초소형 전기 장치에 의한 전기 자극이 치아 이동과 주위 조직 개조에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구 (A study on the effects of Electrical stimulation by the miniature Electric device on the tooth movement and tissue remodeling)

  • 낮은 강도의 전류는 골세포의 활성화 대사를 증가시키는 것으로 알려져 왔다. 이 연구는 초소형 전기 장치에 의한 전기 자극이 교정적 치아 이동에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위하여, 체중 3kg내외의 고양이 6마리를 대상으로 가철성 교정장치와 NiTi coil spring(75gm)을 사용하여 상악 견치를 이동시켰다. 실험군측 견치에는 교정력과 간헐적인 $20{\mu}A$의 전기 자극을 가하였고, 대조군측에는 같은 크기의 교정력만을 가한 후 4주 동안의 치아 이동량을 측정하여 비교하였으며, 치아를 중심으로 조직을 절취하여 탈회하고 조직 처리 후 광학 현미경으로 치주조직의 변화를 비교하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 28일간의 실험 기간 동안 실험측의 치아 이동량은 대조군에 비하여 현저히 증가하여, 4주후에 실험측의 치아는 대조군에 비하여 37% 증가된 이동량을 기록하였다. 2. 전기 자극을 받은 치아의 치근 견인측에서 대조군에 비하여 조직학적으로 증가된 골형성 양상이 관찰되었다. 3. 28일간의 전기 자극과 교정력으로 실험측 치아의 압박측에서 대조군에 비하여 증가된 골 흡수 양상이 관찰되었다. 4. 실험군 견치 치근 주위 조직에서는 전반적으로 더 많은 수의 조골 및 파골 세포들과 모세 혈관, 골양 조직들이 관찰됨으로써 증가된 조직 세포 활성을 반영하였다. 5. 1일 5시간 동안의 간헐적 전류 자극은 치아 이동량을 증가시키고 조직 개조를 활성화시키는 효과가 있었다. 이상의 결과는 외부에서 가한 낮은 강도의 간헐적 전기 자극으로 교정적 치아 이동량이 많아지고 치주 조직의 개조 활성이 증가됨을 보이므로 초소형 전기 장치에 의한 자극은 치아 이동과 주위 조직 개조를 촉진시킬 가능성이 있을 것으로 평가되었다.

사용자의 전기요금 부담 여부에 따른 여름철 냉방기 사용 특성의 비교 (A comparison of resident's behavior of operating air conditioner according to the charge for electric)

  • An electrical bill is one of the various factors that influence on energy use of residents. This study focused on electrical bills and searched that whether electrical bills affect resident behavior of operating air conditioner and their controlled indoor climate. We surveyed two groups for field study ; the one is residents who live in a studio apartment in Seoul and they are charged for electric as energy consumption they used, and the other is residents who live in a university dormitory and they are not charged for their energy consumption. We measured how long they used the air conditioner for cooling, on/off temperature of air conditioner and room temperature for these two groups. Residents were interviewed about their cooling needs, decisions about when to turn on their air conditioner and so on. We found that dormitory group has much amount of time used the air conditioner than studio apartment group and there are differences of room temperature between two groups when they turn on or off air conditioner. The result shows that perception of money affects resident behavior of operating air conditioner and their acceptable thermal range.

A Novel Controller for Electric Springs Based on Bode Diagram Optimization

  • A novel controller design is presented for the recently proposed electric springs (ESs). The dynamic modeling is analyzed first, and the initial Bode diagram is derived from the s-domain transfer function in the open loop. The design objective is set according to the characteristics of a minimum phase system. Step-by-step optimizations of the Bode diagram are provided to illustrate the proposed controller, the design of which is different from the classical multistage leading/lagging design. The final controller is the accumulation of the transfer function at each step. With the controller and the recently proposed δ control, the critical load voltage can be regulated to follow the desired waveform precisely while the fluctuations and distortions of the input voltage are passed to the non-critical loads. Frequency responses at any point can be modified in the Bode diagram. The results of the modeling and controller design are validated via simulations. Hardware and software designs are provided. A digital phase locked loop is realized with the platform of a digital signal processor. The effectiveness of the proposed control is also validated by experimental results.

Declutching control of a point absorber with direct linear electric PTO systems

  • Declutching control is applied to a hemispherical wave energy converter with direct linear electric Power-Take-Off systems oscillating in heave direction in both regular and irregular waves. The direct linear Power-Take-Off system can be simplified as a mechanical spring and damper system. Time domain model is applied to dynamics of the hemispherical wave energy converter in both regular and irregular waves. And state space model is used to replace the convolution term in time domain equation of the heave oscillation of the converter due to its inconvenience in analyzing the controlled motion of the converters. The declutching control strategy is conducted by optimal command theory based on Pontryagin's maximum principle to gain the controlled optimum sequence of Power-Take-Off forces. The results show that the wave energy converter with declutching control captures more energy than that without control and the former's amplitude and velocity is relatively larger. However, the amplification ratio of the absorbed power by declutching control is only slightly larger than 1. This may indicate that declutching control method may be inapplicable for oscillating wave energy converters with direct linear Power-Take-Off systems in real random sea state, considering the error of prediction of the wave excitation force.

전동차용 접지브러쉬 편중마모에 대한 해석 (Analsis of Preponderant Wear of Earth Brush for an Electrical Multiple Units(EMUs))

  • Earth brush for electrical multiple units(EMUs) is a device through which the current of the EMU load's consumed power fed from the DC 1,500V overhead line (or from the AC 25.000V catenary) flows via axle to the rail(ground) and which prevents the electric corrosion of the axle bearings by preventing the current flow to the axle bearings caused by electric potential from the magnetic field when the bearings rotate together with the earthing function when a thunderbolt falls or a surge comes. The earth brush wear rates among cars, however, shows quite differences when the earth brushes after being separated from the holders are measured with vernier callipers every 6 months of maintenance period. Main causes of the earth brush wear are divided as mechanical, electric arc and electrical one, and the factors can be running speed, current, harmonics, connection state. spring tension, earth brush material, lubricant and so on. but only the earth brushes of the motor(M1) car show the highest wear rate and moreover maintenance difficulty occurs because of the wear rate differences among e earth brushes in one holder. The reason for these preponderant wear comes from the design concept of making preponderant current flow to some particular earth brushes and moreover the heat generated by the harmonics when the inverter starts to operate accelerate the wear. By defining these causes through experiments. I hope that the found results would be helpful for the future EMU design, safety, economy and maintenance.

전기 자동차용 경량화 서스펜션 모듈 개발 (Lightweight Suspension Module Development for Electric Vehicle)

  • 현재 전기자동차의 높은 에너지 효율 및 승차감을 모두 만족시키기 위해 경량 서스펜션 개발에 많은 초점이 맞추어 지고 있다. 개발되고 있는 경량 서스펜션중 rubber tube로 만들어진 에어서스펜션이 에너지효율 및 승차감을 만족시킨다고 평가 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 높은 전장비의 특징을 가지는 전기자동차용 에어서스펜션을 개발하였다. 또한 실제 에어서스펜션의 성능 향상 연구를 위해 유연 다물체 동역학 모델(MFBD) 방법을 이용하여 모델링하였고, 에어서스펜션에서 중요한 역할을 하는 rubber tube의 경우는 FE기법을 통해 모델링 하였다. 에어서스펜션의 각 모듈 특성을 고려하여 모듈별 물성실험을 진행 및 물성치를 추정하였다. MFBD모델의 신뢰성 확인을 위해 물성치를 적용시킨 시뮬레이션 결과와 실제 실험결과를 비교하였다.

상용차용 전동식 클러치의 동적특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dynamic Characteristics of a Electric Motor Clutch for Commercial Vehicles)

  • To improve the performance of clutch actuator of clutch-by-wire system for commercial vehicles, it is necessary to understand the driving characteristics of the system. To explain and predict the effects of driving characteristics on clutch characteristics, AMESim software is used. The simulation model of clutch-by-wire system is developed in the AMESim environments under the geometrical dimensions and driving mechanisms of the clutch-by-wire system, such as the rotation speed of the DC motor, the gear ratio of the reducer, the design parameters of the release fork, the coefficient of the clutch diaphragm spring, and so on. The results show that the theoretical analysis of the clutch-by-wire system for commercial vehicles using the AMESim software find out the driving characteristics of the clutch actuator, and predict the performance characteristics of the clutch-by-wire system.

Analysis on the Operational Characteristics of the Combined Generation System with Power Storage Apparatus that Apply Microcontroller

  • The developments of the solar and the wind power energy are necessary since the future alternative, energies that have no pollution and no limitation are restricted. Currently power generation system of MW scale has been developed, but it still has a flew faults with the weather condition. In order to solve these existing problem combined generation system of photovoltaic(400W) and wind power generation system(400W) was suggested. It combines wind power and solar energy to have the supporting effect from each other. However, since even combined generation system cannot always generate stable output with ever-changing weather condition, power storage apparatus that uses elastic energy of spiral spring to combined generation system was also added far the present study. In an experiment, when output of combined generation system gets lower than 12V(charging voltage), power was continuously supplied to load through the inverter by charging energy obtained from generating rotary energy of spiral spring operates in small scale generator.

초단펄스 응용 전해증착에 의한 마이크로 구조물 제작 (Microfabrication by Localized Electrochemical Deposition Using Ultra Short Pulses)

  • In this research, microfabrication technique using localized electrochemical deposition (LECD) with ultra short pulses is presented. Electric field is localized near the tool tip end region by applying a few hundreds of nano second pulses. Pt-Ir tip is used as a counter electrode and copper is deposited on the copper substrate in 0.5 M CuSO$_4$ and 0.5 M H$_2$SO$_4$ electrolyte. The effectiveness of this technique is verified by comparison with LECD using DC voltage. The deposition characteristics such as size, shape, surface, and structural density according to applied voltage and pulse duration are investigated. The proper condition is selected from the results of the experiments. Micro columns less than 10 $\mu$m in diameter are fabricated using this technique. The real 3D micro structures such as micro pattern and micro spring can be fabricated by this method. It is suggested that presented method can be used as an easy and inexpensive method for fabrication of microstructure with complex shape.

세탁기용 자동신통저감장치($Auto-Leg^{TM}$)의 최적 설계 (Optimal Design of an Auto-Leg System for Washing Machines)

  • Automatic washing machines have been improved and popularized steadily since the first electric washing machine was produced in the early 1900's. Appliance industry has tried to obtain the performance of washing machine with large capacity, high energy efficiency, low vibration and low noise levels. As the installation peace of a washer becomes closer to the living space, vibration and noise problems become more important challenges. In general, a washing machine has four legs to support its body. Four legs of the washing machine should be attached on a floor. If not so, it may cause severe vibration or walking in the spin-drying process. Unfortunately, the floor of an ordinary house is bumpy in general, and the consumers will not accept bolting washing machines to a foundation; moreover, sometimes they move the location of their washing machines to utility rooms or bath rooms or kitchens and don't care for leveling the legs exactly. In this study, we devise an auto-leg system that prevents the occurrence of abnormal vibration and walking of washing machines. It is simply composed of a spring and a friction damper. Some experiments are implemented to show the dynamic characteristics of the three-dimensional auto-legged washing machine model that is located on the even or uneven ground. A spring parameter is optimized to adjust the length of the auto-leg system automatically up to 10 mm irregularity, and the friction damper is designed to decrease a resonance induced by the spring of the auto-leg system. Some numerical results show that placing the proposed auto-leg system in a washing machine makes good performance with low vibration, as well as low noise, regardless of the unevenness of the floor.
