion relation of edge wave has been obtained by using classical dynamical theory of thermoelasticity. The phase velocity has been computed and shown graphically for various initial stress parameter, electro-magneto parameter, electric parameter and thermoelastic coupling parameter.

  • The outer-most electrons of metal atoms and the remining valence electrons of any molecular atoms make three dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bondings. The electrons on the $\pi$-bonding orbital rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise and they then make electro-magnetic waves between atoms on the orbital because electron move between plus charged ions. The three dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bonding orbitals are quantum-mechanically modeled by a cyclic Kronig-Penny Model and energy band structures are analyzed with their potential barrier thickness. The waves generated between plus charged ions are the particular $\pi$-far infrared rays, which have dual properties between material and electro-magnetic waves and can be measured not by modern electro-magnetic tester but biosensor such as finger's force tester. Because the $\pi$-rays can be modulated with electro-magnetic waves it can be applied for harmful electro-magnetic wave killers. Because the $\pi$-rays make new three dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bonding orbitals in the material the food and drink can be transformed into a helpful physical constitutional property for human health. Distinction between crystalline and amorphous metals is possible because very strong crystalline $\pi$-bonding orbitals can not easily be transformed into another. The $\pi$-rays can also be applied for biofunctional diagnostics and therapy. Gravitational field is one of the electro-magnetic fields. And also magnetic field and gravitational force field make charge's movement. ($\times$ = q, : magnetic field, : force field, q: plus charge, : velocity field)

  • EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) of the electrical railway must be ensured for safety of passenger. Maglev trains has not friction between the wheels and the rails because levitation by an permanent magnets, electromagnets and superconducting magnets etc. So, it is advantageous to maintain a high speed without noise and vibrations. In this paper, we investigated that the magnetic field of the before and after installation electromagnetic waves absorber in order to analyze the effects of electromagnetic waves. The theoretical analysis of the electromagnetic wave absorber was simulated using finite element method. The magnetic field properties of electromagnetic waves absorber were measured by EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) test receiver.

  • Building materials are trending toward environmental materials nowadays and the market share of those is growing. So those researches and developments for environmental property are proceeding now. The main properties of environmental products are far infrared emission, negative ion emission, electro magnetic wave shielding, and anti fungus, these products are used with shape of mortar, and spray on the finish material. But There are not much researches for the concrete, main material in construction field, with those functional properties. So in this research we evaluated slump, compressive strength and air content as basic properties for concrete using functional materials of sericite, wood pattern sand stone, carbon black and nanometric silver solution and functional properties like far infrared emission, negative ion emission, electro magnetic wave shielding, and anti fungus. The results were as follows. The most useful material in the functional materials was carbon black. Sericite and nanometric silver solution had a little effect on functional property, so it was difficult to apply to concrete, and wood pattern sand stone had a high functional property but low compressive strength, can be applied to a factory product. Anti fungus of the concrete using nanometric silver solution was not clear but if those specimens were aged in $CO_2$ gas for a long time it might apparent.

  • In this article, wave propagation characteristics in magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) nanotube considering shell model is studied in the framework nonlocal theory. To account for the small-scale effects, the Eringen's nonlocal elasticity theory of is applied. Nonlocal governing equations of MEE nanotube have been derived utilizing Hamilton's principle. The results of this investigation have been accredited by comparing them of previous studies. An analytical solution of governing equations is used to obtain phase velocities and wave frequencies. The influences of different parameters, such as different mode, nonlocal parameter, length parameter, geometry, magnetic field and electric field on wave propagation responses of MEE nanotube are expressed in detail.

  • The penetration of an electro-magnetic wave through an aperture in a cylindrical structure with a center dielectric-rod is investgated. By using a standard mode matching procedure, the electrical and magnetic fields in a cavity are determined as a function of position inside the cavity and frequency of the incident field. For the given parameters, computed data are obtained and the results exhibited in form of amplitude curves of the nor malized field and energy densities of functions of position and frequency. Depending on the increase of the relative dielectric constant of center dielectric-rod, the resonance frequecies of the cavity vary as the cavity size decrease. The stored electro-magnetic energy varies very rapidly as a function of position inside the cavity and of the source frequency. Its peak value can be two orders of magnitude greater than the incident energy density. The frequencies where the peaks occur can be identified approximately as the resonance frequencies of the cavity.

  • Marine clays are soft soil deposits having complicated mineralogy and formation characteristics. Thus, characterization of its geotechnical behavior has been a main issue for geotechnical engineers. Nowadays, the importance and applications of geophysical exploration on marine clays are increasing significantly according to the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of geophysical survey technology. For marine clays, seismic survey is effective for density and elasticity characterization, while electro-magnetic wave provides the information about the fluid conductivity phenomena inside soil. For practical applications, elastic wave technology can evaluate the consolidation state of natural marine clay layers and estimate important geotechnical engineering parameters of artificially reclaimed marine deposits. Electrical resistivity can provide geophysical characteristics such as particle cementation, pore geometry shape, and pore material phase condition. Furthermore, nondestructive geophysical monitoring is applicable for risk management and efficiency enhancement during natural methane gas extraction from gas hydrate-bearing sediments.
