  • 본 논문에서는 PWM 승압형 컨버터/인버터를 사용한 교류전동기 구동시스템에서 커먼 모드 전압의 크기를 dc 버스 전압 1/3이하로 제한시키는 새로운 공간전압벡터 PWM 기법을 제안한다. Dc 버스 전압의 2/3에 해당하는 커먼 모드 전압 펄스가 발생하는 경우에 대하여 고찰하고 각각의 경우에 대한 인버터 스위칭 시점의 이동을 통한 제거 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 부가의 하드웨어를 요구하지 않고 소프트웨어적으로 손쉽게 구현될 수 있으며, 전력변환기의 제어성능에 영향을 미치지 않는다는 장점을 가진다.

  • PWM-VSI based ac-drives have high nonlinearity due to dead-time in the inverter and the voltage drop across the switching devices. In this paper, we introduced a new nonlinear model of PWM-VSl including parastic capacitor and also showed validity of the model by circuit simulations and experiments. Furthermore, we proposed an on-line identification algorithm for the uncertain model parameters.

  • The non-ideal elements inherent in all categories of AC drives have a significant influence on the performance of speed control. For the high performance of speed control, these non-ideal elements must be considered. This paper discusses the side effects of non-ideal elements such as the offset current of A/D converter, asymmetry of motor and so on and proposes simple compensation methods which are also applicable to any kinds of the motor drive systems. In the experimental results, it is observed that the proposed compensation methods improve the performance of speed control.

  • Bidirectional DC-DC converters allow transfer of power between two dc sources, in either direction. Due to their ability to reverse the direction of flow of power, Dey are being increasingly used in many applications such as battery charge/dischargers, do uninterruptible power supplies, electrical vehicle motor drives, aerospace power systems, telecom power supplies, etc. This Paper Proposes a new bidirectional Sepic/Zeta converter. It has low switching loss and low conduction loss due to auxiliary communicated circuit and synchronous rectifier operation, respectively Because of positive and buck/boost-like DC voltage transfer function(M=D/1-D), the proposed converter is very desirable for use in distributed power system. The proposed converter also has both transformer-less version and transformer one.

  • The speed control of SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) needs the accurate position and speed data of rotor. This information is generally provided by a shaft encoder or resolver. In some cases, the environment is which the motor operates may cause difficulties in maintaining the satisfactory position detection performance. Therefore, the elimination of the position and speed sensor has gained wide attention. In this paper, a new algorithm for estimation of rotor position and speed is described for the SRM drives. This method uses is nonlinear adaptive observer using the MRAS(Model Reference Adaptive System). The observer is proved by Lyapunov Stability Theory. This algorithm was implemented with a TMS320C31 DSP. Experiment results prove that the observer is able to estimate the speed and position with a little errors.

  • Stator Transient inductance has much influence on rotor flux orientation. In this paper, a new simple on-line tuning scheme of inductances including stator transient inductance for rotor flux orientation control is proposed. Detuned effects caused by inductance variations are shown and simple on-line tuning scheme of them is proposed. Inductances are estimated and tuned by only stator flux and stator current. The proposed scheme is effective in wide speed region including the field weakening region. The proposed on-line tuning scheme is confirmed by the simulation and experiment results.

  • The paper presents an accurate loss model based controller of an induction motor to calculate the optimal air gap flux. The model includes copper losses, iron losses, harmonic losses, friction and windage losses, and stray losses. These losses are represented as a function of the air gap flux. By using the calculated optimal air gap flux compared with rated flux for speed sensorless indirect vector controlled induction motor, an improvement in motor efficiency is achieved. The motor speed performance is improved using a fuzzy logic speed controller instead of a PI controller. The fuzzy logic speed controller was simulated using the fuzzy control interface block of MATLAB/SIMULINK program. The control algorithm is experimentally tested within a PC under RTAI-Linux. The simulation and experimental results show the improvement in motor efficiency and speed performance.

  • In this paper, we show that the rotor position of the bifilar-wound hybrid stepping motors for the closed-loop drives is detected by the phase current measurement. We propose an instantaneous phase current equation, which is the function of electrical angle, by the modeling of the stepping motor including motor driving circuits. We also analyze the relationship between phase current and rotor position from the computer simulation results. It is shown that the information about the rotor position is obtained from the phase current amplitude and its derivatives at the instance of ${\pi}/2$ electrical angle of excitation voltage.

  • The simple motor construction and low cost, fault tolerant power electronic drive has made the switched reluctance drive a strong contender for many applications. But the switched reluctance drive does exhibit higher levels of vibration and acoustic noise than that of most competing drives. The main source of vibration in the switched reluctance drive is generated by rapid change of radial force when phase current is extinguished during commutation action. In this paper, a hybrid excitation method is proposed to reduce vibration and acoustic noise of the switched reluctance drive. The hybrid excitation has 2-phase excitation by long dwell angle as well as conventional 1-phase excitation. The vibration and acoustic noise are reduced because the scheme reduces abrupt change of excitation level by distributed and balanced excitation.

  • We design a stable controller for a mobile robot with variable gains and reference velocity in order to apply the proper gains and reference velocity, which are generated with fuzzy logic in on-line. The stability is guranteed by the Lyapunov theory. The fuzzy logic rules is found in off-line with GA strategy which drives each object function to be the least. The proposed controller is applied smooth path tracking due to the local path planing. Simulation results show robust performances under a different initial conditions.
