Electric shock due to the increased use of power, equipment accidents, electrical accidents, such as electric fire and also continues to grow. To prevent electric shock accidents, an experience education is more effective than indoctrination education. But an electric shock experience education system required a proper physical stimulation on human body to experience electric shock. In this study, we conducted a study to take advantage of the realistic haptic interface using a low-frequency type experiential learning and prevention education. Results of this study could be applied to an electric shock experience education system.

In the last couple of decades industrialization and technological development has not only increase in the scale of electrical facilities and it has become more and more complicated and diversified. Furthermore, fires in the electrical transformers, like those that have knocked out power in the country in the past years, are likely to become more common as utility systems begin to show their age. The importance of preventing electrical accidents can never be overemphasized and for this reason, supply of on-line diagnosis system combining information and communication technology(ICT) for the customer's electrical facilities has been increasing recently. The major advantage of on-line diagnosis system is that the device's potential problems could be detected early before a serious deterioration or breakdown occurs. In this paper, We estimated the benefit from the investment in the right of present value of sales, success rate of commercialization regarding R&D investment for development and commercialization of on-line diagnosis technology targeting customer electrical facilities. As a result, the net value added of 29.7 billion won and the increased profit by roughly 7.52 precent are expected.

Recent statistical data regarding electric shock accidents have been analyzed to examine the electric shock accidents occurred at the voltage of 22,900[V], In order to demonstrate the mechanism of the 22,900[V] electric shock accident, a number of experiments to simulate electric shock accidents have been performed based on the analysis results. In the experiment, the current flowing through a human body model was measured to quantitatively analyze the hazards of the simulated electric shock accidents in various situations. As a result of the experiment, it was shown that once an electric shock accident occurred the accident proved fatal to the human body, regardless of electric shock situation.
The increase in the number of fatal electric accidents over the years has escalated the demand for specialized forensic engineers to determine their relevant technical causes. Likewise, the complexities associated with identifying the causes of electrocution accidents have prompted the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology at Dubai Police to adopt a new methodology to diagnose electrocution accidents, consisting of an approach that involves medico-legal examination, electrical diagnosis of the evidence, and trace evidence analysis. This paper will discuss the application of the adopted method in further detail by unfolding two case reports. The first report outlines a case in which a worker got electrocuted at a construction site while attempting to turn on a lamp. The second case report involves the death of a technician in a workshop after trying to disconnect a washing machine from its plug. The methodology was utilized during the investigation of both cases, which were attended by the appointed forensic engineers and showed promising results.

The development of industry and the increase in the use of fossil fuels have accelerated the process of global warming and climate change, resulting in more frequent and intense natural disasters than ever before. Since electricity facilities are often installed outdoors, they are heavily influenced by natural disasters and the number of related accidents is increasing. In this paper, we analyzed the statistical status of domestic electrical fires, electric shock accidents, and electrical equipment accidents and hence analyzed the risk associated with climate change. Through the analysis of the electrical accidental data in connection with the various regional (metropolitan) climatic conditions (temperature, humidity), the risk rating and charts for each region and each equipment were produced. Based on this analysis, a basic electric risk prediction model is presented and a method of displaying an electric hazard prediction map for each region and each type of electric facilities through a website or smart phone app was developed using the proposed analysis data. In addition, efforts should be made to increase the durability of the electrical equipment and improve the resistance standards to prevent future disasters.

Despite advances in technology, crushing accidents still occur during emergency evacuations of crowded public spaces. To prevent crushing accidents, it is necessary to understand the flow of pedestrians during evacuation scenarios through experiments. Since experiments with humans can generate real accidents, we performed experiments on rodents to approximate human behavior. To trigger an emergency evacuation response, we applied electrical stimulation to the feet of the rodents. Although electrical stimulation has been applied to mice in many experiments, studies on the intensity and pattern of electric stimulation required to evoke a rapid evacuation response in mice is still lacking. In this study, we experimentally investigated how the evacuation flow of mice changes according to the amplitude, event, and duration of electric stimulation.

It's a general tendency that electrical facilities of power station become a large size and increase in number because electrical facilities become big and complicated with internal industrial development and economic growth. So, electrical accidents were increased in this electrical facilities of power station. Therefore, we studied on the safety environment in power station and compared of internal and external standards. So this paper gives information which is applied to install the electrical facilities and prevents measures against electrical accidents.
The current electrical safety plan developed for the national electricity system has been playing an important role in handling a variety of electrical accidents. However, it can be more effective to prevent or reduce those accidents if a preventive electrical safety plan is available. In this paper, an approach to developing the safety plan is described. We first discuss the contents that should be included in the plan. Noting that an effective plan requires the system level consideration of all the factors affecting the safety issues, an operation concept document (OCD) is considered. The OCD can allow us to understand the behavior of the safety system based on the operation environment, the system functions, the performance requirements, all at the system level of the safety system. Thus, the OCD can be useful in developing the safety plan. A detailed description then follows on how the OCD is developed for the electrical safety system under study. Finally, we discuss how the developed OCD can be used in deriving the preventive electrical safety plan.
There have been many efforts to prevent accidents in Korea for the last 25 years. Many measures in the area of hardware sciences including electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering, etc. were applied to eliminate or at least reduce causes of accidents. However, the accidents rate has not been reduced much despite of these measures. This research aimed to find real causes of these accidents and to suggest a comprehensive model that can mainly be applied to industrial fields to find potential or existence of human errors during the pre-installation stage or after an accident. We tried to explain sequences of an operator's information process that might cause human errors on one hand, and life cycle stages of facilities involved when human errors occur on the other hand. With this comprehensive model presented in this research, one can follow up the sequence of human errors caused by operators. Further, errors made at the design stage which could be a main cause of accidents can be tracked. It is recommended that this comprehensive model should be used to prevent human errors in industrial fields since safety personnel can easily find out errors or error potentials through the life cycle stages of manmachine facilities.
