  • In this paper, We treated the electrical characteristic of fluorocarbon. We found that its properties - dielectric properties, resistivities, dielectric characteristics. etc - are sufficient to use as coolants for GAS INSULATED TRANSFORMER.

  • 네트워크상태의 탄소나노튜브 나노선과 바나듐 옥사이드 나노선의 전압-전류 특성을 측정하고 옴성 전압전류특성과 함께 정류 다이오드 특성을 관측하였다 정류특성을 Schottky diode 관점에서 분석하였고 나노선을 이용한 다이오드의 이상지수가 10을 초과하는 큰 값을 가짐을 알았다. 2단자 전극상태에서 전류잡음 1/f 잡음형태가 관측되었다.

  • A study was carried out on the effect of VDF mol%, on the phase transition presented by P(VDF/TrFE) copolymer cast from dimethylformamide(DMF) solution with molar ratios 70/30 and 80/20. The results from dielectric spectrum and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) showed that the phase transitions from ferroelectric to paraelectric phase(Curie transition) were observed The Curie point slightly has shifted to high temperature with increasing in VDF mol%, however, the melting point has shifted to low temperature.

  • Multilayer transparent electrodes, having a much lower electrical resistance than the widely used transparent conducting oxide electrodes, were prepared by using radio frequency magnetron sputtering. The multilayer structure consisted of five layers, indium tin oxided (ITO)/zinc oxide (ZnO)/Ag/zinc oxide (ZnO)/ITO. With about 50 nm thick ITO films, the multilayer showed a high optical transmittance in the visible range of the spectrum and had color neutrality. The electrical and optical properties of ITO/ZnO/Ag/ZnO/ITO multilayer were changed mainly by Ag film properties, which were affected by the deposition process of the upper layer. Especially ZnO layer was improved to adhesion of Ag and ITO. A high quality transparent electrode, having a resistance as low as and a high optical transmittance of 91% at 550 nm, was obtained. It could satisfy the requirement for the flexible OLED and LCD.

Liquid crystal aligning capabilities for vertical aligned NLC on the $CeO_x$ thin film layer with thermal evaporation

  • In this study, liquid crystal (LC) aligning capabilities for vertical alignment on the $CeO_x$ thin film by thermal evaporation method were investigated. Also, the control of pretilt angles and thermal stabilities of the NLC treated on $CeO_x$ thin film were investgated. The uniform LC alignment on the $CeO_x$ thin film surfaces and good thermal stabilities with thermal evaporation can be achieved. It is considerated that the LC alignment on the $CeO_x$ thin film by thermal evaporation is attributed to elastic interaction between LC molecules and micro-grooves at the $CeO_x$ thin film surface created by evaporation. In addition, it can be achieved the good electro-optical (EO) properties of the VA-LCD on $CeO_x$ thin film layer with oblique thermal evaporation.

  • Wireless Sensor Networking is state of the art technology that has a wide range of potential applications. Sensor network generally consists of a large number of distributed nodes that organize themselves into a multi-hop wireless network. Each node has one or more sensors, embedded processors and low-power radios, and is normally battery operated because of small size. In this paper wireless sensor networking technology applies to the environment monitoring system in the underground. This system can monitor a pollution level of the underground in realtime for keeping up a comfortable environment.

  • This paper introduces experimental investigates of an electrical accident of the distributing cable termination with simulated badness construction. We prepared two termination kites, one is built-up type, the other is heat contraction type. Also, we manufactured cable termination that have simulated defect by badness construction and measured their insulation characteristics such as ac (35kV, 1min) and impulse (95kV, $1.2{\times}50{\mu}s$) withstand test. The influence of defects such as thickness and the gap between stress-con of housing and semi-conductor on insulating properties of the termination have been studied. The thickness decrease of insulator decreases ac breakdown strength. Dielectric breakdown traces of insulator that is damaged by knife displayed other shape. The gap of between housing and semiconductor deteriorates dielectric strength of insulator seriously.

  • The conventional direct and indirect moxibustion therapies for prostatism treatment could not been applied to the acupuncture point of CV 1( Conception Vessel Meridian 1) because of its boring body region. In order to get rid of these problems we have suggested the moxa-pad cauterizer especially for prostatism. We have implemented the moxa-pad moxibustion cauterizer especially for the prostatism. The experimental demonstrations have been made by the stimulating the spots which are CV-1(Conception Vessel Meridian 1), B-28(Bladder Meridian 28), and CV-3(Conception Vessel Meridian 3) acupuncture points. And stimulating time was one hour with moxa-pad cauterizer.
