EMTP를 이용한 유도 원판형 과전류 계전기 모델링 (The Modeling of Induction Disc Type OverCurrent Relay using EMTP)

  • 본 논문은 배전계통에서 사용되고 있는 유도 원판형 과전류 계전기를 EMTP(ElectroMagnetic Transients Program)을 이용하여 모델링 하였다. EMTP 내의 TACS 소자는 동적 응답 특성을 모델링 할 수 있는 소자로 유도 원판형 계전기의 동적 응답 특성을 모델링하는데 사용되었다. 계전기의 순시동작 및 한시동작 특성은 한국전력공사 과전류 계전기 표준규격에 근거하여 모델링하였으며, 순시동작 및 한시동작 (반한시, 강반한시) 특성을 모두 모델링하였다. 또한 한국전력공사 실 배전계통에 투입하여 고장 발생 시 계전기 동작을 관찰함으로써 모델링한 계전기의 동작을 검증하였다.

  • Gaspipe buried close to power lines can be subjected to hazardous induction effects, especially during single line to ground faults. Accordingly, it is necessary to take into consideration for analysis of induced voltage on a gaspipeline in transmission lines. This paper analyses the induced voltage on the gaspipeline due to single line to ground faults of the transmission lines using EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transients Program).

  • We have been measuring the voltage differences by using submarine cables in the Tsushima and in the Tokara Straits. The aim of these measurements is to estimate the volume transports of the ocean currents through those straits. In this paper, the voltage differences are compared with the corresponding sea level and air pressure differences between straits. Especially in the Tsushima Strait, the voltage difference is consistent with the air pressure difference as well as the sea level difference.

  • Maglev is the vehicle which can run in levitated condition by the electro-magnets, and propelled by linear induction motors. Maglev system represents a typical example of large-scale multi-disciplinary system, consisting of subsystems such as train, electrical, hardware, electronics, control, information, communication, civil technology etc., that must be the subject under configuration, control and requirement management. Not only the requirements dictate the contracts with the suppliers but also become the basis of the development process, project execution, system integration, and testing. These requirements provide the basis specification of all development activities.

  • The use of HDL(Hardware Description Language) is now central to the ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit). HDL-based ASIC can simplify the process of development and has a competition in market because it reduce the consuming time for the design of IC(Integrated circuit) in system level. Therefore, the development of power electronics system on chip (SOC), to design microcontroller and switching logic as one chip, is required extremely for the purpose of having reliability and low cost in power electronics which is based on switching elements. The major application of SOC is variable converter, active filter inverter for induction motor. UPS and power supply with a view to reducing electro-magnetic pollution.

  • 일반적으로 유도 전동기 가변속 운전할 때 인버터의 스위칭 작용으로 많은 고조파가 포함되어 전동기의 고조파 손실, 토크 맥동, 전자기적 소음 및 진동 등을 초래하게 된다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 부분공진 벅 컨버터와 3상 전압형 SPWM 인버터 회로를 유도전동기 운전시스템에 적용하였다. 제안한 회로의 입력전류를 거의 단위 역률로 정현파화하기 위해 동작 조건을 다양하게 변화시켰으며 커패시터는 보조다이오드와 전력스위칭에 적절히 배열하여 전원측으로 전압을 회생시켜 공급하였다. 그리고 전압반전기능을 부가하는 것에 의해 전원전압 극성 반전시 입력전류의 변형 최소화함으로서 역률 및 효율이 개선시켰다. 또한 출력 필터를 이용하여 출력선간전압의 고조파 성분을 감소하였으며, 상태공간 해석을 도입하여 정류기의 동작을 예측하였다. 이러한 모든 사항은 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 그 타당성을 확인하였다.

  • EM (ElectroMagnetic) pump is used for the purpose of transporting liquid sodium coolant with electrical conductivity in the LMR(Liquid Metal Reactor). (In the present study, pilot EM pump has been designed by using of equivalent circuit method which is commonly employed to analyze linear induction machines for the test of removal of residual heat. The length and diameter of the pump have fixed values of 840 mm and 101.6 mm each by taking account of geometrical size of circulation loop for the installation of EM pump. Flowrate versus developing pressure is related from Laithwaite's standard design formula and the characteristic analyses of developing force and efficiency are carried out according to change of input frequency. From the characteristic curve, input frequency of 13 Hz is determined as the design frequency. On the other hand, The annular air gap size of 6.05 mm is selected not to bring about too much hydraulic loss. Resultantly design analysis makes pump have the electrical input of 604 VA and the hydrodynamical capacity of 1.3 bars and 40 l/min.

  • As a part of electro-mechanical totally implantable artificial heart, a transcutaneous energy transmission system has been developed. By mutual magnetic induction between the first coil on the skin and the subcutaneously implanted second coil, the system transfers electrical power through the skin. This research aimed a minimizing the size of the implanted part as well as maximizing the transfer efficiency. When an air gap is 1$\sim$2cm, voltage gain and current gain low and it is hard to transfer energy due to large leakage flux. That is, the required input voltage and input current must be large compared with the output voltage and output current, respectively, This paper research the inverter topology and the control method in order to increase the voltage gain and the current gain. For this purpose, this inverter employs double tune to compensate the large leakage inductance of primary and secondary of the transcutaneous transformer. And the output energy of transcutaneous energy transmission system supply for Lithium-ion battery charger.

Experimental Study on Frequency Support of Variable Speed Wind Turbine Based on Electromagnetic Coupler

  • In the variable speed Wind Turbine based on ElectroMagnetic Coupler (WT-EMC), a synchronous generator is coupled directly to the grid. Therefore, like conventional power plants, WT-EMC is able to inherently support grid frequency. However, due to the reduced inertia of the synchronous generator, WT-EMC is expected to be controlled to increase its output power in response to a grid frequency drop to support grid frequency. Similar to the grid frequency support control of Type 3 or Type 4 wind turbine, inertial control and droop control can be used to calculate the WT-EMC additional output power reference according to the synchronous generator speed. In this paper, an experimental platform is built to study the grid frequency support from WT-EMC with inertial control and droop control. Two synchronous generators, driven by two induction motors controlled by two converters, are used to emulate the synchronous generators in conventional power plants and in WT-EMCs respectively. The effectiveness of the grid frequency support from WT-EMC with inertial control and droop control responding to a grid frequency drop is validated by experimental results. The selection of the grid frequency support controller and its gain for WT-EMC is analyzed briefly.
