  • In this paper, We described the implementation of the Smart Gateway for heterogeneous interface integrated, Web Server and Building Energy Management System(: BEMS). The proposed system introduces the reduction of peak power and electric power usage with service model and operating algorithm for energy saving in building.

  • In spite of recent stagnation, the rate of electric consumption has highly grown in accordance with a high cultural livings, Also, a usage of electric energy is growing with development of multi-information society. To make the matter worse, hard work of highest order is required because distribution system are widely spread and complex. And consummers demand for the electricity of good quality and it is obstracle to be not able to train related technitian for maintenance without an interruption of electric power. It is sure the counterplan of uninterruption of electric power is very necessary. In this paper, considering the working circumstances, we presented the necessity of work method, the effects and the future prospect for uninterruption power supply.

  • KORAIL is one of the biggest consumer in electric power market so it is necessary to investigate power consumption pattern and optimize power rates. This paper presents simulation program for electric power rates define program based on billing system database. Base on the substation annual power usage DB data, the characteristic of the substation power consumption are investigated and effective electrical billing system are compared each other. Through this program it is verified that we can save more then several hundred million won for a year. Also electric train air condition power consumption was measured to figure the method how to reduce peak energy consumption.

  • The vehicle electric power system, which consists of two major components: a generator and a battery, which have to provide numerous electrical and electronic systems with enough electrical energy. A detailed understanding of the characteristics of the electric power system, electrical load demands, and the driving environment such as road, season, and vehicle weight is required when the capacities of the generator and the battery are to be determined for a vehicle. An easy-to-use and inexpensive simulation program may be needed to avoid the over/under design problem of the electric power system. A vehicle electric power simulator is developed in this study. The simulator can be utilized to determine the optimal capacities of generators and batteries. To improve the expandability and easy usage of the simulation program, the program is organized in modular structures, and is run on a PC. Empirical electrical models of various generators and batteries, and the structure of the simulation program are presented. For executing the vehicle electric power simulator, data of engine speed profile and electric loads of a vehicle are required, and these data are obtained from real driving conditions. In order to improve the accuracy of the simulator, numerous driving data of a vehicle are logged and analyzed.

  • Recently the number of IT equipment have increased. It consumes large amounts of energy and is emissions of greenhouse gases. Co2 emissions with the PC and the monitor has the highest percentage to 39% more than other IT equipment. In addition, Plan for your PC's power management and technology development is being pursued in developed countries. To reduce energy costs of organizations with large numbers of the PC and to cut down on Co2 emissions, the energy load control technology of ACPI standards-based PC IS suggested. AMI-based PC power-management system was constructed, Approximately 20% of operating a result of the test power consumption was reduced. Looking at the case of the United States, PC monitors from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh was Sleep mode. As a result, the monitor on a, $ 20 for a year reduced energy costs. In GE(General Electronic), Approximately 75,000 PC's power setting time was Monitor Off :15 minutes/ Hard Drives Off 30 minutes/ System Standby 30 minutes/ Hibernation mode 2 hours. 1 year, electric bill was $ 2.5 million savings and 3 years electric bill was $ 6.5 million savings. Measuring energy usage data, using the measured data, electric energy management technology is not. Platform development to measure energy usage for Individual energy-consuming equipment is urgently required.

  • SF6 is used as an insulating gas because of its excellent electrical insulation properties, non-toxicity, and non-inflammability. On the other hand, the global warming potential of SF6 is 23,900 times higher than that of CO2. The Korea electric power cooperation (KEPCO) is responsible for 80% of the domestic SF6 usage, and approximately 6,000 tons are currently charged in electrical and power facilities. KEPCO will gradually replace the insulating gas with SF6-free gas from 2023. SF6 decomposition facilities are required because more than 60 tons of SF6 will need to be disposed of annually from existing equipment. This study developed a novel decomposition and pollution control system that can process 60 tons of SF6 per year. This facility can decompose more than 97.7% of SF6, with the emissions of hazardous and toxic materials below the legal limit.

  • The increase of $CO_2$ emission by increasing of fossil fuel usage has been understood a major cause of global warming. The supply of electric energy is heavily dependent on the massive thermal power and nuclear power plant before developing the renewable energy to supply the electric energy stably at a low price. The large and sound forged components of pressure vessel, turbine and generator are widely used in power plant such as wind power, hydroelectric power generation, nuclear power and thermal power plant. This paper is discussed the trend of manufacturing technology for pressure vessel and turbine to satisfy the required condition of utility company. It is also introduced a strategy of forging industry to cope with carbon tax.

  • This study predicts the power consumption of an Electric Propulsion Ship (EPS) in marine environment. The EPS is driven by a propeller rotated by a propulsion motor, and the power consumption of the propeller changes by the marine environment. The propulsion motor consumes the highest percentage of the ships' total power. Therefore, it is necessary to predict the power consumption and determine the power generation capacity and the propeller capacity to design an efficient EPS. This study constructs a power estimation simulator for EPS by using a ship motion model including marine environment and an electric power consumption model. The usage factor that represents the relationship between power consumption and propulsion is applied to the simulator for power prediction. Four marine environment scenarios are set up and the power consumed by the propeller to maintain a constant ship speed according to the marine environment is predicted in each scenario.

  • In this paper, in an aircraft power can be measured by wireless AEMS (aircraft electric power measurement monitoring system) system is proposed. AEMS has been design based on current commercialized power measuring systems analysis with improvement and connects it with most talked about item, smart phone and monitoring system. And also adopting real time power measuring system, constitute more practical power measuring system by controlling electricity usage in real time.

  • In island and backcountry areas, electrical power is usually supplied by diesel generators. It is difficult for small scale diesel generators to have an economy of scale owing to the usage of fossil fuels to produce electricity. Also, there is a problem of carbon dioxide emissions that brings some environmental pollution to the entire region of the area. For solving those, this paper proposes a design method of autonomous micro-grid to minimize the fossil fuels of diesel generator, which is composed of diesel generator, wind turbine, battery energy storage system and photovoltaic generation system. The proposed method was verified through computer simulation and micro-grid operation system.
