Compensation of Electric Field Interference for Fiber-optic Voltage Measurement System

  • In this paper, we analyze the errors associated with electric field interference for fiber-optic voltage sensors working in a three-phase electric system. For many practical conductor arrangements, the electric filed interference may cause errors unacceptable for the accuracy requirements of the sensors. We devised a real time compensation method for the interference by introducing geometric and weight factors. We realized the method using simple electronic circuits and obtained the real time compensated outputs with errors of 1 %.

Effects of Reactive Diluents on the Electrical Insulation Breakdown Strength and Mechanical Properties in an Epoxy System

  • In order to study the effect of reactive diluents on the electrical insulation breakdown strength and mechanical properties of, a polyglycol and an aliphatic epoxy were individually introduced to an epoxy system. Reactive diluents were used in order to decrease the viscosity of the epoxy system; polyglycol acted as a flexibilizer and 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDGE) acted as an aliphatic epoxy, which then acted as a chain extender after curing reaction. The ac electrical breakdown strength was estimated in sphere-to-sphere electrodes and the electrical breakdown strength was estimated by Weibull statistical analysis. The scale parameters of the electrical breakdown strengths for the epoxy resin, epoxy-polyglycol, and epoxy-BDGE were 45.0, 46.2, and 45.1 kV/mm, respectively. The flexural and tensile strengths for epoxy-BDGE were lower than those of the epoxy resin and those for epoxy-polyglycol were lower than those of the epoxy resin.

  • Electro-magnetic type implantable middle ear hearing aid has been empirically developed. But for further improvement of the system performance more quantitative approach is necessary. In this paper, we analyzed vibrating transducer which is most important to design the system, appropriate for given hearing level, and implemented it. Using this transducer, implantable hearing aid system are developed. To verify the design process, we experimented with driving metal strip by the developed system. From the experiment, frequency response of implemented device showed good characteristic at audio frequency and we confirmed that each part of the developed system operated well.

  • In this paper, we manufactured the detector which is detecting the periodical distribution of arrival time about pulsed leaky noise. The frequency range were analyzed optimally pulsed leaky noise in detector design. With results we can make the detector for leaky noise from the bad insulator.

  • This paper proposes a new repulsive-Maglev vehicle in which a vertical type PM linear synchronous motor (LSM) can levitate and propel simultaneously, independently of the vehicle speeds. A compact control method is developed which is based on the concept of controlling individually the levitation system by armature-current and the propulsion system by mechanical load-angle. The levitation-motion control experiments have carried out successfully together with positioning at standstill. The pitching motion has been compensated for very well by using the zero-phase-current control method proposed here.

AC Electrical Breakdown Characteristics of an Epoxy/Mica Composite

  • Epoxy/mica composite was synthesized, in order to use it as an impregnation resin in a vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) process, for manufacturing a high voltage rotary machine. The average particle size of the mica was 5~7 ${\mu}m$ and its content was 0, 20, 30 and 40 wt%. A plasticizer or a low molecular aliphatic epoxy was also used, to decrease the viscosity of the composite. The AC electrical breakdown strength was estimated in sphere-to-sphere electrodes, and the electrical breakdown data were estimated by Weibull statistical analysis. The electrical breakdown strength became higher with the addition of mica; and that of the system with 20 wt% mica was highest. The electrical breakdown strength of the system with an aliphatic epoxy was higher than that of the system with a, plasticizer.

  • Digital environment that is represented to internet is displacing business way of industry and business achievement way with the fast speed being giving great change on life whole, improve existence business process utilizing internet and Web connection technology, information superhighway to tradition industrialist manufacture and e-transformation's propulsion that wish to maximize productivity and administration efficiency Is spread vigorously. In this paper, we wish to accomplish generation equipment's heighten stability and believability through remote monitoring and control of PV system. This paper describes the design of the monitoring system for sensing the monitoring data and indirect controlling of the PV system. Most of the conventional monitoring system depend on the special hardware and software. Basic design goal of monitoring system is to provide the convenience for the user and the portability for the system. In order for the system to fulfill its requirements, it was designed using Labview GUI facility based on the Windows 2000 environment of IBM PC compatible and Add-on card based on the TCP/IP protocol. Advantage of the monitoring system are a personnel expenses curtailment effect, free of the place restriction and unmanned system of the generation plants, etc..

  • In this paper, in order to control uncertain chaotic system, an adaptive fuzzy control(AFC) scheme is developed for the multi-input/multi-output plants represented by the Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy models. The proposed AFC scheme provides robust tracking of a desired signal for the T-S fuzzy systems with uncertain parameters. The developed control law and adaptive law guarantee the boundedness of all signals in the closed-loop system. In addition, the chaotic state tracks the state of the stable reference model(SRM) asymptotically with time for any bounded reference input signal. The suggested AFC design technique is applied for the control of an uncertain Lorenz system based on T-S fuzzy model such as stabilization, synchronization and chaotic model following control(CMFC).

An Overlaid Hybrid-Division Duplex OFDMA System with Multihop Transmission

  • In this letter, we propose an overlaid hybrid division duplex (HDD) concept for cellular systems which divides a cell into inner and outer regions and utilizes the merits of both time division duplex (TDD) and frequency division duplex (FDD). The proposed system can take advantage of both TDD and FDD without handover between two duplex schemes. Moreover, it is shown that the proposed HDD system outperforms the conventional TDD or FDD system with mobile relay stations when the synchronization issue is considered in orthogonal frequency division multiple access systems. Thus, the proposed overlaid HDD can be considered as a new framework for future cellular systems.

Simulation of the Reduction of Force Ripples of the Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor

  • The significant drawback of the permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) is force ripples, which are generated by the distortion of the stator flux linkage distributions, cogging forces caused by the interaction of the permanent magnet and the iron core and the end effects. This will deteriorate the performance of the drive system in high precision applications. The PMLSM and its parasitic effects are analyzed and modeled using the complex state-variable approach. To minimize the force ripple and realize the high precision control, the components of force ripples are extracted first and then compensated by injecting the instantaneous current to counteract the force ripples. And this method of the PMLSM system is realized by the field oriented control method. In order to verify the validity of this proposed method, the system simulations are carried out and the results are analyzed. The effectiveness of the proposed force ripples reduction method can be seen according to the comparison between the compensation and non-compensation cases.
