EMTP를 이용한 유도 원판형 과전류 계전기 모델링 (The Modeling of Induction Disc Type OverCurrent Relay using EMTP)

  • 본 논문은 배전계통에서 사용되고 있는 유도 원판형 과전류 계전기를 EMTP(ElectroMagnetic Transients Program)을 이용하여 모델링 하였다. EMTP 내의 TACS 소자는 동적 응답 특성을 모델링 할 수 있는 소자로 유도 원판형 계전기의 동적 응답 특성을 모델링하는데 사용되었다. 계전기의 순시동작 및 한시동작 특성은 한국전력공사 과전류 계전기 표준규격에 근거하여 모델링하였으며, 순시동작 및 한시동작 (반한시, 강반한시) 특성을 모두 모델링하였다. 또한 한국전력공사 실 배전계통에 투입하여 고장 발생 시 계전기 동작을 관찰함으로써 모델링한 계전기의 동작을 검증하였다.

  • This paper suggests a detection scheme of a secondary arc extinction using the peak value of a fault voltage estimated by correlation algorithms. The system implemented in this paper is based on a Korean 765 kV system and the suggested proposed scheme is tested on the system. The performance of the method is analyzed by using Electro-Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP)/ATPDraw.

  • This paper investigates a normal induced voltage according to earth resistivity from distribution lines using calculation method of the normal induced voltage on telecommunication line.   • 낙뢰가 전력계통에 유입되면 전력설비 및 통신설비에 영향을 미쳐 경제적인 손실로 이어지는 문제점을 초래한다. 본 논문에서는 배전계통에서의 뇌격전류의 크기, 뇌격지점에서의 거리, 그리고 접지저항의 크기에 따른 과전압을 전력계통 과도현상 프로그램인 EMTP(Electro-Magnetic Transients Program)을 이용하여 모의 및 분석하였다.

  • This paper reports a set of digital time-domain simulation studies conducted on 154 kV wound Potential Transformer(PT) int he 154 kV Gas Insulated Substation(GIS). The Electro-Magnetic Transient Program(EMTP) is used to develop the PT model and conduct the transient studies. The accuracy of the PT model is verified through comparison of the EMTP simulation results with those obtained from the field test results. The investigations shows that the developed model can accurately predict PT transient resonance, especially, the phenomenon of ferroresonance. The model is developed not only to determine impact of transients on PT response but also to design ferroresonance suppressor devices of PT. And it can also be used to predict PT transient response on power system monitoring and protection scheme.

  • Among the Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) devices, Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is considered as the most powerful and versatile one as it provides simultaneous, real time control of the transmission parameters, voltages, impedances, and phase angles which determine the power flow in AC transmission systems. This paper presents modelling of UPFC and describes its characteristics. The UPFC implemented in this paper is based on Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) and Electro-Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP)/ATPDraw is used to model and analyze it. The simulation results confirm advantages of UPFC in operational performance with respect to the steady state Power flow regulation and the transient stability control.

  • We had experienced the several system failures which were concerned about zero sequence voltages at the tertiary side of 345[kV] transformers. In this paper, we had considered the zero sequence voltage and its reduction methods at the 345[kV] auto-transformer tertiary. For analysis, we used EMTP(Electro-Magnetic Transients Program). The calculation results by EMTP were compared with the measured data of the field tests. From the calculation and the field tests, we had verified that it is due to pre-saturation characteristics of the potential transformer. So, we had improved its saturation characteristics and applied it at real site. After improvements, we could reduce the zero sequence voltage below the setting level of the relay.

  • This paper dscribes a detail simulation model with EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transients Program) which is very effective to analyze the interaction between the ac transmission line and STATCON (static condenser). The SATCON was represented by two voltage-source converters connected in parallel and sharing an energy storage dc capacitor bank. The voltage source converters was modeled with ideal gate turn-off switches. The power system was represented by a detail generator model and a distributed tramnsmission line model for detail performance analyses. Analysis results show that the conceived simulation model is very effective to analyze the interaction between the ac transmission line and STATCON, and to evaluate the performance of STATCON.
